A comfortable room in a house located near the arts district, with many restaurants, cafes, bars and interesting shops. It is a short and fun walk to the Old Port. Shares large full bath and half bath with rented guest room.
Our street is beautifully tree lined, friendly and in an historic district. We are walking distance to many great eateries and drinkeries (how is that for a new word?) We are also very close to several music venues and walking distance from the Old Port (less than a mile).
Details about the space:
A queen bed (new mattress as of November 2018!) in a cozy room. Dorm size refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and tv with a roku player are all in the room for your use. The small fold out table perfect is for a laptop or to enjoy your morning coffee. A comfortable arm chair gives you a place to read.
Shared bathroom: This bathroom is what is called a “Jack and Jill” which means that there is one door leading to the studio and another door leading to the other guest space. This means you do not have to pass through "public" space to get to the bathroom. It is shared only by these two rooms. There are fail safes in place to ensure that guests do not lock each other out. (See signage near bathroom doors.)
Half bath : The half bath is located under the stairs on the first floor. It is shared by everyone in the house including residents.
Parking : We provide free parking at a parking lot behind our house. Guests may pull into the drive way to unload (and load) luggage and pick up (and drop off) parking pass. The parking lot is directly behind our house, so driving and then walking around the block (300 feet) is required. You will be given instructions about where to park. Parking pass must be hung in rear view mirror at all times. During the winter, you may be asked to move your car for plowing purposes.
