Charming house in Binissalem !!!

A summary of the house based on six week stay

The description of the house is accurate, (it has plenty of charm, space and comfort). However, some aspects were not as described, e.g. the dishwasher is broken and has not been replaced, the soft furnishings for the garden seating need replacing, the local church bells ring hourly throughout the night, (but can be drowned out if the fan is put on in the bedroom), the electrics can trip out if the kettle and oven are used at the same time, and overall, the property needs some redecorating and minor repairs made.

The location is pleasant with restaurants and shops close by, and best of all, the regular, and inexpensive train service to Palma is a short walk from the house.

We were pleased with the proximity to varied cycling and walking routes in the mountains, and the fantastic indoor pool at Inca (ten minutes by car). Great for pre-season triathlon training.

We would recommend the property to others, because, on the whole, it is good value and pleasant.

Eigentlich eine hübsche Bleibe, ABER...

EIGENTLICH eine sehr hübsche Unterkunft, wenn nur die folgenden Punkte nicht gewesen wären, die unteren Uralubsaufenthalt getrübt haben:

- die Spülmaschine war (offenbar schon seit längerer Zeit) defekt, da dies bereits in einer vorherigen Bewertung beanstandet wurde

- ein Toaster war nicht vorhanden

- Der Ofen war nicht zu benutzen, weil beim Einschalten jedesmal die Sicherung heraussprang (hatte der Vormieter ebenfalls schon beanstandet)

Die Unterkunft war leider schlecht gepflegt und befand sich insgesamt in keinem guten Erhaltungszustand:

- Geschirr und Kühlschrank waren nicht sauber

- das Dach im OG war undicht, so dass bei Regen Wasser herabtropfte und aufgefangen bzw. aufgewischt werden musste

- die Sitzkissen im Außenbereich waren teilweise verschimmelt

- 1 Bettlaken war zerrissen

- Lampen waren teilweise nicht angeschlossen

- mehrere Glühbirnen waren defekt

- Mäuse in der Wohnung, die teilweise die Lebensmittel in der Küche angefressen haben.

Der Kontakt mit der Vermieterin war zwar freundlich jedoch wurde auf unsere Beschwerden nur mit deutlicher Verzögerung reagiert. Darüber hinaus hat sich die Vermieterin nicht einmal persönlich blicken lassen. Bezüglich der von uns gerügten Punkte wurde uns lediglich angeboten, eine weitere Endreinigung durchführen zu lassen und es wurden uns (kurz vor Urlaubsende) neue Glühlampen zum Austausch der defekten Leuchtmittel an die Tür gehängt.

Die Vermieterin hatte uns am Schluss eine Mietpreisermäßigung verprochen, die wir jedoch nie erhalten haben.

Letzendlich war es zwar ein schönes Haus, in dem aber offenbar in letzter Zeit keine Instandhaltungsarbeiten mehr durchgeführt wurden. Daher leider keine Empfehlung...

Owner's Response: Agradecemos los comentarios constructivos. Sentimos mucho que la estancia no fue del todo satisfactoria para los huespedes. Tambien coincidieron con malo tiempo en la isla y un fin de temporada muy fuerte y larga que hizo que se deterioraron detalles en la casa. Despues de su salida, aprovechamos para arreglar estos detalles para que la casa vuelva a tener el exito que tuvo hasta entonces.
