About James von der Lieth
I've lived, worked, and played in Charleston, SC for 9 years. Originally from the Boston area, I moved down here for college, and never left! I work for a Charleston based venture-backed software company as a product manager. The house was designed as a fun place to entertain my friends and family.
James von der Lieth purchased this House in 2018
Why James von der Lieth chose North Charleston
I bought this house in July 2018 because of the unique neighborhood. Its only a 10 minute drive to the NOMO brewery and tech district where my office is. For travelers, its only 15 minutes to historic downtown or 25 minutes to the beach. Park Circle has an authentic local vibe with lots of creative people. All of the businesses, restaurants, breweries, coffee shops, etc are locally owned.
What makes this House unique
A huge selling point is you can walk right across the street to the Mixson Market and Locals Sushi for craft coffee, beer, and healthy food at any time of the day. The house is very bright and well equipped with all modern appliances and an optional security system for safety. Its much less expensive and easier to park than staying downtown and still only a short Uber away from all the tourist activities. The house has hypoallergenic pillows and is professionally cleaned before every stay.

Loved the house! James responded to messages right away. The market across the street has delicious food and coffee. The house fit 9 adults perfectly. Would definitely stay at this house again!
Beautiful house, very clean
We used this house for a girls getaway. We loved our stay. The amount of beds and baths allowed for everyone to be comfortable, and the open layout was great. There were plenty of extra towels, blankets and kitchen tools. We loved the mixology market that we stayed next to and were in great proximity to downtown and the beach. We would definitely stay here again when we visit Charleston for another time!
The house was very nice and was decorated in a manner that most people would approve.e.ee
My 2 sons, a daughter in law, and a grandson were the residents last week. The house was comfortable and, after a few minor problems, their stay was pleasant. However, they did say there were no wash cloths, but plenty of towels, and a few commonly used kitchen utensils, like a whisk, a can opener, and a spatula were not there. There was a problem with the wi-fi and turning the TV on, but these were taken care of by Mr. von der Lieth.
The house is in the vibrant Park Circle neighborhood, which has sports fields, a playground, frisbee golf, basketball and tennis courts. Montague Ave, only a 4 minute drive away, is home to local craft breweries, coffee shops, wine bars, outdoor sports pubs, art murals and shopping.
Start your morning by walking one minute across the street for craft coffee and a healthy breakfast for the Mixon Market. Or end your day next door at the Mixson Grille for a great dinner and wine.
