Photos and Description of this 5 bedroom holiday home in West Yellowstone - Exclusive Madison River Lodge

House, 5 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 12-14)

This magnificent property is located on the banks of the Madison River (just 2 miles upstream from 3 dollar bridge) and is a short, scenic, 20 minute drive to the Western Entrance of Yellowstone National Park and West Yellowstone, MT.

If fly fishing is your agenda, within a 30 minute radius you have access to the Madison River (the best blue ribbon trout stream in the US), the famed Henry's Fork, the Gallatin River, the prisitne waters of Yellowstone National Park, and other various local favorites that I am happy to share with you. This truly is the epicenter of fly fishing for the greater Yellowstone area.

If fly fishing isn't in your vacation plans and you simply are looking to explore the many wonders of Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks or just enjoy the peace, solitude, and scenery the Big Sky Country has to offer then this is your vacation spot.

About David Telenko

I've been fly fishing my whole life and started to explore the waters around Yellowstone in 1988. I've fished in many places and decided that this area has more to offer in terms of variety than anywhere I've ever been. So much so, that I purchased this property in 2007 and decided to share it with others until one day when I am able to live there full time so take advantage of it while you can. It's a fabulous property in an even better location!

Why David Telenko chose Yellowstone

This property makes for the ideal location since it is located just outside of West yellowstone. Access to Yellowstone is a short 20 minute drive but at the end of the day when you want to escape all of the tourist traffic within town this is the perfect spot to be. The sound of the water, the beautiful sunset, and the smell of dinner on the barbecue on the deck overlooking the river is priceless.

What makes this house unique

This property can satisfy all of your Yellowstone vacation needs. Whether you and your friends are looking for that great fly fishing get away or whether you and your family or groups of families are looking for that perfect location to enjoy all Yellowstone has to offer.

Beautiful and rustic retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great time at this cabin! The pictures do not do it justice. We had a family reunion here and the cabin had plenty of space for all. The cabin had new furniture throughout and modern amenities, like satellite TV and wireless internet. Comfy beds, clean linens and bathrooms, and a well-equipped kitchen made this a great vacation hideaway.

It's located just steps from the Madison river, where the kids had a great time fishing.

This cabin is in a great secluded area, but still close enough to town when you need provisions or just want to walk around West Yellowstone.

I highly recommend this property, you will not be disappointed!

Your moment of peace !

  • 5 of 5

Montana,Wyoming,Yellow stone - did all with an awesome stay at this property. There are certain places which emit a certain tranquility and we found it here. This is one of those places where you feel at home even though you have been there just for the first time. Just sitting on the house deck by the Madison river in between the mountains, makes your jaw drop. Amazing property on Madison River waterfront ( David surely needs to put better pics :) ), BBQ facilities on the porch by the river, nicely stocked up kitchen and clean house. Initially, I was disappointed that we did not get bookings at the Old Faithful Inn as ours was a last minute thing but it turned out to be a blessing in disguise as we could not have asked for a better property to reconnect with nature as closely as we did. David, the owner is also very helpful with tips on travel around the area.

Spectacular views, Convenient location, Cute, Clean & Well-Appointed Cabin

As other reviewers mention, the photos are not a fair representation of this property. It is much better than the photos! We were all pleasantly surprised upon arrival, including my 70 year old mother who is accustom to staying in 5-star hotels. :)

There were 10 of us, 6 adults, 2 teenagers and 2 young children. Plenty of room for all of us. My 70 year old father had suffered a broken femur 8 weeks before this trip and he was just beginning to walk on a cane. This property was perfect for him. He could not walk done the bank to the river, but he loved sitting out on the very large wrap around porch. We spent every night at the outside table for happy hour and watched the fishermen and listened to the river.

The kitchen is well equipped and the table accommodated all 10 of us easily. Plenty of dishes and utensils for all of us.

The property does sit right on a major road, which I was very concerned about before we arrived. You will hear occasional road noise from cars and tractor trailers, but it is not a very busy road, so it's just every now and then. None of us were kept up in the night from it.

We highly recommend booking a float trip for fly fishing the Madison River. We had 3 boats and used Matt, Taylor and Pat, who were all great guides! We also booked a horseback riding day trip with Mike and spent the day in the Mammoth area of the park riding horses and enjoying the sites without seeing any cars or other people. There is an AWESOME restaurant just 5 miles away called Grizzly's. So, even though the cabin is remote (as everything is out there), you do have a couple of dinner options closer in.

No matter where you stay, you will be driving to get to your next adventure. Having said that, this cabin was centrally located to all of the day trips we made ... Yellowstone Park, Jackson Hole, Big Sky, and Pocatello, ID.

David is great to work with. He is incredibly responsive and accommodating.

We highly recommend this cabin and we will certainly be back again! :)

Family on the Madison

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your home located on the Madison River. It was wonderful to have such a spacious and well-stocked home for our week in Montana. Another bonus was the location-between the town of Ennis and West Yellowstone-that provided a variety of short day trips in all directions. This was our first trip with the entire family of 7. Everyone, enjoyed the home and the easy access to fishing. Thank you.

A Perfect Place for Three Generations

  • 5 of 5

Our family of eleven people had a great time as the grandparents celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, one son and daughter-in-law celebrated their 14th anniversary and the other son celebrated his 46th birthday. We loved everything about the house and its location. The listing and the pictures reflected its appearance and amenities. It was clean and well-maintained. The owner was very helpful and prompt in responding to any questions we had. We would definitely recommend this property to a friend or relative, Having grandchildren ranging from 3 to 12, it was great to have two levels of bedrooms and still have enough space for all to gather in the kitchen and two family rooms. The outside wrap-around porches were enjoyable also. We really had fun horse-back riding at the Diamond P Ranch and eating huckleberry ice cream in West Yellowstone!
