About June Morton

My parents moved to this property in 1982 and spent many happy years here. My husband and I purchased it from the family estate in 2005. We planned to retire here but have since bought a larger property in South Beach and have spent the last nine years renting the property for long term lets.

We have now decided to use the property for short term holiday lettings.

June Morton purchased this house in 2005

Why June Morton chose Ayrshire & Arran

As a child our family rented a house in Troon for the summer holidays.

In 1982 my parents moved to Troon from the Irvine Valley.

The minute I saw this property when my parents bought it I fell in love with it. It has stunning views and is extremely bright and spacious. It is a fabulous house for those who love the sea and bright sunny aspects! It is a children's paradise. A secluded, sheltered private garden with access to the promenade, cycle path and the beach. They can play safely without the fear of traffic. Extremely relaxing for the parents!

What makes this house unique

Perfect location for all golf courses, restaurants, the town and the beach. Every amenity is within walking distance.

Would highly recommend giving this property a try!

Notes:
This is a beautiful ornate Victorian property in excellent decorative order and offers wonderful accommodation for family and friends. It is also any golfer's paradise located adjacent to the famous Royal Troon golf course and within walking distance of the three Troon Municipal courses. I am proud to say I hosted senior executives from NBC/Golf Channel during the 145th Open Golf Championship at Royal Troon, 2016. They were delighted with their accommodation and with its proximity to the course!

What a fabulous holiday home

  • 5 of 5

The location was perfect. We didn't have a car but didn't need one as local shops were in walking distance and we could easily get the train to other towns.

The house itself was beautiful and the stunning sea views were amazing. Troon beach is lovely and we loved looking over Arran.

June made our arrival really special by getting in the essentials and some treats and she was very accommodating throughout.

I loved the use of bikes and enjoyed a cycle from Troon to Prestwick enjoying the beautiful views.

We were a family of 10 and there was plenty of room. I would highly recommend!

Thanks June x

Amazing home and wonderful hosts!

  • 5 of 5

It's hard to know where to begin...

We stayed at this home in Troon over the Christmas and New Year's holidays. We were a group of 6 adults (from the USA and South Africa) and 3 little ones (2 years, 15 months, and 7 months). The house was PERFECT! We all had our own space and the shared spaces were large and comfortable for when we gathered for meals and conversation.

Our host, June, was wonderful and delightful. They met us soon after we arrived and provided all the details we needed to get us comfortable. In addition, there were lovely welcome treats for all and a special treat for the little ones. June was in close communication throughout our stay, and we always felt welcome to contact her.

The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to complete our purchased Christmas dinner. The grocery was a convenient drive or walk and we all enjoyed being close to the waterfront and the shopping areas.

I can't think of anything we would ask to be changed....It was a wonderful home and a wonderful gathering of family.

Thank you, June, for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home.

Fabulous house to stay in

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful house. Eight of us, all ladies, returned to Westview for our second visit this year. The house is large, bright very well equipped and very welcoming. Rooms are a generous size and beds very comfortable. Lovely little touches provided by June too. Fresh flowers in all rooms, milk in the fridge and nibbles. The day of our arrival was very cold and when we entered the sitting room we were met by a glowing fire. Just lovely. The house has a lovely garden to sit out and is so central for all amenities. A few minutes walk to the beach and a straight walk into town (about 15 minutes) where there a lovely little coffee shops. We all just loved our weekend and have booked again for next year. Can't wait! Thank you June. x.

Just....wow!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time visiting family on the west coast of Scotland, made all the more special by staying in this incredible house. We were a party of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids) and the house was probably big enough for twice as many. The views over the sea are incredible, opening the curtains each morning was an event to look forward to in itself. I've been to the area many times before but have never enjoyed it as much as we did staying at Westview. Thank you for your help June, we will be back :-)

Owner's Response: It was very much my pleasure and I so enjoyed meeting both of you and your gorgeous young sons! What charming young lads they are! You will have to keep your promise and get them into the golfing mode. They will have to practice so they can beat their Grandpa! Will look forward to your return visit. Many thanks for your business. It is always very much appreciated. June
