Named after the owls that live in nesting boxes around the building, this gorgeous holiday house combines a rustic look with contemporary and inviting interiors, making it the perfect base for a magical holiday in Cornwall. Set in its own, private garden with patio furniture, a barbecue and stunning views across fields full of horses and other animals, the former barn sleeps up to eight people (6 adults plus 2 children).
All the bedrooms sit on the ground floor: The Master has a king-size bed and a separate dressing area with double doors opening up to the front patio, plus an ensuite shower room/WC; bedroom two has twin beds and an ensuite with a bath, shower and WC; and bedroom three, which opens to the side garden, has twin beds and an ensuite with a shower and WC. Several cots are also available for free and guest beds can be provided at a surcharge.
Head upstairs to find the separate, fully-equipped kitchen and a beautiful, open lounge/dining room, with mod cons on offer including free WiFi, a washing machine, dryer and a 42” Plasma TV with a DVD-player and freeview.
Enjoy convivial family meals around the dining table, which seats eight people, or on the idyllic patio as you gaze across the fields. Whether you choose to stay at home or head out to explore, you’re in for an unforgettable holiday!
This property is perfect for a family holiday. The environment is child friendly. The owner offers free animal feeding for the children (and adults) each week day morning (holding the rabbits and guinea pigs, feeding the pigs and sheeps, hand feeding the goats and chickens, and collecting the eggs). After the animal feeding he also provides a free pony ride for the younger children or a tractor ride for kids (and adults) of all ages.
Towels, linen and cleaning are included.
A car is essential and there is free, private parking on the property. Pets are not welcome, smoking is allowed outside only and parties are not permitted.

This fabulous house is part of Polean Farm, a group of 18th century former barns converted into holiday cottages set around a pretty courtyard. The lovely towns of Looe, Polperro and Fowey can all be found within a few minutes’ drive, while activities on offer nearby include sailing, fishing, mountain biking, horse riding, paragliding and tennis.
A 41-minute drive will take you to the Cornish Coastal Path, rated as one of the top walks in the world! The famous trail is perfect whether you’re after a short stroll or more of a challenge, boasting stunning scenery and incredible wildlife. There are also caves, a zoo, ruins and a leisure centre not far from the property, a beach at 3 km and a golf course 11 km away. Plus, with a supermarket at 1.5 km, a bar at the same distance and lovely restaurants about 6 km away, you’ll have everything needed for a dream holiday close at hand.
