Vane Garden Flat - an apartment that sleeps 2 guests in 1 bedroom

Set in the lower ground floor of a grand Georgian terrace in the city centre is a huge comfortable garden flat for two. You can hear the cheery bells of St. Mary's church ring out above and light floods in from tall sash windows. At street level, you can glimpse Bath Abbey, and be there or at many other historic sites in a short walk through some outstanding architecture.

There is a sunny courtyard at the entrance with a well organised kitchen under the vaults on one side and a living area on the other. The kitchen has lots of cooking equipment and a selection of books that will make your mouth water. There is an electric hob, an oven and microwave along with a fridge and separate freezer.

The living room and dining room is bright and spacious. There is a table to seat 4 and 2 comfy leather sofas. There is a TV and DVD with an extensive collection of movies and a selection of books.

The large Victorian style bedroom has an original decorative fireplace, large sash windows looking onto a peaceful little private courtyard and a romantic double-sized brass bed. There is plenty of storage.

There is a separate utility room at the rear of the flat with a washing machine, sink and lots of cupboard space. From here you enter your private courtyard which is a quiet haven in a busy city. There are four outdoor chairs and a small table.

Up a broad flight of steps is a newly renovated bathroom in 2014 with bath (with shower over), hand basin and WC.

The property comes with a parking permit allowing you to park 1 car on the street out front or on neighbouring streets. Alternatively the Bath Spa train or bus stations are a 15 minute walk away.

We had a short break of three nights in this lovely flat. It was a very spacious apartment. The living and bed rooms are large and beautifully appointed, light, bright and very comfortable. The kitchen is a good size and very well equipped with every with everything you could hope for provided for the keen cook! The little back garden was a real bonus and unusual for a city apartment.



Parking was never a problem with plenty of spaces available close to the property.



This apartment is particularly convenient for all Bath amenities - just a pleasant five minute walk to the Pulteney Bridge and an excellent variety of shops,restaurants and places of interest. A regular treat was morning coffee at the Holburne museum within sight of the front door! There are several excellent restaurants nearby. We have specially enjoyed Alexa's recommendations. A walk down nearby Walcott Street is always a must.



We have stayed many times in Bath with this company in different apartments and have never been disappointed. Every comfort and convenience has been thought of and the standards of cleanliness, furnishings and decor are exceptional. We would recommend this apartment to any couple looking to enjoy and explore this beautiful city.

A Fabulous Stay in Bath!!

We stayed at this apartment - 4 Vane Street - in Bath for 4 nights in September 2017. This is a huge beautiful apartment and very centrally located. The place is immaculately clean, and full of very thoughtful touches that are just what a traveller needs - a lovely 'welcome package' that included ground coffee, cereal, milk, cookies, chocolate - wow! The kitchen is very well supplied with cookware, dishes, glasses, cutlery and all manner of cooking implements. We could have cooked up a storm, but since we were on vacation, we only made breakfasts and lunches here - it was so nice to have the means to do so. The fridge and separate freezer were wonderful for keeping our food and beverages cold and fresh, the microwave was handy and the french press for our coffee was wonderful!

We also made good use of the clothes washer since we had been on the road for 9 days by the time we reached Bath. The clothes dried very quickly on the drying rack.

We loved the back garden area where we sat out a few times. The bedroom was very comfortable - firm queen sized bed, nice dark shutters on the windows and the fact that the bedroom is in the back and away from the traffic of the street meant that we could sleep peacefully and even sleep in a bit!

The location meant we could walk into the town area easily in about 10 minutes which we did every day at least once, sometimes twice. Very close to attractions like the Bath Abbey, the Roman Baths, and the shopping area.

We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone.

Convenient and well equipped

We found the apartment convenient to everything - shops, restaurants, buses, and the train station. Being near a park was also a plus. We would stay there again!

Convenient, pleasant, comfortable

We loved this apartment. Not only was it comfortable and attractive, but the location couldn't have been better. We were able to be close to our children's apartment and to all that Bath City Center has to offer. In some ways I hesitate to recommend it because we will want to book it again on our next visit to Bath!

It is a convenient place from which to explore Bath and you'll discover a myriad of shops, restaurants, museums and galleries, and some lovely city parks too. There are plenty of amenities nearby, the closest being a Tesco local up Bathwick Hill or a deli and late night newsagent and convenient store round the corner on Bathwick street. There is a Waitrose supermarket 5 minute walk away in the city centre. You can play tennis on the public courts around the corner in Sydney gardens or walk along the scenic canal towpath for lovely views of Bath.
