Overview

About the property

Spacious apartment seconds from Richmond station

This is not your average one-bedroom flat. With high-ceilings, a large eat-in kitchen, and a generous reception room, this pad on Church Road is ideal for those who like a bit of elbow space, but don’t want to compromise on location.

You’ll find everything you need in the apartment, whether you’re staying on business, visiting friends, or exploring London and the surrounding areas. There’s complimentary high-speed WiFi throughout the property, digital Freeview televisions in the living room and bedroom, and the kitchen is fully equipped to satisfy the keenest of home cooks—it also boasts a coffee machine, wine fridge, and iPod dock. For those of you who don’t travel light, there’s plenty of hanging and storage space for your clothes in the bedroom. The recently fitted washroom is bright and stylish, with a walk-in shower that makes starting the day a real pleasure. In addition to the eat-in kitchen—which has a good-sized dining table—there’s a spacious and relaxing living room. The apartment is elegantly finished with wooden floors throughout and has central heating for the colder months.

Richmond town centre, with its shops, restaurants, and bars, is just 5 minutes’ walk away. And just beyond that is Richmond Riverside, with further options for eating and drinking—or just sitting and watching the view.

The apartment is only a 1-minute walk to Richmond station, which benefits from being on District Line, Overground, and South-West trains routes. The fast train into Waterloo takes approximately 16 minutes, delivering you to the South Bank and its wealth of exhibitions, eateries, and frequent colourful festivals. This is your gateway into the centre of London and all its world-famous attractions.

Closer to home, don’t forget glorious Richmond Park and beautiful Kew Gardens, 15 and 20 minutes’ walk away respectively. Twickenham Stadium is a stone's throw away too – 20 minutes on foot or just under 5 minutes if you want to take the train.

Church Road is a popular and busy road in the heart of Richmond, and this stylish apartment provides you with an ideal base from which to explore the many sights that the local area—and, of course, London—has to offer. All this, and only a 25-minute taxi ride from Heathrow Airport.

Beautiful flat, easy access to train/underground

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time staying here! The flat is spacious an beautiful and has great places to eat and a little market within walking distance. The best part is it is very close to the train/underground station which made getting around very easy. What a precious neighborhood with big trees, flowers, and gardens. Loved it!

Heart of Richmond!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for 5 weeks. It's a wonderful flat, beautifully renovated with all modern conveniences, and extremely well equipped. Very "homey" and perfect for 1 or 2 people with great access to central Richmond and the train station, ensuring a quick ride time into London.

James' mother in law, Neda met me and was wonderful, explaining everything and even leaving a "Happy Birthday" gift! She stayed in touch throughout my stay making sure I was comfortable.

Be aware that being in the heart of Richmond there will be a little street noise and occasional flights passing overhead, but it's not an issue at all.

Overall I loved my time here and would HIGHLY recommend! Thank you James and Neda... I'll be back!

A perfect cozy retreat in West London

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a week at the end of October.

Pre-arrival arrangements with James were impeccable. We were met at the property by Neda, Dani's mother. Neda is a charming lady who made us most welcome.

The apartment is beautifully appointed and perfect for a couple.

The transport links from this Richmond apartment are excellent, the house being just 5 minutes walk from Richmond station with Overground links as well as Underground links. We had a day in Greenwich which of course is as far east of central London as Richmond is east and the journey took just 45 minutes.

We walked to Hampton Court in under an hour and a half and caught a bus back direct to Richmond High St.

Richmond is a 'Proper Town' in its own right with cozy pubs numerous good restaurants a beautiful river frontage good shops 2 theatres etc.

James was very attentive during our stay with a couple of queries that we had.

We shall definitely return

PERFECT!

  • 5 of 5

I had a feeling when I booked this flat that it was going to be really nice - and it was! I was greeted and shown around this beautiful one bed flat which had everything you need for a stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the bed very comfortable, a great shower, and a living room that was set up for your comfort and enjoyment. The location is brilliant. Out the door turn left and you are a 5 min walk to train/tube into town. Continue on to your left and Richmond town awaits you - great shops, pub and restaurants, theatre and river walks. Go to your right, up the hill to Richmond Hill and the amazing Richmond Park. What else can I say? I will definitely stay here again and have no hesitation in recommending this flat. Come and enjoy!

You need look no further - Book this!

  • 5 of 5

James and Dani have a great place. We loved our week there and we know this will be our home in London for all future trips ( we go annually if we can).

They are super helpful with questions and they have thought of almost absolutely anything and everything you could want in a flat in London. It is impeccably clean - which is tough to do in a city.

The property is amazingly spacious for a London flat, especially given the post code it is in. The furniture is comfortable and the linens and towels are luxurious. The connections into the city are a breeze - just don't forget the last train from Embankment leaves at 0030!

I have nothing but glowing compliments about this vacation rental.

Thanks for a lovely place to stay.

Very convenient, clean and spacious

  • 4 of 5

We stayed at James and Dani's apartment for two weeks in late July/early August. This apartment is really well located. Very close to the train station, grocery stores and the main shopping streets of Richmond. We were traveling with our 2.5 year old, and the place was spacious for all three of us. The kitchen is top notch. Very modern and clean - plus a washer/dryer! The bedroom was very large with tons of closet space. The apartment is on a main street, and we kept the windows cracked for fresh air most days, so we were aware of the street noise, but it was never a major issue. We brought a white noise machine for our daughter, which we used at night and during her naps to drown out the noise of cars. We had a very comfortable stay and would happily recommend the apartment to friends and family as well as stay there again ourselves.
