Set on a quiet place, just 5 km from the old city of Split, the villa welcomes you into its unique premises for a memorable holiday. The villa is situated very close to Stobrec, Salona and Trogir. A picturesque Stobrec , founded by Greek colonists as Epetium, is famous as a tourist resort with a variety of summer evening entertainments. Salona is the archaeologically fascinating ruined Roman town, built in the 4th century B.C. The comfortable and safe environment of the villa makes it an excellent choice for families, suitable for both leisure and business stay. In the beautiful lawned garden children can play while the adults relax on sunbeds, with cocktails, swimming in the pool or tending the barbecue. My family and myself are proud to be born and live in our beautiful 1700-year-old city of Split. It is neither too small nor too big town and has an unique Mediterranean charm and beauty. So much hospitality and friendly attitude you can find almost nowhere else. The art, heritage and lifestyle, that is all about Split. You must simply come and enjoy.
Zeljka Galzina purchased this villa in 2001
Villa has been renovated in 2014 and equipped with brand new furniture. We started to rent a villa for the first time for the season of 2014.
We were building this house in a way suitable and comfortable for ourselves and our family, so we thought it would be also enough good and nice for the guests who are coming here. We cared about every single detail that makes you feel at home. Cosy villa e cosy home!
House is set in a quiet corner of Split, close to the beautiful sand and pebble beaches, surrounded by lovely nature and far from the city crowd. At the same time it is close enough to enjoy all the beauty, lively atmosphere and attractions of the fantastic town of Split.
The name and décor of Villa has been inspired by the local operetta Little Floramye (Mala Floramye). The famous Croatian composer Ivo Tijardović (1895 - 1976), born in Split, wrote an operetta that still attracts audience by each performance.
The Little Floramye conjure the magic of Split between the two world wars. The premier was in 1926 in Split. This is a love story between Split's girl Floramye and local student Mirko. The scene takes place in Split, on the Adriatic coast and in Quimperville , a small village near Marseille.
The villa's rooms have names of three main operetta's roles: Mala Floramye, Šjora Petronila and Missili - Bissili ( Miss Evelyn Beauty Flower )
We have just returned from a lovely family holiday in this beautiful villa. The villa was really spacious for 4 adults and 2 children. The swimming area and garden were lovely, as well as the balcony at the front with its beautiful views. Our hosts were excellent, they thought of everything we would need; from chocolates and sweets for the children, wine and food for the adults, and even spare adaptors for us to use, all very much appreciated. We walked into strobec in 15 minutes on an evening, which has some lovely bars and restaurants overlooking the bay. We were within a short driving distance of split, trogir, omis and Krka national park, so had some lovely day trips during our visit. The weather was beautiful so the villa's pool was a welcome relief for an evening dip on our return. We would definitely recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing break in this beautiful part of Croatia.
The property is clean, spacious and has everything one could need for a happy and relaxing stay. Zeljka is an excellent host and she genuinely cares that her guests feel welcome in her home. She takes great pride in what she does and our family of 2 adults and 3 children felt very well looked after. The villa is much more spacious than the photos suggest, the view of the mountains from the pool are beautiful. The kitchen is well stocked with all the things you could possibly require, the garaged private parking keeps the car cool and the property is secure. The villa and pool was so relaxing that we spent most of our days in the pool. There is air conditioning in all bedrooms which was essential in August. Parking in Split can be difficult during July and August so a car is not a necessity as we took a taxi on a few occasions as it was less hassle. A great holiday was had by all in a beautiful part of Croatia. Stobrec and Trogir well worth a visit. We went to Blue Lagoon on snorkel trip but most of coral been destroyed so not much to see. Great views on the boat however of the islands.
Very nice villa. Immaculate inside with nice furnishings. Quiet for sleeping even with the windows open. Owner was very helpful with recommendations for restaurants, etc. Would gladly recommend to anyone planning a stay in Split. Indoor parking a great plus.
An absolutely beautiful, clean and spacious villa. The pictures do not do this place justice, it looks much better in person! Zeljika and her husband were both lovely and very accommodating.
The villa is in a very good location. Close to both Split centre, Stobrec and the surrounding areas, however, a car is definitely recommended as it may be too far to walk for some.
A brilliant holiday.
We had a great family holiday in this beautiful villa, Zeljka was lovely, we could not fault anything. Villa was spotlessly clean and really well equipped. Plenty of space, garden and swimming pool was fantastic, so quiet and relaxing, but not isolated, really quiet residential area.We used the concierge service for taxis into Split, Ante would reply quickly and service was excellent, driver was extremely friendly. We would not hesitate recommending this lovely villa, would definitely return.
Fortunately myself and a group of 4 friends managed to secure Villa Floramye at short notice due to a cancellation.
Firstly i would like to take the time to mention Zeljka, she was extremely friendly, helpful and professional making booking the villa and arranging check in an absolute breeze. She was extremely quick to respond to all emails and was happy to take phone calls to discuss the booking.
The Villa itself was excellent, a short 20 min taxi from the airport situated in a quiet residential area offering great views of the surrounding hills from the pool area. It is only a short 5-10 minute taxi ride to Split old town. The villa was extremely clean well decorated and excellently equipped. The kitchen is stocked with all appliances and utensils you will require and its worth mentioning the air conditioning is excellent. The bed rooms are spacious, with ample storage space and bathrooms similarly are in great condition. The pool area is again fantastic, and where we spent the majority of our time at the villa.
The villa also comes with a concierge service, courtesy of Zand Concierge (Ante, being the point of contact). He was contactable at any time of day, i can vouch for this and was always quick to reply. We used him for all our taxis to and from Split, he also has excellent local knowledge and can offer advise or arrange anything required. Its worth mentioning our taxi drivers who were excellent! Super friendly and always went out there way to help us out!
In short our holiday was fantastic, and we have already discussed returning to Split and the surrounding islands as soon as possible. I would not hesitate to book Villa Floramye again and would definitely use Ante's services.
I am more than willing for people to contact me regarding my stay if they have any questions.
Stobreč is an attractive coastal town located on a beautiful scenic peninsula. In ancient Greek was known as Epidauros (latin name Epetium), only 7 km away from Split's historical centre and Diocletian palace. Its famous sandy beaches attracts many tourists. You can enjoy the plenty of good restaurants, bars, water sports and leisure activities, including tennis and golf. During the summer there are lots of evening entertainments and fisherman's festivities. The most famous one, the feast of the patron of the town St. Lawrence, takes place in August .
Split, the capital of Dalmatia is the largest city in Dalmatia and it's largest ferry port. Diocletian's Palace is one of the most unique architectural and cultural site in Europe, protected by UNESCO. Small boutiques, shops, galleries, bars and restaurants... are hidden behind the walls of Palace.
200.000 inhabitants of Split give it a warm Mediterranean temperament. Thanking to its ideal climate, with more than 2.800 hours of sunlight per year, local people have a few nicknames for Split: ''The most beautiful city in the world' and 'Mediterranean flower'. Because of many famous Croatian sports people born in Split, it is also called by locals as 'The sportiest city in the world'.
Very close to villa there is a canyon of Žrnovnica River with a beautiful countryside and rural ambience. Žrnovnica is situated on the western slopes of the mountain Mosor along the river Žrnovnica. This modern tourist village has several good restaurants and guest houses that offer excellent local food in country settings.

Staying in a holiday property close to the sea enables you to get down to the beach at anytime during the day, whether you are going for a morning swim, sunbathing, surfing or walking along the promenade in the evening or perhaps taking a boat trip across to the islands.
At Stobreč and surroudnings, along the coast of Omiš or Trogir, as well as in Split, there are plenty of restaurants that offer traditional Dalmatian cuisine, wine and beverages. The cuisine has Mediterranean flavour, with lots of olive oil used in preparation. It is recommended to taste some traditional Dalmatian meals:
