The apartments are located in a quiet location and are accessed via a remote controlled electric wrought iron gate accessed from Low Petergate, which is one of the most picturesque medieval streets in York.The entrance leads into a medieval half timbered courtyard with floodlit fountain. Both apartments have been decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard with quality and stylish modern furnishings. The kitchen has all of the facilities and equipment that you would expect to find in your own home .Tea, coffee, & sugar are provided as well as a welcome pack which will include continental breakfast for your first morning’s stay.The lounge has two sofas – one of which is a sofa bed.There is a flat screen TV with blue ray DVD player and a selection of DVD’s for your enjoyment. You can listen to the radio or play your own music selection from your iPod on the music system provided. There is FREE wi-fi available during your stay.The dining table can comfortably seat 4 adults.The bedroom has a King size bed and is furnished with high quality furniture and soft furnishings.There are fluffy bathrobes for your use during your stay and a hair dryer is provided.The Bathroom is fully tiled with beautiful limestone and there is a bath with power shower above. A heated towel rail and towel shelf provide soft hotel quality towels for your use. Complimentary toiletries are provided.The luxurious apartments are perfect for romantic breaks or relaxing holidays .

Apartment No2 is on the ground floor having recently been acquired Apartment No 4 is on the first floor. Both have wonderful views of the Minster, the Minster Song School and 13th Century Holy Trinity Church. The layout of the apartments is similar and they are furnished to the same high standard.

4 Talbot Court is a spacious and luxurious first floor, one bedroom apartment with gardens overlooking York Minster, the Minster Song School and Holy Trinity Church. Access to the apartment is directly through electronically controlled wrought iron gates. Outside the gates is one of the most picturesque medieval streets in York. The entrance leads into a medieval half-timbered courtyard with floodlit stone sculpture. We have decorated and furnished the apartment to an exceptionally high standard with quality and stylish modern furnishings. The kitchen has all of the facilities and equipment that you would expect to find in your own home. We provide tea, coffee, & sugar, as well as a welcome pack, which will include continental breakfast for your first morning’s stay.The lounge has two sofas, – one of which is a double sofa bed. Why Stephen & Christine chose North Yorkshire

We holidayed in Talbot Court ourselves in 2011 and enjoyed our stay so much so that when the opportunity arose we bought Number 4 so we could offer the same wonderful experience to others. In 2014, we took the opportunity to acquire Number 2 which was the actual apartment we stayed in during 2011.

What makes this apartment unique

Talbot Court is in a fantastic location close to the Minster with stunning views of the 13th Century Holy Trinity Church.

The apartment is beautifully decorated in an extremely unique way. Nothing is too much for our hosts and all the little toouches from fizz, to croissants to cakes made my stay in York for my 25th birthday extremely special. Would gladly recommend to friends and definately won't stay in a hotel again !!

Superb accommodation for a week in York

We picked this apartment because of its ideal location (York Minster is prominently visible from the windows) and very high ratings from previous guests. The skeptic in me doubted all would really be as good as advertised - there must be something lacking. Not so - the apartment is beautifully appointed, very comfortable, scrupulously clean and fully and practically equipped. Our hosts provided a delectable, thoughtfully chosen and much appreciated Welcome basket. In addition to a voluminous selection of brochures about the myriad tourist attractions in and around York the apartment contained an interesting selection of books and DVDs plus broad collection of guides, maps and books providing deeper insights into York that enhanced our enjoyment during our stay. (I recommend reading and walking the "Snickleways of York" and the "Walking Tour of York City Walls".)

Everyone must visit the Minster (awesome) and anyone interested in trains will be amazed and delighted by the size and scope of the National Railway Museum with its 1,000,000 items and multitude of locomotives and rolling stock.

Our hosts even provided their own reviews of nearby restaurants and pubs to simplify answering the "Where do you want to eat tonight?" question. (We particularly enjoyed Lucia's.)

We will definitely recommend this apartment to our family and friends who may consider visiting York.

Fabulous flat, beautifully furnished, central location with a very warm welcome

4 Talbot Court is a centrally located in York with fabulous views of the Minster out of every window. It is beautifully furnished throughout and wonderfully comfortable. WiFi is provided as well as free view TV and a BluRay /DVD player. Stephen made us feel very welcome, and explained all the amenities in the flat, as well as useful local places within walking distance. Additionally we were provided with a continental breakfast for our first morning. As we were also celebrating a birthday, Stephen and Christine also left a card and a lovely present too.

We also took advantage of the car parking space, which is a very short walk away.

I cannot recommend this flat highly enough, and will be back to stay again, very soon.

Beautiful Property and Delightful Surroundings

Stephen and Christine provide a beautifully decorated apartment that is superbly maintained. The interior is cheerfully decorated with fuchsia and turquoise curtains and patterned fabrics, blond wood furniture and lots of fun touches. The bed is very comfy and soft robes are kindly provided for visitors. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, cookware and even an apron. Lots of thought has gone into figuring out what will help with your stay. Perfect and cozy. The apartments are in a new, very attractive building which faces a courtyard and that is fronted by a medieval building. Walk out your locked and gated front entry and you are in the middle of the cobblestone streets of Old York. York Minster (the cathedral) is practically in your back yard. Lots of the attractions such as the boat rides on the river, the Shambles and the National Railway Museum are a short walk. Also easy to walk from the train station. Trips to the Yorkshire Dales and the coast leave a block from the apartment. They do have a car park available if you are driving. Lots of shops, boutiques and cafés nearby. Also a Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury's Local just a few short blocks away if you need anything or prefer to cook. Several banks nearby if you need cash. All in all one of the best vacation rentals we've experienced. Highly recommended.

Fantastic self contained property in the centre of York

Quiet, exceptionally clean and superb hosts.

Spent the week exploring York and surrounds, great to know we could return to the comfort of the property to relax and unwind. Steve and Christine there if needed otherwise left to our own space to enjoy the break

Gorgeous property, fab location!

This apartment offers everything that you could possibly need during your stay. There are many finishing touches that take this property to another level and makes you feel like you are staying in your own home away from home.

Stephen (the owner) met us in the secure private car park and assisted us on the short (5 mins) walk to the apartment. I was celebrating a special birthday but have recently had a spell of ill health which has impacted on my mobility, but the short, flat/level walk was easy, even for me.

A birthday card, bottle of Prosecco and selection of delicious cakes were awaiting us at the apartment and were very much appreciated, thank you Stephen and Christine.

The apartment overlooked Holy Trinity Church, the Minster School, and we could even see the Minster itself through the leaves on the trees (as well as a squirrel playing under our window).

The entrance to the apartment is via a secure gate on a busy street in the centre of York, however as you enter the courtyard, you are transported to a quiet, serene haven, hidden from the hustle and bustle of the city.

We will most certainly return to 4 Talbot Court again and I will recommend this apartment to everyone I know. Fabulous!

EVERY COMFORT & FACILITY IN A TOP LOCATION

The friendly owner, Stephen, was kind enough to greet us personally upon arrival and show up around the apartment. There has clearly been careful attention paid to what their guests would need as everything was provided for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed our weekend in this clean, cosy, and very well provisioned apartment which, although located at the heart of the ancient city just next to York minster in a great shopping/dining district, is nevertheless calm and quiet. Highly recommend this convenient property in a charming location.
