Comfortable stay for a long weekend
This apartment was a good location for us for a weekend visit with our grandchildren. It is just as pictured, the furniture is comfortable. Even though it was a cold weekend, we enjoyed the table on the back deck and the privacy of the back yard. The outdoor halloween decorations were festive. The neighborhood is safe and we discovered grocery stores, shops and cafes within walking distance. Knowing about the one way streets and the parking in the back was helpful. A problem we had is that we arrived after dark and it was rainy. It was difficult to tell which house was the right one. Some type of signage in the parking area would have been helpful. Pay attention to what's provided in the kitchen. We assumed there would be a toaster, My husband lives on toasted english muffins in the morning, so a quick trip to Walmart solved that problem. All in all, it was a comfortable stay for our purposes.
Apartment is just as pictured and well accomodated. I read about the one way street but it didn’t seem to be an issue, just follow the directions Nick sends. Centrally locates, close to casino and Heinz field (within 5-10 min). Dunkin Donuts is super close which is amazing!
Darling and spacious 1 br condo!
This place looks as good as the pics if not bigger. The rooms were very large, it was clean, and I thought it was a great bargain compared to other hotels and properties I considered. Checking in and out was a breeze with a lockbox. I was nervous when I realized there were only 2 window unit A/Cs since it was crazy hot, but they were very effective (and I'm always too hot). Bed and sheets were super comfy, and it was nice to have a good-size TV w Netflix and comfortable surrounding furniture, including a futon (which I ended up sleeping on one night...very comfy).
The location was great in terms of being walkable to many restaurants/bars and a cheap uber to the downtown neighborhoods. Driving around this neighborhood is a little tricky due to lots of one-way roads and one-way turn restrictions. Be aware this driveway is off a one way-road, and you will always have to go down to the right of the house and come back to it from behind to access the driveway (there is a hairpin left turn there and some businesses). Also please note this is in a historic neighborhood and the interior has not been updated, but I think that's part of the point and I personally liked it.
Owner was easy to work with and friendly and helped me resolve a mistake I made checking out. If I come back to Pittsburgh, I will certainly stay here again, and I highly recommend it to anyone else!
I'm glad you enjoyed your time here and thank you so much for staying with us!
