Valia Kokkinou purchased this villa in 2014
Great holiday complex in an ideal place, which offers a great sandy beach locations, restaurants by the sea, shops and great sea views with outmost privacy!
Dream Villas offer great sea views. Each villa has a private pool and BBQ facilities.
The "Dream Villas" are the place to be in Crete!!!
We had a great time with Valia and the Owners of the Villa. Firstly Valia organized everything without any problems and we could call her any time if we would have any problems. Thank you Valia, we really were in good hands. Secondly the owners of the Villa are the most friendly and helpfully people we've met. They were so bothered to keep us our privacy and let us feel comfortable, we even didn't wanted to leave this place.
The Villa is beautiful and big and the garden with your private pool is even bigger. So we also enjoyed a lot to stay at home. Everyday we started the day with this awesome view you have from each balcony at the villa.
We can recommend this place and for us it was one of the greatest time we could have. And this is not only because the island is great, but also because we had the best place to stay!
Thank you so much for all your effort and giving us the best holidays we could have!
We had an absolutely lovely stay in their Villa despite a bit of variable weather and being out of season and the local town closing down. Just supermarkets left open really. The villa has everything you could need and is all new. Ideal kitchen with all you could need, a lovely Veranda to sit out with nice furniture and a gorgeous pool area with nice beds and an amazing 360 view of the sea and mountains.Perfect for the second half of the week when the sun shone.
We did come in the first week in November and Bali had basically closed down. It made us explore a little more and meant we did see maybe more than we would have had it all remained open. Rethimno was worth a visit even in torrential rain and was all open and a bit busier with many places to eat and drink. We did take to the hills in the car to get to one or two smaller villages and had fun?! driving back in the dark on dark and very windy roads.
And do try the local Taverna on the way back up the hill from Bali. Looks a little on its own but when we did venture in they were so friendly, the food was good and about 10 euros cheaper than every where else we ate.
All the booking arrangements were really well handled by Valia and at the property Michael and his Mum couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. Towels etc changed mid week (with home made cakes) and a lovely few items supplied in the fridge etc on arrival.
A lovely chilled week was had and maybe next time we would come a month earlier to see Bali at its best.
We had a wonderful and very stress free stay in Villa Anemone; the owners are increadably helpful and keep the villas and their lovely gardens impecably neat. They welcomed us with lovely and useful gifts including feta, olives and wine. The kitchen is great and well supplied with utencils, pans etc. Loads of towels and and even a robe!
Although we went off exploring many days just staying by the pool with the beautiful hills around you was fantastic (loungers, umbrellas and side tables are all there) and the barbecue is a bonus.
The village of Bali (15 minutes walk) is modern but has nice bars and restaurants and the beaches and water are clean and good for snorkling. Further affield the main road is close enough to give good access to Iraklion and Hania as well as routes via that to the south.
The villa has the benefit of being well connected with a good village close but still feeling that it is in the hills and not in a town.
We had a wonderful holiday and would love to go again in the future.
Villa orchedia more than matched our expectations good views and facilities a real home from home Roula and her family made us feel really welcome even bringing us produce from their garden and home made desserts but without being intrusive. The villa was cleaned every three days with towels changed. You definitely need a car to make the most of your stay as the villa is around one mile from Bali itself but if you have too many rakis a taxi home is 6euros and the tavernas will call one for you.Bali itself is a good mix of tourists and locals with a really pleasant atmosphere and a wide selection of tavernas reasonable priced. All in all the villa is a great base to explore Crete or just sit by the pool and chill
From start to finish we had a lovely holiday at this villa, travelling with our 5 month old son.
The owners and manager were brilliant - from dealing with enquiries before travel, to meeting us on arrival, cleaning during our stay and coming to say goodbye when we left.
The villa itself was immaculate - every bit as good as the photos, and had everything we needed during our stay. And the garden and pool were well maintained and perfect for relaxing in.
We had a hire car and I think you definitely need one - it is quite a steep walk down into Bali, and I definitely wouldn't want to walk back up in the dark.
I'd absolutely recommend this villa to any couples or anyone travelling with a young child.
The villa was beautiful and clean and the views were brilliant. The owners were lovely and helpful. Couldn't have asked for more.
This is a lovely property to stay in if you want to get away from it all. You can lie in the little pool and be surrounded by the most stunning mountains and the only sound you will hear is the bells of the sheep and goats on the hillside.
The villa was immaculately clean, very comfortable and spacious with a large beautifully kept garden.
A car is essential, there are local shops and cafes / restaurants at the bottom of the hill. We enjoyed the beach at Rethymnon where there are also plenty tourist shops for souvenirs. We took an afternoon drive into the mountains which was stunning.
Rula and her family made us very welcome, staying up late to meet us after a late arrival flight. They were available for us but we're not intrusive. We certainly look forward to returning.
Bali was a small fishing village, but over the years has become a charming touring village, overlooking the little fishing harbour and the sea. It is a very attractive and romantic place, combining sea and mountains. Life is easy going enjoying the sun and the clear calm sea at a number of sandy and shingly beaches. Bali is a modern seaside resort, which offers a large choice of taverns and restaurants and a wide variety of little shops, diving school, bars, discos clinic and pharmacy.
Bali is located in a large gulf, 25 Kms east of Rethymno and 40 Km west of Heraklion. Next to the village passes the National Road linking Heraklion and Rethymno, making Bali accessible from any part of the island. It is ideal for family and romantic holidays. Bali has four beaches, which are formed in sandy coves with nice greenish waters. The beaches are almost always calm, since the direction of Bali is western. They all are suitable for children and well organised. Moreover, buses from Heraklion and Rethymnon run to Bali. Furthermore, from the local harbour, excursion boats run daily to Rethymnon. The passengers have the chance to admire a unique coastline with beautiful caves and rock formations.
Livadi is the first beach you come across as you enter the village and is the largest in the region. It is formed in an open bay, which is more susceptible to winds than the other three. It is very well organised and always crowded. At the east end of Livadi, there are the two separate small beaches of Kouskouras, which are not organised and are never busy. They cannot be accessed from Livadi, but there is a footpath leading to Kouskouras 100m west of Livadi. Continuing, in front of the village centre, there is the enclosed bay of Varkotopos with a beautiful beach with sand and gravel in front, which is very well organised. It is ideal for young children, since the waters are shallow and all the necessary amenities are nearby. Further north, you reach the picturesque port of Bali, which is next to a clean beach. Limani, as it is called, is organised and close to many restaurants and shops. Finally, Karavostasis is the last beach you meet. It is the most beautiful beach of the area. It is much smaller than the other bays, although ideal for snorkelling lovers!
