Welcome to Abita Springs! I moved here in 1974 along with a group of artists all seeking relief from city life. Abita Springs is my haven and feeds my artistic spirit. Cardinal's Rest has been my studio and one-time art gallery. Please join me and enjoy this perfect small town.
Mary purchased this Cottage in 1974

Quaint and cozy.
Great experience. Quiet little place to get away from the city. Mary is a wonderful host !! Very knowledge and accommodating. Thank you, Mary.
Very relaxing and cozy!
Mary made it so easy for us to feel right at home! Enjoyed all the accommodations and the porch for wildlife and beautiful scenery. We tried to go to Abita Springs Cafe' but there was a line, we will just have to come back ;) loved everything about this quaint town like it's Mystery House and the Farmer's Market! Also, the artwork in Cardinal's Rest is fascinating.
Very cool and clean.
Lovely place to stay in Abita Springs
Very nice accomodations and our hostess, Mary, was amazing! Hope to stay here again when we are in La.
Mary and her property made our Father’s Day weekend of biking in the Trace such a memorable time! Perfect for our family! We highly recommend!!!
We enjoy our short stay at Cardinal's Rest! It was a cozy, quiet retreat away and right by the bike path (the reason we choose to this place). Everything was just as Mary listed, we were just sorry we never got to meet her. We did visit with a few neighbors as they walked by. For anyone interested, just imagine a bike ride on the path, fresh crawfish on the front porch in the evening, enjoyed with an Abita beer, breakfast the next morning at Abita Cafe and another bike ride....repeat! PERFECT at Cardnial's Rest!!!
