Description

Photos and Description of this 7 bedroom holiday mas in Cabannes - Mas des Pampres

Set between Saint-Remy-de-Provence and Avignon in the heart of Cabannes

It is nested close to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, one of France's prettiest villages (12 km away, 10 min), in Cabannes, a small Provencal village. The farmhouse enjoys a choice position to visit the Alpilles and Luberon — two listed Regional Natural Park areas —, tour the Arles towns brimming with historical and medieval monuments, Nimes, and Avignon

It is in a great geographical location 20 minutes away from Avignon TGV train station, five minutes from the A 7 motorway, seven minutes from Avignon Airport, and 45 minutes from Marseille International Airport. You can reach the surroundings with ease.

Set in Provence among it sweet scents, the Provencal farmhouse is designed to leave you with wonderful memories. It is a privileged space, far from onlookers, that offers your complete privacy.

Mas des Pampres is a listed 4-star tourist accommodation.

This declaration guarantees a certain level of comfort and amenities for wonderful holidays.

Everyone can find their own space in this large lodging of around 400-sq.m.

Sitting in the middle of the village, it is a charming cocoon, a family home, a heritage.

We are fond of Provence and its culture.

A family member, Léopold Vidau, a writer of prose in the Provencal dialect and Provencal poet was a friend to Frédéric Mistral, author whose most note-worthy works are "Histoire de Cabannes", "Entre Durance Alpilles", and more besides. This is definite proof of our Provencal roots.

Under the Provencal sun, you really feel the property's authentic nature, serenity, and peace. It is an assured, simple sort of beauty.

You can go shopping without a car. The basic shops are nearby. Come and stay in the heart of a village sitting on the doorstep of the countryside.

Young and old can come together to explore the small cabin, the famous, fully shaded boules court take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool in the summer, or take a nap on the terrace to the sound of the chirping cicadas in the hundred-year-old plane trees.

You can take cooking classes from a chef with lessons for children in the farmhouse's kitchen.

In addition, the owner can arrange the following services subject to a fee: hairdressing, aesthetic treatments, massage, and more besides.

It is available in the farmhouse, in addition to the horse riding lessons by the hour or day in the village.

About Mireille Taton

Former tree-growing specialists growing apples, peaches, and peaches, we are now retired, and would be honoured to welcome you to our home.

This is why we decided to make our family Provencal farmhouse into a rental cottage.

We enjoy hosting, and family life. We hope that you'll feel at home here.

Mireille Taton purchased this mas in 1978

Why Mireille Taton chose Alpilles

We love Provence as it's where our roots are.

Our ancestors built the Provencal farmhouse in 1880 and it has been in the family ever since.

An ancestor, Léopold Vidau, a writer of prose in the Provencal dialect was a close friend of Frédéric Mistral, author whose most note-worthy works are "Histoire de Cabannes", tracing the area's origins from antiquity up to 1913, and "Entre Durance Alpilles" a book of Provencal poetry.

Under the Provencal sun, you really feel the property's authentic nature, its serenity, and peace. It is an assured, simple sort of beauty.

What makes this mas unique

The farmhouse is on a leafy, 5,000-sq.m plot that is fully fenced and in the centre of Cannes. This small Provencal village is close to Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.

It has three storeys and a surface area of around 400 sq.m.

The professional kitchen offers a 1,200-L fridge, a freezer with a capacity of 600 L,

a cooking range, a powerful, stainless steel grill, a microwave, a dishwasher, and lastly a central island measuring 1.30 m lengthways and 3 m widthways.

Here you can cook as a family !

Cooking an important passion, but a lack of time on other occasions, makes it perfect for holidays. There are cooking classes for adults and others specially suited for kids. This is a great way to look after you.

The dining room as a bar area with a refrigerated counter where, on arrival day, you can sip a fruit juice, a rosé, or a white wine(please drink in moderation)

The large living room offers bay windows with garden views.

The living room has a play area for children. It's fully separate and perfect for a bit of calm between those of the same age group

The Perfect Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

I cannot say enough good things about this lovely home. It was so perfect for our group of friends and family looking to escape for a week and celebrate my 50th birthday.

The owner, Madame Taton was incredibly hospitable and conscientious, leaving delicious treats, local pastries, an assortment of excellent beverages and even brought over a couple bottles of Champagne from her son's wedding! She also arranged a wonderful masseuse to come to the house for a couple of appointments. Madame Taton was quick to respond with a few questions we had about the house during our stay.

The location was ideal for taking day trips in the region without too much driving (Aix, Cassis, Gordes, Isle-sur-La-Sorgue, Les Baux, St Remy, etc) - it is central to most of the best villages in Provence.

We shopped the markets and local shops to create wonderful dinners in this fully equipped chef's kitchen. It was a dream to cook there and dine together on the long farm table that fit our whole group beautifully. As we had two little boys with us, we were thrilled to have the very large playroom equipped with toys and a big movie screen, as well as ride-along toys outside in the courtyard that delivered hours of fun. The boys loved this house as much as the adults! The whole house is impeccably designed to be comfortable while also very tastefully decorated.

I will absolutely share this house recommendation with my friends and dream of the day that I will return. It is such a special place!

Exceeded all expectations

  • 5 of 5

We spent a month at this beautiful family home and it will be a treasured memory for the rest of our lives. We had family and good friends join us for different weeks during our month and everyone was impressed with the kids play area, media room and space. The kitchen allowed us to stay in and cook some amazing meals and we loved having Laure come and do a cooking class with us - a highlight along with Ellodie coming to tutor our son, she was very good. Mirelle is a wonderful host, responsive and even though I speak no French we made it work and her kindness in looking after 7 children one night so we could all go out was so appreciated along organising for the children to go on a pony ride when the club was not open. The small touches like with the wine, juices were lovely and we already miss the cycle rides for the morning bread and relaxing by the pool. Thank you for an amazing month - the highlight of our four months away. Thank you Mirelle & Pierre

Amazing

  • 5 of 5

Mas des Pampres is incredible! We stayed at Mas des Pampres for 10 days at the end of July. There were three families; 7 adults, 1 teenager, and 5 children aged 5 and under. The property is beautiful, spacious, functional, with all mod-cons. It was very hot whilst we were there and the airconditioning meant we were always comfortable. The kids loved the property: there’s a huge outdoor area including a cubby house filled with ride-ons and toys; the pool is absolutely beautiful; and inside there’s a dedicated kids rooms with a huge screen for movie nights and it’s filled with toys. Our hosts were wonderful - they provided trays of stone fruit, wine, fruit juices and welcome pastries. The kitchen is absolutely amazing - it’s enormous and has everything and anything you could ever possibly need or want. We’d recommend this property to anyone. It is a very very special home.

Perfect for large families

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from our week stay at Mas des Pampres. We had a group from four families of 15, eight adults and seven children ranging in age betweem 4 and 15. With seven bedrooms, we were able to accomodate everyone perfectly. The AC was strong in every room, showers and baths were modern and beds were comfortable. The villa had a huge assortment of toys, games, bikes etc. so that all of the kids had things to play with and no complaints of being bored. The kitchen was great for cooking for our large group and there were three different large tables that all of us could sit down at. The owners were near by, so the one or two small problems we had (gas for the grill and an electrical matter) were quickly resolved. They were very gracious hosts and provided many snacks, treats, wine, fruit etc when we checked in. The location was also great, with a good supermarket only 3 minutes away. We were able to make morning excursions to many towns and return in the afternoon for a swim. The one night we all went out for a nicer dinner, it was only a 25 minute drive to Saint-Remy. I would highly recommend this property for any larger group who wants a central and lovely location in Provence.

Amazing house

  • 5 of 5

I have just spent a glorious sunshine-filled week at Mas de Pampres enjoying everything that this beautiful house has to offer; including comfortable bedrooms, huge swimming pool and fantastic dining area. Upon venturing out, we discovered that we were ideally located to visit the various vineyards and markets that Avignon had to offer and that the hiring of bicycles was a great way to enjoy the pretty scenery of Provence.
