Perfectly located in the agriculturally rich countryside of southern Portugal, the thriving village of Algoz is famous for its market days. These traditional shopping venues are attractive to tourists for the very simple reason that they do not cater to them, but rather stay loyal to the traditional Portuguese culture; they are events you will not want to miss.
Despite its small size, the village boasts several different restaurants – so be sure to visit the establishment of your choice and ask for the Prata da Dia, or Dish of the Day, along with a glass of the best local wine.
Swim and try water sports at Gale beach, 16km from the property, and visit the town of Silves, just 8km from the property, for its magnificent Moorish castle. Golfers can tee off at Silves golf course, 6km away, nearest bar and restaurant are 500m from the house and the nearest supermarket is at 5km.
