Set on lush farmland with views of rolling hills all around, Threpney Byre is a contemporary converted ‘roundhouse’ with tasteful furnishings and modern amenities to ensure a relaxing beak in the countryside.
The open-plan, downstairs living space is bright and boasts vaulted ceilings, a sitting area with a comfortable leather sofa and reclining chair and a digital LCD TV and DVD-player. The kitchen area sports courtyard views and all the equipment needed to cook up your meals, including an oven, hobs, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and freezer, and the bathroom has a tub with a separate shower cubicle and a toilet.
On the first floor/mezzanine you’ll find a charming double bedroom with a beamed, sloping ceiling. There are also several cots available free of charge and guest beds can be arranged at a fee.
Threpney Byre has a private, south-facing courtyard with garden furniture and use of a barbeque, and there is also a shared, outdoor playground and indoor heated playroom.
This property is perfect for a family holiday. The environment is child friendly. The owner offers free animal feeding for the children (and adults) each week day morning (holding the rabbits and guinea pigs, feeding the pigs and sheeps, hand feeding the goats and chickens, and collecting the eggs). After the animal feeding he also provides a free pony ride for the younger children or a tractor ride for kids (and adults) of all ages.
A car is essential and there is free, private parking on the property. Pets are not welcome, smoking is allowed outside only and parties are not permitted.

This lovely property promises the perfect Cornish holiday, with activities and attractions nearby that’ll keep everyone happy. The cottage is part of Polean Farm, a group of 18th century former barns converted into holiday cottages and set around a pretty courtyard. Try your hand at sailing, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, paragliding or tennis nearby, or take a 41-minute drive to the Cornish Coastal Path, rated as one of the top walks in the world! Must-do excursions include visiting the picturesque town of Polperro, the bustling and attractive fishing town of Looe, packed with shops, pubs and restaurants, and the historic and sophisticated seafaring town of Fowey, once home to Daphne du Maurier.
There are also caves, a zoo, ruins and a leisure centre not far from the property, a beach at 3 km and a golf course 11 km away. You’ll have all necessary amenities close at hand, with a supermarket at 1.5 km, a bar at the same distance and lovely restaurants about 6 km away.
