This is a Private Street with parking. (No Street Sweepers). This unit has over 1750 Sq. Ft.

Long Beach is also the most centrally located and the most reasonably priced of any costal community. You can’t find better weather or more friendly people. Think twice before you chose another location.

Purchased Ocean Front Duplex as a home and investment...turned into vacation rental in 2006. First guest were a family from Dublin, Ireland arriving on July 19th, 2006

What makes this apartment unique

Beach access, beautiful views of Santa Catalina Island, Queen Mary, Oil Island Etc. No street sweepers...Long Beach has street sweepers once or twice a week, but not on this street.

Casa Blanca in April

This is our second time renting this property. On both occasions, we rented in April with our group of 5-7 guys. Casa Blanca offers an excellent location. It's close walking distance to Belmont Shore Pier, beach, restaurants and Von's Market. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook at home and for us, the main feature is the expansive outdoor patio area with numerous tables and seating for all. Evenings spent outside grilling and enjoying the ocean breeze and views are just about perfect.

I highly recommend this property for groups and family's looking for a great location between Long Beach and 2nd Street. The owner, Tom Duncan is extremely responsive and informative and has been a pleasure to deal with.

Great for Families, Walk to everything

Overall this was a great place to stay to be central in Long Beach -- access to local neighborhoods, Belmont Shore a 10 minute walk, the beach and bike paths literally a stones throw away. Ample parking too.

Owner Tom was very cordial over the course of many emails before and after our stay.

Location is excellent -- walk to Second Street and also to east Broadway for great variety of neighborhood restaurants.

Beach is a short walk and you can see the Pier and Ocean from the balcony, and your kids playing on the beach from the end of the driveway.

House is typical So Cal -- interesting 40's-ish architecture with open family room and views...someone said no AC in a prior review -- who needs it when you are on the Pacific Ocean?

The layout was great for large families -- you really could sleep a dozen here and with our family of 6 is was no problem.

Deck is great -- lots of space to hang out for morning coffee or pm drinks. It easily could accommodate a gathering of 20+ people with the owner's permission.

Tom was very accommodating -- we were there for New Years and wanted to watch the Bowl games, so he turned on the sports channels on the TV. WiFi was out due to some high winds, but we didn't need it much...just note this isn't a hotel and you need to roll with the punches.

Cooking, coffee, etc were a breeze as the place had all the utensils, a Viking Range, and was stocked with basic spices and things like that. A local market was only a short block away that had everything else we'd need.

We will definitely come back.

Great Experience

I rented the house for a group of us that were coming over for a business convention. It was comfortable for our needs and the owners were very helpful. The location is great for walking to the beach and there is a little store that is within walking distance as well. Although it is a bit dated and the lack of AC was challenging for some, we would definitely rent it again.

nice location

The Good: Nice location, great for lrg. family. The patio deck on owners unit was awesom. Plenty of parking.

Tomas was very helpful and answered all my questions.

The Bad: Little outdated and worn, No A/C, and the portable Fans in each room were old and noisy. BUT IT IS A RENTAL, and not the Ritz. It did take a few phone calls to get my deposit back, little over two weeks. I hope in the future thomas is more speedy on the deposit refund. Over all, our family had a good time in this rental.

Great service and location

I rented Casa Blanca for my family that came into town for our annual reunion. The location was great for the various things we wanted to do in the LA and OC areas, and the house itself was very comfortable and welcoming for all my family. Tom, the owner, was very helpful in working with me on the arrangements, and I would be happy to work with him in the future.

Get Away and Relax

After looking at a few rentals in the area, we came upon this rental, Casa Blanca. It had a great location by the beach, and it was close to Long Beach State University. Which is why we were there, my daughter was graduating from college and we needed a place that slept at least 10 people. It did and then some, it was like being at home with all the comforts, and the patio deck below was awesome. Was also close to some good restaurants, and Von's which we went to a lot to buy groceries. I would highly recommend this place and plan to go back in the near future.
