This light and open air-conditioned house in gated community with small private garden, and shaded terraces looking onto a large communal pool and landscaped gardens is the ideal place to spend a family holiday. WALKING DISTANCE TO TOWN AND BEACH.It has just been completely refurnished with tasteful rustic teak furniture. There is one double room with en suite bathroom and private terrace, another double room with an extra single bed and a room with bunk beds, also with private terrace. In addition there is another double room attic conversion. It is perfectly located just 6 minutes walk from the famous Paseo Maritimo and all its beaches and 5 minutes walk into Sitges town centre. There is a plasma TV with a wide range of UK channels as well as broadband and Free Wifi.

The house: This well equipped holiday home consists of three floors. The ground floor has a split level living and dining room with fireplace and air-conditioning with large double doors that open onto a private patio garden. The kitchen is well equipped and there is also a ground floor WC. There is a shaded terrace with comfortable seating that looks out onto the gardens and pool area. Perfect for watching your kids playing safely in the pool! The swimming pool surrounded by a pretty grassy area and palm trees is open year round and has a small pool for kids as well as a diving board.

On the first floor there is one air-conditioned double bedroom with large terrace and en suite bathroom and a further double room with a spare single bed. The third bedroom has a large terrace overlooking the pool and bunk beds. There is also another complete bathroom on this floor. On the top floor there is another double room. In the basement there is ample private parking for two cars or bicycles.

I hadn't been there for some time and I had feed back that some of the mattresses were worn so they were replaced by my agents. My agents are neighbours in the community and only look after my house so if anything goes wrong they are very close and will fix it immediately, including letting you in if you should lose your keys for example.

Sitges : For those who don’t know it Sitges is a Spanish resort with a difference and a far cry from the noisy typical resorts of the Costas. It has been fashionable since the 1890´s, when it became an avant-garde art world hang-out attracting writers, painters, intellectuals and artists as a home and inspiration for their work. It has also been one of Spain’s most anti-conventional, anything-goes resorts since the 1960s. Nowadays Sitges appeals to everyone from jet setters to young travellers, honeymooners to week-ending families, Barcelona night owls to an international gay crowd. It benefits from a micro-climate with an average of 300 days of sunshine a year. There are 17 beautiful sandy beaches, there’s a lively nightlife if you like to party and there are lots of groovy boutiques if you need to spruce up your wardrobe as well as an impressive range of authentic restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Sitges is also renowned for its many Fiestas and awesome firework displays, weekly in season.

Barcelona : With Sitges just a short commute away from Barcelona, and an excellent transport system (trains that leave every 10 minutes almost around the clock) it is possible to stay in the relaxing holiday atmosphere of Sitges and at the same time enjoy all that this popular cultural city has to offer by day or night.

What a lovely place! There was a really nice feel about it and the pool was great for the kids. We were able to walk to the beach and into town, and also to the train station for a day trip to Barcelona.

Good location, well equipped, perfect for a break.

Apartment was clean and well-equipped with good Wifi. On-site pool was great and set in a quiet courtyard which we used a lot and the apartment had a private garden area which was nice to sit in. We enjoyed Sitges's choice of beaches which were a short convenient walk away and the good variety of restaurants to choose from.

We took the train into Barcelona one day which was surprisingly easy.

All in all a well appointed apartment in a nice seaside town conveniently placed for a visit to Barcelona. I'd happily recommend a stay here.

Beautiful communal gardens, shabby apartment

On arriving it seemed that we were the first people to stay here in a long time as I walked straight into a cobweb.The rear patio was overgrown and covered in leaves and dirt and the bar b q which we were told on arrival that we were no longer allowed to use was still dirty from the last time it was used.The bed clothes are worn and old as are the towels and the baths needed cleaning before we could use them. On changing the bedclothes it was horrible to see such old and stained mattresses. We were told that all the doors had to be kept padlocked with chains whenever we went out. The shutters were filthy and the chains too big so we ended up not even bothering to open the rear doors or grills as it was a dirty and a longwinded job. The pool and surrounding communal gardens are beautifully kept and the residents very friendly but I would not stay at this property again as it is in need of updating (the sinks do not drain well and smell).overall a dissapointing experience

Owner's Response: I don't recognise my house from this review. If you read the other reviews you will see it is not typical. My daughter and grandchildren stayed there at the end of May and loved it. We do not require guests to padlock the property with chains before they go out. Some although not all of the mattresses were replaced earlier this year. The bedclothes and particularly the sheets are also replaced at intervals, as are the towels. As to the cleanliness of the property when these guests arrived I cannot comment. My agents are neighbours and if there are any problems or complaints they can get in touch with them at any time, night or day. This is better than leaving the problem and then complaining. This guest also had my phone number and I had called her before she went and she could easily have sent me a text about any issues. I have asked my agents for an explanation because if I believe this description the cleaners did a poor job. I have asked that my agents inspect their work and get ,.new cleaners if necessary. I would add that this is my holiday home which I let out to guests in the summer months.

We all really enjoyed our holiday , brilliant location ticked all the boxes.

The villa suited us nicely, the gated complex meant the children were safe and we could watch them in the pool from the front patio which was only a few yards away.The pool was in an attractive surrounding ,lovely temperature and there were plenty of children to play with without it being overcrowded.The villa is well positioned only 5 to 10 mins from the promenade and 15mins from a large supermarket and the town. We all enjoyed the Festa Major and overall had a lovely time.

The facilities in the villa were good and comfortable but we felt it would benefit with a little TLC .Overall it is a lovely oasis close to a vibrant resort with beautiful beaches.

Great location and lovely villa

The villa is conveniently located for the beach and the town. It was clean and well kept, the pictures are an accurate representation. There is some noise in the master bedroom, it didn't bother us but I'd bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper. The pool is great and we were often the only ones using it. Peter quickly responded to any queries we had and we had no issues with the villa. The surrounding area and town are lovely with a variety of bars and restaurants to suit anyone.

Great location for a family holiday

Good location, close to the beach and 15 min walk to downtown. Nice pool area, perfect with children. On the negative side the standard inside the house was not optimal and there was relatively loud noice from road in the master bedroom.

The house is conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from the beach and from the lively and cosmopolitan town centre of Sitges and 10 minutes walk from the railway station. There is also an 18 hole golf course just 10 minutes walk away.
