About June Morton

My parents moved to this property in 1982 and spent many happy years here. My husband and I purchased it from the family estate in 2005. We planned to retire here but have since bought a larger property in South Beach and have spent the last nine years renting the property for long term lets.

We have now decided to use the property for short term holiday lettings.

June Morton purchased this house in 2005

Why June Morton chose Ayrshire & Arran

As a child our family rented a house in Troon for the summer holidays.

In 1982 my parents moved to Troon from the Irvine Valley.

The minute I saw this property when my parents bought it I fell in love with it. It has stunning views and is extremely bright and spacious. It is a fabulous house for those who love the sea and bright sunny aspects! It is a children's paradise. A secluded, sheltered private garden with access to the promenade, cycle path and the beach. They can play safely without the fear of traffic. Extremely relaxing for the parents!

What makes this house unique

Perfect location for all golf courses, restaurants, the town and the beach. Every amenity is within walking distance.

Would highly recommend giving this property a try!

Fabulous house to stay in

  • 5 of 5

What a wonderful house. Eight of us, all ladies, returned to Westview for our second visit this year. The house is large, bright very well equipped and very welcoming. Rooms are a generous size and beds very comfortable. Lovely little touches provided by June too. Fresh flowers in all rooms, milk in the fridge and nibbles. The day of our arrival was very cold and when we entered the sitting room we were met by a glowing fire. Just lovely. The house has a lovely garden to sit out and is so central for all amenities. A few minutes walk to the beach and a straight walk into town (about 15 minutes) where there a lovely little coffee shops. We all just loved our weekend and have booked again for next year. Can't wait! Thank you June. x.

Just....wow!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time visiting family on the west coast of Scotland, made all the more special by staying in this incredible house. We were a party of 6 (2 adults and 4 kids) and the house was probably big enough for twice as many. The views over the sea are incredible, opening the curtains each morning was an event to look forward to in itself. I've been to the area many times before but have never enjoyed it as much as we did staying at Westview. Thank you for your help June, we will be back :-)

Owner's Response: It was very much my pleasure and I so enjoyed meeting both of you and your gorgeous young sons! What charming young lads they are! You will have to keep your promise and get them into the golfing mode. They will have to practice so they can beat their Grandpa! Will look forward to your return visit. Many thanks for your business. It is always very much appreciated. June

A lovely property with gorgeous views

  • 5 of 5

The house is a beautiful, high ceiling, spacious house.

We rented it for my family to get together for one of my sons wedding, so with family flying back from all over the world and an open house for friends and family to meet each other before the big day. June had left little extras and fresh flowers to make us welcome and was in contact if there was a query. I would recommend this property to anyone, it was fabulous.

Owner's Response: I am delighted all went well for you and also that you had a beautiful sunny day for your wedding at Lochgreen. You also had the added bonus of the Red Arrows and their amazing show outside your living room window the day before! I doubt if you knew that would have been happening almost two years ago when you reserved Westview! Or perhaps you did! Anyway I feel honoured that you chose to stay in my property for the special occasion and hopefully the newly weds will return again perhaps for an anniversary or maybe even a Christening?! I think a Christening is the only celebration we haven't hosted at Westview! No pressure there! Best Wishes June

The situation and views are incredible. June is a lovely person, and helped us so much.

Extraordinary!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely lovely villa in Troon that oozes warmth and charm, right on the sea and with a wonderful view of the golf course. Our family booked a last minute stay with June, who cheerfully picked us up from the train station and made sure we had "bubbles" in the fridge, whiskey truffles and fresh cut flowers. The home is spacious and immaculate with every convenience. The kitchen is brand new; the living room features a bay window overlooking the gorgeous garden and the sea. The villa is within walking distance of the sweet village of Troon, which offers a variety of restaurants and shops, if one doesn't wish to spend all their time walking the beach or visiting nearby castles and islands. June went out of her way to make our stay a delight. I cannot wait to return to this special place in Troon.

Notes:
This is a beautiful ornate Victorian property in excellent decorative order and offers wonderful accommodation for family and friends. It is also any golfer's paradise located adjacent to the famous Royal Troon golf course and within walking distance of the three Troon Municipal courses. I am proud to say I hosted senior executives from NBC/Golf Channel during the 145th Open Golf Championship at Royal Troon, 2016. They were delighted with their accommodation and with its proximity to the course!
