The Adirondack Mountains offer one of the most beautiful places in the U.S. year round. Whether it be to seek warmth and comfort during the colder months, or to find an awesome vacation destination year round - its here. Fulton County has 44 lakes, and is central to many other great places to visit in the region. Camp Garoga is located in the foothills of the Adirondacks, and offers a great vantage point for exploring all of what upper New York state has to offer. This log cabin setting provides a comfortable place to settle in, with modern amenities but with the rustic charm that only a cabin can offer. A great lodge for a romantic weekend getaway or a vacation week for you and your family.

Enter the cabin to a cozy and charming setting that allows for privacy, romance, and rest. It is a great escape from the hectic pace of life. It is second to none in terms of clean, comfortable, and cozy relaxation.

It has to be clean!!: Camp Garoga is an 'upper-quality' lodge. We strive to maintain a very clean, and allergy-free environment. Therefore, we do not allow pets. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Why Chris chose New York

IT TOTALLY MAKES SENSE because we offer so much more!

With hotels being choked out by state and federal regulations, they are being forced to add ridiculously high "taxes and fees" ON TOP of your quoted nightly price. They're delightfully calling it a hospitality tax. Laymen refer to it as a bed tax, but logic knows it as a business killer. So why stay at a local hotel with a single room? For just a few dollars more per night you can make your business trip or weekend getaway so much more memorable in one of my cabins.

Guestbook comments from the owner

(from our guest journal, a recent returning guest wrote...) "Jacob and I have now been to Camp Garoga 4 times. We have come to see this place like our own cabin in the woods. We had considered buying a cabin in the Adirondacks some time back, but was worried about the expenses. Once we found Camp Garoga, we decided that buying a cabin wasn't necessary. We already have one! We call when our schedule is open, and the place is waiting for us. It is always clean and it feels like they went out of their way to make us feel like we were coming home again. We love it, and will see you again soon." Jacob and Gabbie

The stay was great and had lots of fun with the family. Hiked Kane mountain and had a good dinner in town at harolds. The cabin is very clean and decorated so nice.

A Comfy Cabin w/ All the Comforts of a Wooded Resort

  • 5 of 5

If you're searching for a quaint, fully loaded vacation stay at a great price then this is the spot. We stayed here for our 1st anniversary. It was everything that we hoped for & more. Camp Garoga is well-appointed & designed with comfort in mind. Chris is incredibly thoughtful & staged the place perfectly for our arrival. The moment you step into the french doors, it feels like home (even if it is only temporary). Thanks again for providing the setting for an amazing weekend. Our only regrets are that we didn't have a chance to use the backyard & fire pit! We might have to come back again....

Weekend to get away from it all

  • 5 of 5

Simply an amazing and relaxing weekend! This cabin was everything that we were looking for and more! I loved the environment, so close to the Adirondacks tucked right into the woods, but close enough to easily travel to many nearby locations. The design of the cabin was stunning, that made us feel immediately comfortable once arriving. Not to mention the air conditioning, tv, wifi, and every kitchen utensil you may ever need. These amenities were able to give us the perfect rustic cabin feel, while also knowing we have everything we need. Chris was more than helpful during our time there and that made the stay that much more enjoyable, knowing that we had someone to count on in the off chance that we needed any help. I would recommend staying here to anyone, great location and unbeatable pricing.

Beautiful, cozy Cabin!

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very cozy and inviting. It was decorated really beautifully. I loved everything except 2 things. First, it was very noisy with the traffic speeding by. Sometimes it was so noisy that we couldn't even enjoy sitting outside. Another thing was the fact that the cabin is for 2 families...one cabin in the front and the other in the back. The owner told us we needed to keep it quiet because of the other people staying in the other cabin. With our 3 kids, it is hard to keep it quiet. When I am on vacation, the last thing I want to worry is about us having to be quiet at all times. I want my kids to be able to laugh and be kids, even at bedtime because after all, it is a vacation!!! Other than that, the cabin was nice!

Owner's Response: I'm very sorry to hear about your experience at my cabin. I do realize that people enjoyed being on vacation and families need to decompress. Not knowing how people raise their children, I always ask guests to simply "be mindful of the guests in the other cabin". Believe it or not, the guests in the other cabin got the same speech and they didn't have any children. As for the traffic, you're not alone in wanting to enjoy the Adirondacks and your vacation. And since the cabin is driving distance to many adventures, other vacationers and residents want to take full advantage of that as well. I can only assume that you stayed during a motorcycle event about 40 miles north east. Unfortunately the road we are on is a scenic route for travelers( which works to my advantage) and people love the views and fresh mountain air. Unfortunately I cannot control adirondack life, but I do aim to make my cabins the best around and the most affordable for accommodations. As a side note, there are 400+ acres directly behind the cabin which I lease for your quiet enjoyment. It's a great place for kids to explore and be kids.

Warm and cozy!

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriend and I wanted to get away for an extended weekend. Our hopes were to take a break from work and the stresses of everyday. I fell in love with this cabin upon seeing the photos. Upon arrival, the love remained. It was cozy, familiar, and had everything one would need. From games to a equipment/utensil stocked kitchen. Chris was very helpful prior to our arrival. He kept quick communication before and during our stay, if we needed him You will be very well taken care of if you choose this rental. And the hot tub was fantastic! Nothing beats sitting in a toasty hot tub during the winter months.
