good value for the price
cozy little apartment. Every thing looked good. Be prepared for some sharp steps going up. The location was excellent. Very easy to get to metro or buses. The only problem we encountered was the bathroom. the smell of sewage system overwhelm the bathroom. We could not get rid of it. We were told it was just an old building. The couch could also be either cleaned or refabriced. This was a great value for the price. I think if they could get rid of the bathroom smell then it would be a great place to stay.
very homey and welcoming
Miguel was a very gracious host, truly wanted us to enjoy the apartment and the city.
The apartment was very well equipped......couldn't have asked for anything more.
Great location......tram right outside.
nice and friendly guests
always well came
There is a nice amount of space and the area is close to many historic sites.
We had a great time. The owner was very helpful and gave travel tips about the area. We had a full kitchen but didn't stay long enough to use it. I would recommend this property to a friend.
Great hosts, accommodation and location!
Miguel and his brother Antonio have been extremely welcoming and available, the flat is cozy and very clean in a wonderful location full of amenities thanks guys!
Quirky but well located and priced
Pros: Great communication and availability by owners, excellent internet and TV options, comfy but worn couch, great mattress, kitchen well stocked, and convenient location....noisy neighborhood but quiet in the apartment.
Cons: The pillows were terrible, old building means old bathroom plumbing (no flushing toilet paper and weird off gassing from the pipes....but good water pressure and hot water), the bed takes up so much of the bedroom that it is awkward to get into.
Bottom line: It is adequate and the price is right.
Spacious and clean in an excellent location
We spent 3 nights in this clean, well equipped apartment. Communicating with the owner was simple before and during our stay. Miguel was not available to check us in but his brother Antonio did an excellent job of orientating us to the apartment and answering any questions we had. It is a old building but very well maintained, street noise is about what you can expect in any big city and easily managed by closing the windows. We truly enjoyed our stay.
The apartment is located in Grace. This area is on the highest hill of Lisbon having one of the best views of the city.
The Neighborhood of Grace has all kinds of trade and services, including restaurants, cafes, bakeries, supermarkets, grocery stores, bakeries, pharmacy, banks, bars, hairdressers, terraces and public transport at the door (metro and buses) and underground 10 minute walk away.
The apartment is within walking distance of the square where takes place the flea market every Tuesday and Saturday. This fair is the oldest and most traditional of the city, which sells everything, new or second hand and you can find some valuable antiques.
The apartment comes with easy walk (about de15min) to the city center. If you prefer you can go on the tram 28 (at the door) whose route passes in most tourist sites of Lisbon.
Alfama, Castelo (St. George), Baixa, Chiado and Bairro Alto.
A 5-minute walk from the apartment you can find sights with fantastic views of the castle of St. George, the Tagus river. In the Grace of viewpoint there is a terrace café and just 400m lies the viewpoint of Senhora do Monte. The views are even better at sunset!
The nearest airport is Lisbon International Airport is 5 minutes by taxi and the railway station is International Station of Santa Apolonia 1 Km.
