Cozy and Peaceful
We really enjoyed our stay in this cute and historic cabin. The property was amazing. The view was spectacular. The property is secluded yet you are minutes from downtown Woodstock. Woodstock is a very charming town with cute shops and delicious cafes. Tom was very easy to work with and answered all of my questions. I would definitely recommend this property. However, I would not recommend it if you have small children. The loft is quite open.
Peace at last
Enjoyed the beautiful silence here at this wonderful cabin. I loved drinking coffee on the porch in the morning while deer, turkeys, bears, and foxes wandered nearby. My favorite part was the proximity to the trails above. During the week we attended the Vermont Auto Show, conquered the Great Vermont Corn Maze, viewed the nearby Quechee Gorge and Vin Nature Center, played mini golf, and saw the state fair in Rutland. We managed to squeeze in some reading and some of the games at the cabin during our downtime. The cabin itself feels historic, with its wide exposed beams, and the old pictures of it are really neat to see. It's conveniently located, has great views, and the night sky is incredible, particularly since we were there on a moonless night with a meteor shower. Highly recommend staying here if you need to get back to nature and soothe your soul.
Rustic, extremely peaceful !
This cabin is lovely, quiet and peaceful. An abundance of wildlife, hummingbirds, deer, owls and hawks tonnage a few. Very rustic but comfortable. Great, attentive host !
House and fixtures have rustic character in mountain setting. Short walk up to Park trails. Just a few minutes drive/bike up from village of Woodstock.
1/4 mile to hiking trails in the Marsh-Billings-Rockefeller National Historical Park.
