Wonderful central apartment with great host

La Casa di Ambra is in the heart of Catania. It's spacious with two large bedrooms and two bathrooms. One bedroom is a double, the other has two single beds or can be one double bed. The large kitchen is fully equipped for everything you need. There is even a Nespresso coffee machine and a juicer. The living room is very big with a dining table, a big television with international channels. Massimo is the most wonderful host. He has thought of everything to make the guest's life easier. The internet is the best we have had at a rental apartment. Massimo offered to pick us up from the airport but we had our own car which we parked on the street outside. Although the apartment is central and close to the market, it is very quiet which was great. It is a minute's walk from Sicily's famous fish market which I visited every morning for fresh bread, fruit and vegetables, cheese, ham and other wonderful delights. There are plenty of good restaurants nearby and for us it was perfect. We were a family of four and the apartment was ample for us. It's huge. I highly recommend La Casa di Ambra and I am sure you will have a good holiday if you stay here.

Great location, great place, great owner

Overall, we were very pleased with the property. Firstly, the owner Massimo was very kind and accomodating. We needed some special help and he was generous to offer us his time. This was in addition to his pick-up/drop-off service. He was also quick to respond to our emails/texts. Secondly, the property itself is fantastic. It's a colorful and interesting old building with tiled floors and vaulted ceilings, and it has all the necessities included. We were just two, but there's enough space to include another couple or a few kids. The place is on the first floor and on a side street, making it quiet. Lastly, the location is pretty convenient. We did not need to get from the main station/airport; nonetheless, one could walk if needed and there are transport links nearby. There are outdoor food markets just around the corner and also a number of tourist sites which are easily walkable.

Great Base for Etns

We were not disappointed. Massimo our host provided some nice additional touches. He met us on our arrival at the rail way station and provided a transfer to the apartment. Altough he was away when we left he arranged for a friend to do the same when we left. There was also some basic food and drink which was useful as we arrived on a Sunday. As it was summer and very hot the air conditioning was most welcome.

Great Location, Close to everything!!

Really enjoyed our stay at Amber's House! Only small issue was parking but everywhere in Sicily city centers parking is pretty hard to find. Great host! and great amenities!!

Fantastic locations w all the amenities

Wonderful apartment. Host was tremendously gracious. Picked us up at airport and provided us with a map and identified all key tourist sites. Apartment is a few blocks from main plazas, large open air market, etc in the heart of old Catania. Easy to walk the neighborhoods or use taxis and trains to get around. Don’t recommend a rental car. Parking is too limited in crowded in the old city. The apartment was clean and had all the amenities for an extended stay. If you want to experience the local population, this is one way to do it! 5 stars for Sure.
