Description

Photos and Description of this 2 bedroom holiday cottage in Beaumont-en-Véron - Old Cruchon Mill

A former windmill, fully renovated for four people with a large garden

At the heart of the Loire Valley and the Anjou-Touraine Natural Park,

The Old Cruchon Mill's charm and great location are sure to delight.

It is near the prettiest middle age and renaissance castles, such as Villandry, Langeais, Azay-le-Rideau, Rigny-Ussé, Saumur, Rivau, and Fontevraud Abbey, the largest monastic complex in Europe. The Old Cruchon Mill is, above all, an oasis of peace nestled at the confluences of the Loire and Vienne rivers.

From your lodging, you can tour the Loire Wine Route sampling the best cuisine and most refined wines: white, rosé, red or sparkling. These include Chinon, Bourgueil, Saumur, and Vouvray.

5 km away from the accommodation, Chinese and its fortress are UNESCO World Heritage sites. They offer one of the best markets for local produce.

You can also easily visit the Chenonceau, Amboise, and Blois castles. Spending a day at the Poitiers Futuroscope, an hour's drive away, is an alternative.

The other activities include hot-air balloon flights, canoeing and kayaking on the Vienne, cycling on one of the family routes and throughout the Loire, mountain biking in Chinon Forest, golf and horse riding nearby. You can go hiking and discover the charming Touraine villages, exploring the countryside and the vineyards, and sunbathing on the sandy beaches on the banks of the Loire and Vienne rivers.

At the Old Cruchon Mill enjoy the natural setting and the 2,000-sq.m landscaped garden. Perched at the top of a hill surrounded by vineyards and facing the Vienne River Valley, you can admire in the evenings the beauty of the sun from your arbour.

In the vault and dome of the former Cruchon Mill, amidst well-appointed, original decor, you can relish the pleasures of your stay here.

At the Old Cruchon Mill you can take away a truly an unforgettable experience of a pleasant stay.

Romantische Mühle

  • 5 of 5

  • 5 of 5

Michelle juillet 2016
