This property is unique in that it is the first property situated on the beach side of South Beach next to The Royal Troon clubhouse. A real bonus for the golf enthusiast!

To the rear of the entrance hall you gain access to the delightful secure large south west facing walled garden with summer house and hut. The garden gate leads directly onto the promenade, cycle path and beach.

Accommodation on the main level of the property comprises a spacious lounge with panoramic views overlooking the beach front, Isle of Arran, Ailsa Craig and Royal Troon Golf Course.

There is a superb modern dining kitchen with amazing views, spacious bathroom with underfloor heating and two bedrooms.(one with en suite bathroom)

The upper level of this delightful property provides a further 2 bedrooms (one with bay view over the beach and the other with views to the hillsides around). There is a further bathroom on this floor, also with underfloor heating, and the other bedroom has it's own private ensuite.

It is also within a few minutes walking to the local municipal courses, the tennis courts and the bowling green.

The lovely town of Troon is also a short 5 minute walk with its very interesting local shops and excellent restaurants and coffee shops.

The train station is a short 3 minute drive and there are regular trains to Glasgow which takes 35 minutes approx.

Prestwick Airport is approximately 7 minutes by taxi.

Isle of Arran, Culzean Castle, Dundonald Castle, Burns Country, The Great Cumbrae (Millport) and Dean Castle County Parks are just a few of the many interesting places to visit for a lovely family day out.

The property offers gas central heating throughout, full double glazing, and 4 double bedrooms - (3 with double beds. 1 with twin beds and a child's cot) .

This delightful home is an extremely spacious, bright property with sunshine from dawn to dusk! You cannot fail to be impressed by the truly amazing sunsets over the hills of Arran.

About June Morton

My parents moved to this property in 1982 and spent many happy years here. My husband and I purchased it from the family estate in 2005. We planned to retire here but have since bought a larger property in South Beach and have spent the last nine years renting the property for long term lets.

We have now decided to use the property for short term holiday lettings.

Why June Morton chose Ayrshire & Arran

As a child our family rented a house in Troon for the summer holidays.

In 1982 my parents moved to Troon from the Irvine Valley.

The minute I saw this property when my parents bought it I fell in love with it. It has stunning views and is extremely bright and spacious.It is a fabulous house for those who love the sea and bright sunny aspects! It is a children's paradise. A secluded, sheltered private garden with access to the promenade, cycle path and the beach. They can play safely without the fear of traffic. Extremely relaxing for the parents!

What makes this house unique

Perfect location for all golf courses, restaurants, the town and the beach. Every amenity is within walking distance.

Would highly recommend giving this property a try!

Notes:
This is a beautiful ornate Victorian property in excellent decorative order and offers wonderful accommodation for family and friends. It is also any golfer's paradise located adjacent to the famous Royal Troon golf course and within walking distance of the three Troon Municipal courses. I am proud to say I hosted senior executives from NBC/Golf Channel during the 145th Open Golf Championship at Royal Troon, 2016. They were delighted with their accommodation and with its proximity to the course!

Well presented, welcoming home in a fantastic location

June is an extremely welcoming host, we enjoyed the welcome treats and the champagne certainly didn't last long.

The house is very well presented, and in a great location with lovely sea views from some of the rooms. The town has some excellent restaurants, pricey but worth it is Scotts.

The house is ideally located for some sporting activities, kite surfing and biking. The beach is very long and reasonably shallow. The waves come in clean, with lots of flats in between and you can stand up for quite a way out. Considering we were there at the start of Oct, the winds felt warm for Scotland thanks to the Gulf Stream. The winds were cross on for our whole week, and there are some locals (very friendly) that will join you when the winds are good.

There is plenty of space for storing your equipment, and it's easy to rinse down your equipment in the garden. All you need to do is walk out the back door and across the small dune onto the beach.

For biking, 1.5 hrs away is an excellent national park, Galloway. Lots of different trails for all, but given my dad was 81, most of us just did 2 trips of the green trail which is very flat.

A highly enjoyable stay.

What a place!!

What a place!!

With a magic view of the lake and the mountains that appear in the distance and to the left you will see a bit of golf history.

Large spacious rooms, all facilities you can imagine. Can highly recommend this. In any case, I know where I live next time I'm in those areas.

Just what we needed

Our stay here was better than great - it was absolutely spectacular. Westview was a great venue, & June was a great hostess - upon our arrival we found milk, eggs, morning rolls (my favorite) and chocolates awaiting. June was available quickly for any questions or needs we had during our stay, and I loved chatting with her the couple of times we ran into each other.

I really, really highly recommend Westview to anyone looking to stay in Troon or the surrounding area . We were a family of 10 adults, and 2 small children, and it fitted our needs perfectly. We felt like we were in our own very comfortable home by the sea. Troon was the perfect place for us to stay, and Westview was the perfect house.

Many, many thanks to June for all her kindness to our family, her care and consideration to us on our stay, and her many thoughtful "extras" to make our stay more comfortable.

As I indicated you were the very first family since 1975 to occupy Westview in its entirety and I was quite delighted to see how much fun you had. All three generations being hosted in one property! As you are aware it is our intention in the next few months to revert the property back into one house and we will continue to let it as two separately or as one for the next three years when we finally plan to move there ourselves! I will look forward to your next visit hopefully before that! Delighted you all got back home safely and do keep in touch. It will be lovely to hear how the grandchildren are doing!

Westview: A Dream Vacation

I thoroughly enjoyed each of the 33 days I was in residence at Westview. The property is beautiful, well appointed, perfect location on the beach with a fabulous view. The owner, June Morton, was very attentive and concerned herself regarding my comfort and needs on a daily basis. June made me feel like I was home. I could not have been more fortunate. I would enthusiastically recommend this property to others.

What a fabulous holiday home

The location was perfect. We didn't have a car but didn't need one as local shops were in walking distance and we could easily get the train to other towns.

The house itself was beautiful and the stunning sea views were amazing. Troon beach is lovely and we loved looking over Arran.

June made our arrival really special by getting in the essentials and some treats and she was very accommodating throughout.

I loved the use of bikes and enjoyed a cycle from Troon to Prestwick enjoying the beautiful views.

We were a family of 10 and there was plenty of room. I would highly recommend!

Stunning views, swan lake for the children to watch lots of wildlife and taste the delicious ice cream from the lovely tearoom.There are delightful gardens to wander around and the garden enthusiast can treat themselves to some plants which are made available for sale.

Easy access to the mystical Isle of Arran from Ardrossan Ferry which is 20 minutes away by car.

Take a 20 minute boat trip from Largs to the Great Cumbrae and cycle round the island. Great day out with the children.
