Located just 3km from the sandy shores of the Costa del Sol in Andalusia, Spain, this bright and spacious apartment promises a dream holiday between the sea and mountains. Perfect for a family, the apartment has been thoughtfully furnished as very much a second home. It boasts a pretty, furnished terrace overlooking the courtyard and the beautiful swimming pool belonging to the complex, where you'll be free to cool off after a day at the beach.

The bright lounge/diner has a large sofa plus Satellite SKY News + free-view TV and a DVD-player, as well as a dining table and 6 chairs. The well-equipped kitchen has a ceramic hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, washing machine, dishwasher, iron and ironing board plus plenty of useful utensils that make for a real home away from home. The whole apartment has cool, tiled floors, and doors lead out from the living room to the sunny balcony, which catches the sun all day from left to right and has a table and chairs plus a sun lounger.

Get a great night's sleep in one of the two beautiful bedrooms, one with a double bed and one with two singles (a baby cot is available on request), or on the comfortable sofa bed in the lounge. There is a house shower/ WC and one ensuite bathroom.

The house boasts air conditioning, central heating, roller shutters and mosquito nets on the windows, safes for your valuables and alarms on doors and windows.

Cleaning, linen and towels are all included in the rental price. There is a refundable security deposit of 80 euros to be paid to the owner before arrival.

Private parking is available on site. Smoking and pets are not allowed.

The apartment is located near Miraflores Golf Club House and just a few minutes' drive from shops, bars and restaurants. The beach is approximately 3km away, and the beautiful town of La Cala, with its weekly market, is just a few kilometres further. Marbella is a 20-minute drive away, with the wonderful marina and cosmopolitan restaurants of Puerto Banus another 10 minutes down the coast. Málaga Airport is a 30-minute drive, as the coastal toll road can be reached within 5 minutes.

The Costa del Sol has more than 320 days of sunshine per year and the apartment is in a beautiful area, surrounded by lovely beaches, stunning countryside and attractive Spanish villages. The beaches at La Cala have been awarded EU Blue Flag Status and are scattered with lovely beach bars, which serve great food at very reasonable prices. Within half an hour you can be in beautiful countryside with rolling mountains and wonderful valleys, and in less than an hour there are fantastic walks in the Spanish lake district.

A half-hour drive inland, Mijas Costa is a postcard-perfect, typical Andalusian village, with narrow, cobbled streets and white-washed buildings. The town is worth exploring in great detail for its beautiful architecture, artisan art, performances and amazing cuisine. If you're keen to explore the beautiful coastline further, don’t miss a trip to the city of Málaga - 47km away from the apartment, highlights in one of the oldest cities in the world include the Picasso museum, the Atranazanas indoor market and the Alcazaba castle.

With so much to see and do near the apartment it’s hard to fit it all in, but our recommendations include: The lovely and lively traditional fishing village of La Cala de Mijas, with its EU Blue Flag beaches, fantastic markets and beachside bars; popular Riviera del Sol, centred on the excellent, family-friendly 18-hole Miraflores Golf Course; Calahonda, just after Riviera, boasting bars, restaurants, two commercial centres and a leisure centre with an indoor pool, gym, beauty salon and more; and picturesque Alhaurin el Grande, with a beautiful old town and a high street lined with cafes, bars and restaurants - this is a wonderful place to sample Spanish life!

For day trips, we recommend: Marbella, with something for everyone complimented by a maze of narrow alleyways, small squares and whitewashed houses festooned with flowers; exclusive Puerto Banus; the popular but unspoilt village of Mijas Pueblo; Benalmadena Costa & Pueblo, with the Sea Life submarine park, Tivoli World and Casino Torrequebradna; the long, sandy beach and lovely bars of Fuengirola; the attractive seafront of Estepona; and Seville, Andalusia's capital and largest city, and home of tapas. Well worth the 2-hour drive, Granada is a magnificent city with breathtaking architecture - don’t miss the Alhambra Palace and the famous Generalife Gardens!
