Amazing Cabin Away from Home!
We absolutely love this cabin! The Lake of the Woods has been our favorite summer family vacation for almost 20 years, and this cabin has become, by far, our favorite place to stay. The dock and the grassy area around it are perfect for spending the day hanging out and playing in the water. We used the fire pit at night and it was great to enjoy a campfire without the experience of smoke in our faces. The cabin itself is amazing. The deck with the beautiful view of the lake is a great place to enjoy morning coffee. The cabin is well stocked with towels and all of the necessities for meals. We have stayed here twice and both times we have found the cabin very clean and tidy upon our arrival. The owner, Peg, provides bottled water for drinking, which is a huge plus. . She is very friendly and super easy to work with. We can’t wait for our next trip!

Wonderful vintage cabin on beautiful lake with great dock for sunning and boating.
Old vintage cabin on the lake, well supplied with linen and kitchen supplies. Not for the handicapped but we were not so that was not a problem. Three bedrooms sleep 11, and we filled them all. Wonderful, private dock, down the hill, there are steps and lighting at night. The kitchen is smallish and not much counter space, but large refrigerator/freezer and bottled water. kitchen and bath use lake water, not a problem if you have plenty of fresh water. They had a water dispenser and we brought more. Need to tell renters that the sign at driveway 6 says Geo. J.Armstrong ( not Allison ). Need a more universal can opener, we had a hard time figuring out the one there. There is a fireplace down by the dock, if it can be used ( fire danger? ) if needs a new spark arrester. One of our group is a fire fighter with Forest Service and noticed this. Otherwise fabulous place. We loved it.

This terrific cabin has been in my family for 4 generations. My Grandparents built it in the 30's, adding personal touches of the rock work and the tile inset of the sailboat on the chimney at the waterfront. The old wood cookstove is gone now, as is the outhouse, but thankfully time does bring about more modern amenities. I breath a sigh of pleasure each time I drive down the driveway, the day just awaiting wonderful new memories to be made. I would like you to be able to make your own memories too, come enjoy the cabin.
