We have enjoyed meeting so many guests over the past 10 years! Thank you to all our past guests for taking such good care of this lovely cottage. We love this cottage so much that we have sold our house and are moving into it as our own home in October 2016. We would love to have you consider our Blue Spruce Cottage on the same shore of Pushaw Lake. HomeAway.com, property id 163782 - 3-Season Cottage at Water's Edge. It is open from May until November.
Tom & I met at the age of 12, the 1st day of 7th grade and became best friends and soul mates. We dated from 7th -11th grade and went our separate ways after high school graduation. We re-met 33 years later through classmate and the rest is history! We married in 2003 and love living at the lake when we aren't off sailing along the beautiful coast of Maine in our 40 foot sailboat.
Laurie and Tom Edes purchased this cottage in 2006
We purchased our home on Pushaw Lake in 2005 as a weekend retreat. We were living in southern Maine and found that every time we came to the lake we didn't want to leave. We decided to sell our home in Westbrook and move to the lake full-time in early 2006. When the property next door became available we purchased it and turned it into our King Pine Cottage so others could come and enjoy the peace and beauty of the lake. We have enjoyed meeting guests from all over the USA, Canada, England, Switzerland, and Germany.
Nearly every window in the King Pine Cottage provides a view of the water. The cottage sits within 15 feet of the water's edge and the sound of the waves gently lapping the shore is so peaceful. The loons arrive as soon as the ice is out and the males call for their mates as evening sets in. It is an awesome setting!
As written in our guest book at the cottage: "thank you for renting us your piece of paradise for our honeymoon. We absolutely love it here! The view is breathtaking any time of day. Thank you very much for being the only place we found where we could leave our "boys: while we were out on our adventures. It is so reassuring to be able to bring our canine family with us. We look forward to coming back."
I talked to Laurie once in the ten day we were at this magnificent cottage and I was impressed by her friendliness. Getting up and watching the sunrise on the lake was a wonderful bonus. The cottage was truly supplied with everything we need and very comfortable. The location was perfect for our daily journeys to Maine's great sights and sites. Our thanks to Tom and Laurie sharing there bit of heaven with us.
Tom and Laurie were excellent to work with on my first time using Homeaway. This cabin was more than advertised and of course a wonderful view. The local wildlife (chipmunk) was fun to watch but I don't think he liked his picture taken. Looking forward to renting from them again on my next trip home to Glenburn.

Great hosts, great spot, great cottage. Perfect for our vacation. Loved it.
Had everything needed for our stay, owners easy to work with. Had a great time canoeing and swimming in the lake. About 1.5 hours to Acadia which we visited twice during our 4 night stay.
