This modern and comfortable 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom mews house, with private parking, on a quiet side-street overlooked by trees and close to the city centre, is neat, practical and well organised. The property is arranged over two levels and all rooms are smart, contemporary and well-arranged.
Upon arrival, you can pull straight into the allocated private parking space directly in front of the house, arrange luggage into your chosen room, then relax and spend time planning a great tour of Bath, or your weeks schedule. Alternatively the train and bus stations are only a 10-15 minute walk away.
On the ground floor there is warm, woody and spacious master bedroom with a king sized bed (5 ft) and plenty of wardrobe and drawer space and an en-suite shower room with sink and w.c. Along the hallway is a good-sized second bathroom, smartly tiled with a bath (and shower over). There is also an excellent utility with a washer/dryer, a freezer, ironing facilities and more storage.
Upstairs is a large, bright and contemporary open-planned lounge/diner and kitchen. There is a leather sofa and armchair from which to enjoy a flat-screen LCD Plasma TV with CD, DVD and additional Sky channels. The dining table comfortably seats 4 and french doors open onto a mini balcony overlooking the church and leafy grounds of Bathwick St. Mary. There is another sunny bedroom with lots of built-in cupboards. The beds here can be pushed together to make a king-sized double, a twin (2/6` wide so most suited for children) or a single to suit your requirements. The light streams in from a large skylight and a blackout velux blind ensures a dark and restful night.
What a great week over Christmas in the most comfortable Sydney Mews once again. It is a pleasure to stay there and has all that anyone could need for a break away – it is most certainly a home from home! Taking that short walk along the beautiful Great Pultney Street into the many delights of Bath also lifts the spirit. Having been a number of times to this property, and enjoyed both it and Bath each visit, I am sure we will be back again soon. We stayed over Christmas, and enjoyed being within walking distance to the centre of Bath. The property was clean, comfortable and very warm and it's position meant that we could wander back and forth to the city centre easily for both shopping and sight seeing. We had arranged to arrive early, and as we pulled onto the drive we were met by Marcus who showed us around the property and gave us all the information we needed for our stay.
The property is away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre whilst being only a 5-10 minute level walk away, along Great Pulteney Street (a handsome Georgian street filmed in 'Vanity Fair'). The Holborne museum and Sydney Gardens are around the corner, as are Bathwick stores, a newsagents, and deli/coffee shop and pubs. In the city you will find plenty of great shops, museums and galleries, as well as historic Bath and The Thermae Spa - a wonderful place to relax and take the waters.
