Beautiful Propery in a secluded location.

This is a lovely residence in a wonderful part of France. It is well equipped and maintained. There is are all the comforts of home to make your holiday totally relaxing from dishwasher, washing machine, satellite TV wonderful showers etc. The quality of the furnishings is excellent. The pool is a delight. The road in is a little rough. You won't need a 4x4 to get here but if you turn up in a sports car you won't make it. We have rented all over the world and this must be one of the best properties we have experienced.

Beautiful house, very comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The house is modern and comfortable with all facilities. The pool area was also lovely with fantastic views. There are lots of beautiful, historic towns nearby to visit. The house is very private and secluded amongst the trees on the hillside. The only draw back with this was the amount of wasps that liked to cool down by the pool !

Yves

You’ll be a five-minute drive from the villages of Montricoux and Bruniquel, offering bars, boulangeries, a supermarket and a post office. Montricoux sports a plethora of local amenities and interesting walks, while Bruniquel is part of The Most Beautiful Villages of France association, and the town upholds its title with a picturesque mixture of old pink stone houses, timbered turrets, medieval gateways and colourful gardens. The town centre is 2 km from the house and is perfect for a peaceful stroll, and don’t miss a visit to the magnificent Château de Bruniquel: Overlooking the valley of the Aveyron, it’s believed to have been founded in the 6th century and boasts Renaissance and Baroque-style additions.

Nearby Antonin, a 25-minute drive from the house, is famous for its wonderful market and is a fantastic starting point from which to canoe down the Aveyron Gorges. Other activities on offer near the house include hunting, hiking, horse riding and mountain biking, and there are also vineyards and interesting museums to visit nearby. Don't miss Bruniquel’s Maison Payrol, a 17th century building formerly serving as the town’s Government House and now boasting historic objects and curiosities plus the region’s only toy museum, its more than 250 pieces including toy trains, cars, planes and miniature buildings.

You’ll find the nearest restaurant, bar and supermarket 1 km from the house and for excursions further afield, don’t miss highlights of the Midi-Pyrenées region including the city of Toulouse, with its picturesque historic centre, the imposing Château de Najac in Aveyron and the magnificent landscapes of the Dordogne Valley.
