About Stephen & Christine
We moved to York in 2013 and live in Heworth with our little Shih tzu dog called Chester. Christine took early retirement from the AA (lucky so & so ) whilst Stephen is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. We both enjoy meeting and greeting our guests and always go the 'extra mile' to ensure that they enjoy a warm welcome and comfortable stay in our apartments. We treat all our guests as we ourselves would expect to be treated. We deliberately make our apartment like a 'home from home' so our guests can relax as soon as they walk through the door knowing that their holiday is going to be a memorable experience.

Talbot Court is in a fantastic location close to the Minster with stunning views of the 13th Century Holy Trinity Church. It is only 2 mins walk to the Minster and the Shambles. All other York attractions are within easy reach. It is an easy 5 minute walk from our secure car parking facility on St Saviourgate.

wonderful property and location
A wonderful, quiet and well-appointed pied- a- terre in the very midst of York. A very tasteful amalgam of a modern property adapted to a a historic setting. We have stayed in properties from Hong Kong to Mexico and this is certainly a memorable one. Stephen was very helpful and efficient in regard to making arrangements. Highly recommended.

We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone. Everything about it said “quality”!. Very peaceful despite being right in the middle of the city. If I was being extremely picky I would have preferred a slightly softer mattress and pillows. Car parking space is 5 minute walk to apartment but that did not bother us. In fact it helped us get our bearings!

Had a lovely stay at the apartment very well located close to York Minster. Owner was really nice. Parking is not located with the property so was not great carrying all our luggage through town centre as not accessable by car which was very disappointing as bollards never went down. Overall would highy reccommend though. Really enjoyed.

Turning to the complimentary parking provided, we explained in our welcome email that " Our car parking facility is in a gated private car park on St. Saviourgate which is an easy 5min walk from the apartment" . Stephen met you on arrival at the car park & offered to help you with your luggage but you declined the offer, preferring instead to drive round to the apartment after 5pm . Stephen explained that between 10.30am & 5pm each day Low Petergate (where Talbot Court is located) is closed to traffic. You have stated that the removable anti-traffic bollards located near the Minster on High Petergate were "never taken down". We should advise that these are erected at 10.30am & promptly removed at 5pm every day of the year without fail. We can only presume that instead of driving down High Petergate (after the bollards were removed) , that you went the wrong way and your path was blocked by the permanent bollards located to the left of St Michael le Belfrey Church which prevent entry to the Minster Plaza. We can appeciate that this mistake must have caused some frustration but despite this we are pleased that this did not spoil your enjoyment of our lovely City. We hope to see you again & will of course be happy to help you navigate the tricky City Centre roads should you require it. Best wishes Stephen & Christine
Lovely apartment right in the middle of York
Perfect stay away with my partner, well presented place in an amazing location, couldn’t ask for more!
Hosts were amazing and made us feel welcome, it was our first time staying somewhere from this site so to be honest we were slightly apprehensive. We were put right at ease though!!
The car park is only a short walk from the apartment but we left it on the Friday and never used it again till we left on sunday everywhere is just that close and handy.
10/10 would love to stay again some time

The perfect place to stay in York
We booked Stephen and Christine's lovely apartment because it appeared to be a perfect location for exploring old York while living in first-class comfort. Indeed, it was exactly that--a perfect location and a very comfortable, well-equipped apartment. Honestly, you won't find a better spot in that grand old city! We really appreciated Stephen's help in getting us settled and we were delighted with all the goodies provided for the first night and breakfast. We heartily recommend this place. We certainly want to stay there again if ever we're back to York.
