Overview

Photos and Description of this 1 bedroom holiday apartment in Richmond-upon-Thames

Spacious apartment seconds from Richmond station

This is not your average one-bedroom flat. With high-ceilings, a large eat-in kitchen, and a generous reception room, this pad on Church Road is ideal for those who like a bit of elbow space, but don’t want to compromise on location.

You’ll find everything you need in the apartment, whether you’re staying on business, visiting friends, or exploring London and the surrounding areas. There’s complimentary high-speed WiFi throughout the property, digital Freeview televisions in the living room and bedroom, and the kitchen is fully equipped to satisfy the keenest of home cooks—it also boasts a coffee machine, wine fridge, and iPod dock. For those of you who don’t travel light, there’s plenty of hanging and storage space for your clothes in the bedroom. The recently fitted washroom is bright and stylish, with a walk-in shower that makes starting the day a real pleasure. In addition to the eat-in kitchen—which has a good-sized dining table—there’s a spacious and relaxing living room. The apartment is elegantly finished with wooden floors throughout and has central heating for the colder months.

Richmond town centre, with its shops, restaurants, and bars, is just 5 minutes’ walk away. And just beyond that is Richmond Riverside, with further options for eating and drinking—or just sitting and watching the view.

The apartment is only a 1-minute walk to Richmond station, which benefits from being on District Line, Overground, and South-West trains routes. The fast train into Waterloo takes approximately 16 minutes, delivering you to the South Bank and its wealth of exhibitions, eateries, and frequent colourful festivals. This is your gateway into the centre of London and all its world-famous attractions.

Closer to home, don’t forget glorious Richmond Park and beautiful Kew Gardens, 15 and 20 minutes’ walk away respectively. Twickenham Stadium is a stone's throw away too – 20 minutes on foot or just under 5 minutes if you want to take the train.

Church Road is a popular and busy road in the heart of Richmond, and this stylish apartment provides you with an ideal base from which to explore the many sights that the local area—and, of course, London—has to offer. All this, and only a 25-minute taxi ride from Heathrow Airport.

Spacious apartment, close to Richmond shops and restaurants. A very short walk to Richmond Station!

  • 4 of 5

Well appointed apartment, lovely wood floors, and lots of room to relax in. Great storage spaces that so many apartments don't have. Nearby Richmond Park is wonderful for a day of peace or, in our case, a canoe trip on the Thames.

The weather was very hot and we would have loved some AC.

All in all, we enjoyed our stay.

Lovely, clean, super-convenient and charming!

  • 5 of 5

I had a fantastic stay in this spacious, well-furnished and fully-equipped home-away-from-home. It had absolutely everything you needed and it was scrupulously clean. James and his mother-in-law were fantastic to deal with and I would stay here again and again. Highly recommended.

Just what you want

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was clean and tidy. It was very well furnished and appointed. It had everything we needed for our month long stay. We felt at home there within only a day. The location was perfect for us. A few minutes walk to the tube/train station, and a wide range of excellent restaurants, grocery shopping, and all the shops you might want within 10 minutes walk. The Thames was barely 10 minutes away and Kew Gardens was only 15 minutes at our comfortable strolling pace. We will stay there again.

Beautiful spacious Richmond flat

  • 4 of 5

The flat is really gorgeous, very well situated for Richmond shops and transport. We had a lot of running around to do and had a hire car, so parking was an issue (despite the very kind efforts of James, who provided free visitor permits) so unless you have to get to out-of-the-way places, use the ample nearby public transport and don't get a car. Be aware it's also a bit noisy, as its on a busy road and directly under a flight path, but that's Richmond for you! If traffic noise doesn't bother you and you plan on using public transport, you won't find a better option for the price in Richmond than this flat. Plus the owners are very accommodating and went out of the way to provide little extras (sorry James, I ate all your chocolate!). I highly recommend this lovely comfortable flat, and we will definitely book this again and recommend it to our friends.

The best possible welcome, care and location

  • 5 of 5

If you want a self-catering apartment with every imaginable mod con, this is definitely your best place to stay in London. The listing details are totally accurate. Richmond Train Station is just round the corner, for trains to Waterloo every 10 min or so (that's 20-minute journey) as well as the Underground and Overground to practically anywhere. There are also plenty of bus lines. And Richmond itself is one of the most beautiful neighbourhoods in London. Sweet Thames running softly by, Curzon arthouse and Odeon mainstream cinemas, not far from Ham House and Hampton Court, excellent shopping and cinemas in Kingston (20m by train) etc etc.

The service provided is first-class and you'll never want for anything. Thank you so much, James & Dani, Neda & Johan!

Excellent apartment, location and great owners !

  • 5 of 5

From the first interaction we found James and Dani really friendly helpful, and efficient. They were on hand to greet and show us around the apartment on arrival.

The location is fantastic for either enjoying the fine borough of Richmond with good pubs, restaurants, little lanes and river walks, or heading to events in central London or across the river in Twickenham.

The apartment itself was spotless and had everything we could wish for, it is bright, airy and cozy - we felt immediately at home.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Thank you James and Dani.

We will be back.
