Located just 7 miles from downtown Auburn and Auburn University in the sleepy historic town of Loachapoka, this house is ideal for families coming to tour the University, sporting events, graduation, or for a simple country getaway. The MilkBarn Guesthouse was originally built in 1940 as a cow milking barn. Fully renovated in 2017 as a guesthouse, it has a full kitchen with all new appliances, heart pine countertops, gorgeous bathroom with a clawfoot tub, sleeping loft, and cozy living space. Updated on the inside with an old Alabama feel. Fully fenced-in yard with locking gate. Plenty of parking. We love dogs... ask about our pet policy! Sleeps 6, open floor plan, private, peaceful. Owner lives on adjacent property with a shared drive. Very peaceful, yet convenient to charming Auburn and less than 5 minutes from University Staion RV Park.

Best VRBO ever!

We had a great stay at this unique and eclectic milk barn! You won't find any place like it and we feel fortunate that we found a perfect place to stay while visiting our Auburn girl! Great communication and care by the owner....arrived after dark to lights on and a warm welcome! Bodhi (our golden) loved the fenced in yard and little taste of country from his otherwise suburban life! Quiet, clean, stocked...could go on and on! Thank you for hosting us! Looking forward to next time!

The milk barn was one of our favorite stays! My husband and I attending a wedding on memorial weekend with our two dogs. The property was perfect for our weekend stay. The home was very clean and the host provided more than everything we needed. We will definitely be back!

absolutely the best

Every aspect of this experience was perfect. The owner was quick to respond to all communications and was understanding and flexible with our requests. The rental house itself was so well equipped that we didn’t need to bring half of what we normally take when we travel. The cleanliness, decor and all of the humorous little notes and extras made this possibly the best place we’ve ever ever stayed. I was hesitant about leaving such a great review as I almost wanted to keep this a secret so there will be a better chance it will be available when we want to book it again.
