Welcome to the commune of Marchastel and “Résidence du Chênelong”, a gorgeous stone house that’s fully equipped to host 14 happy holidaymakers wanting to explore the Auvergne region.
Set in the Volcans d'Auvergne regional natural park, an area featuring stunning landscapes and a remarkable biodiversity, the house offers a peaceful base near activities including horseback riding, fishing, paragliding, rock climbing and swimming. Enjoy sweeping mountain views from home, then explore the Massif Central, the Gorges du Tarn or the many picturesque villages of the Lozere department.
The house is set in a fenced space and boasts a sunny terrace, featuring with a barbecue plus furniture for al fresco dining. Stepping inside, you’ll be greeted by vast living spaces with exposed-beam ceilings and a living room equipped with both a flat-screen and a traditional TV, Wi-Fi, plus a radio. Cook up a feast for your group in the spacious kitchen, boasting a fridge, freezer, stove, toaster, coffee machine, dishwasher and more, and enjoy it around a large dining table that seats 14.
The whole group is ensured a great night’s sleep in one of the 5 bedrooms: The ground floor hosts a double bedroom adapted to wheelchair users and upstairs you’ll find one double bedroom, one room with a double and two single beds, a third room with two double beds and a twin bedroom (2 baby cots are available on request). Each bedroom boast a TV. There’s a bathroom with a shower and WC, one with a bathtub/ shower combination and a separate WC.
Please bring your own linen and towels. A small tourist tax apply to pay on site. An electricity consumption volume is included in the price, any excess will be charged on site. End cleaning has to be done by the guests.
There is plenty of private parking behind the house, and pets are allowed.

Marchastel is the perfect base for exploring the natural beauty of Auvergne, set in the immense Auvergne regional natural park.
Spreading over 389 733 hectares, it’s the largest regional natural park in France, and the scenery includes thermal waters, lakes and imposing mountains. Visit volcanoes and ruins, embark on scenic hikes, horseback rides or cycling tours and indulge in plenty of chances to sample the local cuisine: We recommend L'escapade restaurant, 6km from the house and a nightcap at Chez Bibi in Lugarde, just 3km away.
Or why not stop by the nearest Carrefour supermarket, at 12km, and host a barbecue on your terrace overlooking the mountains?
