This new, privately owned, sunny, modern and well-appointed apartment with panoramic view of the Mediterranean sea offers an ideal location for those wanting a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The large lounge and dining room lead to a spacious L-shaped covered terrace with outside furniture and the double bedroom also has a smaller balcony. Both have a delightful view of the bays.There are electric and hand operated shutters to all windows and all windows and outside doors have effective integral insect screens.

The apartment has digital TV (satellite dish available for personal sky box) , DVD player, Wi-Fi and integral air conditioning/central heating with a well-equipped kitchen featuring hob and oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-maker and a utility room with washing machine, iron and ironing board. The bathroom offers a power shower, bath and bidet. The master bedroom has a large double bed whilst the second bedroom has 2 single beds. There is an air bed for an extra adult sleeper.The building consists of three floors plus ground and there is lift access and it is wheelchair accessible. There is secure underground parking plus safe car parking on the cul-de-sac outside the building.

The complex has secure grounds with a large swimming pool and a paddling pool with outside shower and the surrounding garden is large enough for sunbathing. There is also a huge solarium/roof terrace where you may likely be the only sunbather and where clothes will dry in minutes on a hot day.

Location: This is a wonderful location for those holiday makers who do not wish to be sleeping amongst the 18/30 age group as there are no discos and noisy bars in this vicinity, these are located in L'Ampolla. There is just peace and tranquillity - the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and memorable holiday! There is help and advice available from a housekeeper who can be contacted in an emergency.

L'AMPOLLA: One of the last remaining unspoilt fishing villages along the East Coast of Spain. Plenty of fresh fish in the local restaurants and good natural food is in abundance. The village of L'Ampolla is located about two kilometres from the Urbanisation of Cap Roig, where the apartment is located. During the summer months, there are various local 'fiestas' where the visiting tourist is invited to join in with the fun. The ambience in the village is very family orientated and tasteful.

TARRAGONA: This region continues to retain its wonderfully Spanish traditions. It is not yet affected by mass tourism, except, perhaps for Port Aventura and Salou. Then again, children will want to visit Universal Studios Spanish answer to Disney World! Some, even those older ones! may fancy a trip to Barcelona FC at Camp Nau. The scenery along the River Ebro Basin is beautiful with plenty of little villages along the way just waiting to be explored. The Catalans are very welcoming and proud of their own traditions - just watch them working with pottery! The Ebro Delta is famous for its rice growing and protected Natural Wild Life Centre.

I had the opportunity to purchase a holiday home for myself and travelled for several months around Spain and the Costas. I developed a great love for Spain, particularly Catalonia. I returned to this area a number of times and trusted my intuition when I came across this apartment. I love to visit and consider this my second home and have decided to share it with others who have similar ideas of a wonderful holiday.

What makes this apartment unique

When I arrive at the apartment, usually 5-6 hours door to door from England, I only have to open the shutters and stand out onto the balcony to start relaxing. The views of the sea ahead, the mountains behind, the olive trees in front and the sound of the cicadas, make me forget the days behind me. Do come yourselves and enjoy!

Ideal apartment for two couples, or family of five. Mature surroundings and a peaceful environment. Cap Roig Urbanisation is very private with its own beaches. An ideal base from which to venture out and tour the beautiful surrounding areas. The harbour village of L'Ampolla is still relatively unspoilt and not affected by 'mass tourism' and is a typically Spanish, visited by discerning people from Barcelona needing their sun and sea fix. There are numerous scenic routes that can be enjoyed; from the Delta itself, up the River Ebro Valley and through the High Territories of the mountains. Each ancient town has its own magic and appeal, not to mention family restaurants, wines, food produce and ceramics. To the south of L’Ampolla lies the medieval town of Peniscola, where the movie “El Cid” was filmed. North of L’Ampolla lies such well know resorts as Cambrils, Salou & Tarragona, the Provincial capital city. Spain’s very own Universal Studios Port Aventura is but a 40 min drive away!

Lovely Apartment and Area

Booked to stay with the family for 2 weeks and found the apartment very nice and modern. It was well equipped and the apartment had a nice gardens and pool available which got the sun all day round. The area is quiet but very pleasant with a stone beach within walking distance of the apartment and a lovely sandy beach at L'ampolla only a 5 minute drive away. The area is very pretty and has a local feel which was nice. I would recommend having a car to help with getting about and doing shopping etc. The apartment has a lovely sea view and gets the sun in the morning which is lovely for breakfast.

Great modern apartment for a relaxing getaway

The apartment had everything we needed for a relaxing stay.We didn't need to use the air con as the weather was not too hot and with the balcony open there was a light breeze and a great view! There is enough room for 3 people to sit round the table on the balcony. The floor above the apartment gives access on to a really big roof terrace which was lovely and quiet and a great sun trap. The apartment block was quiet and we had the pool garden and terrace almost to our selves.The pool was just starting to heat up in the May sun as its not a heated pool.Its big enough to do decent lengths.You can walk to the two beaches in 10 -15 mins and a brisk 30 min walk into nearest fishing village l'ampolla.The town has a quiet atmosphere and Lu end up a little at night. It has few foreign tourists, some small supermarkets and decent restaurants and a couple of bars.These are your nearest shops to the apartment apart from a couple of bars on the beaches.I would definitely recommend hiring a car to get around as its a long trek back to the apartment with shopping bags! Plus there are lots of big towns and other places to visit in the surrounding areas including a beautiful monastry museum in the hills! We would definitely consider going again for a week and have recommended it to our friends! We had no problems with the apartment, very clean and Anna was very helpful with all are questions before we arrived! Thank you!

appartement à recommander

Nous sommes ravis de notre séjour à l'Ampolla.

Nous y sommes restés 15 jours, avec nos 3 enfants de 12, 13 et 6 ans.

L'appartement correspond parfaitement à la description. Il est calme, très bien équipé.

Il est propre.

Nous avons été très bien accueillis et les conseils concernant les visites à faire ont été précieux.

Il y a une plage de cailloux à proximité ( 10 min max à pieds) et une autre de sable à environ 1.5 kms.

L'ampolla est une petite ville. Tarragone est à 3/4 d'heures, idem pour le parc d'attraction Portaventura et Barcelone à 1h15.

Nous recommandons sans hésiter cette location.

Moderne, stilvolle Wohnung mit Meeresblick

Wir (2 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder) warem vom 21.07. - 02.08.2014 in der Wohnung. Diese ist sehr stilvoll und modern eingerichtet. Die Wohnung im zu oberst und bietet einen wunderbaren Blick aufs Meer. Wenn man die Fenster aufmacht, geht immer eine erfrischende Briese durch die Wohnung, so dass man die Kliemaanlage nicht bracht. Wir haben sie kein einziges mal eingeschaltet. Die Bahnlinie in der Nähe ist kein Problem, denn in der Nacht frahren keine Züge. Die Autobahn / Schnellstrasse stellte vom Lärmpegel her auch kein Problem dar. Wir konnten mit offenen Fenstern schlafen.

Geschätzt haben wir auch den WLAN Anschluss. Die Geschwindigkeit ist nicht berauschend, aber für den Urlaub reicht.

Der Pool ist gross genug. Diesen hatten wir immer für uns alleine. Es waren ja auch nur 3 Wohnungen im Wohnblock verkauft / vermietet.


Nun ja! :-( Extrem schmale und steile Einfahrt. Extrem viele Säulen und *sehr* enge Platzverhältnisse. Wir waren mit einem BMW 4er unterwegs - also nicht gerade ein sehr grosses Auto. Man kann das Auto aber auch draussen an der Strasse lassen (Sackgasse). Polizei patrulliert regelmässig.


Wer relaxen will und kein Massentourismus wüscht, ist in Cap Roig richtig (ja, die Wohnung ist nicht in L'Ampolla selber). Zum Strand sind es zu Fuss ca. 10 Min. (Kieselstrand) oder 15 Min. (Sandstrand). Der Sandstrand ist nicht sehr gross und entsprechend ist auch der Andrang und die Platzverhältnisse. Entweder man geht früh, oder um die Mittagszeit - wenn die meisten sich zum Mittagessen aufmachen. Der Kieselstrand links von der Wohnung aus bietet fürs Auge einiges, da im Wasser einige Felsen aus dem Wasser ragen (Wasserschuhe wärmstens empfohlen).

Kleiner Tipp: Mit dem Auto nach L'Ampolla fahren (ca. 5 Min.) und beim Statdhaus (Ajuntamient) parken (gratis). Dann zu Fuss (ca. 5 Min) zum grossen Sandstrand.

Alternativ mit dem Auto Richtung Camping L'Ampolla fahren, dort vorbei und beim Kreisel in die ungeteerte Strasse Richtung Naturschutzgebiet fahren. Auto Abstellen und eine Stelle am sehr langen, nicht sehr stark besuchten Sandstrand suchen. Am Ende des Strandes an der Flussmündung findet man sehr viele und grosse Muscheln u. Schnecken.


Wocheneinkauf empfiehlt sich hier in einem der vielen Läden wie z. B. SPAR etc. Viele Restaurantes: Empfehlenswert ist "La Barracca" oder "Casa David" (am Hafen). Sonst ist die Stadt eher ein ruhiger Ort ohne viel Tumult.

'Cap Roig' is situated about 1 km north of the little fishing village of L’Ampolla, which is north of the famous Ebro Delta, on the Costa Dorada. L'Ampolla itself is still unspoilt and is full of family owned restaurants and small shops. The harbour is modern. Its “Nautical Club” has a sail boat school where qualified instructors teach sailing, windsurfing water-skiing and many other water sports. Fishing lovers can fish to their heart’s content in the sea, or on the famous River Ebro nearby. The Urbanisation of “Cap Roig”, where the apartment is located, has its very own golden beach, complete with lifeguards and picturesque bar built into the rocks! Even closer and for those who like to explore and prefer to be sand-free, is the large and picturesque Santa Lucia pebble beach, with a funky music beach side bar and another with football TV!

There are many beaches within easy reach of Cap Roig and L’Ampolla also boasts two other beaches of its own. L’Ampolla is the ideal place from which to explore the inland delights of the ‘Ebro Valley’ and the mountainous region of the ‘Terra Alta’.

At the other end of the village is an excellent pitch and putt with a practice driving range and putting green in substantial grounds with a clubhouse. There is a pretty and very safe sandy town beach in the village where the water is exceptionally calm. A stunning wild beach is located on the outskirts of the village with cafe, restaurant and public amenities. A taxi service is available. L'Ampolla has a railway station with a very regular service to Barcelona and Tortosa, a mountain town 20 minutes drive with good shopping and a stunning Parador high above the town.

There is a four star hotel and spa 5 minutes walk from the apartment where there are recreational activities such as tennis, table tennis and outside gym available at a small cost. The hotel bar plus buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner are also available to non-residents. There is a very good restaurant on the sea cliff side 5 mins walk with a beautiful view of the coastline and stunning sunsets.
