Traditional Village Cottage with own garden and Pool.

Bedrooms 4
Separate WC's1
Space 2,152 sq. ft.
Property type cottage
Minimum Stay 4 nights

About the property

Luxury Cottage set amongst vineyards and olive groves.

The house is situated in an ancient tiny wine-producing hamlet, full of old masias and cottages. It is surrounded by vines and olive trees and is hidden away from the tourist haunts. It is possible to walk or cycle up into the hills and the Garraf Natural Park from the front door.

Staying here will be a different experience to staying in a residential urbanization or in Sitges itself (which can be noisy). Even so, the amenities of Sitges are only minutes away from the cottage.

The traditional Catalan style cottage, with beams and terracotta floors, enjoys a southerly aspect with distant sea views. There are terraces both up and downstairs and a well-stocked and private garden with convenient places to eat around the pool. Open up the french doors and use the garden as part of the house !

The cottage has been the subject of many recent renovations .

This village house is built on three floors with the living accommodation on the ground floor, bedrooms and bathrooms above, and the office on the lower ground level.

Recommended as a 'Special Place to Stay' by Alistair Sawday.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just to say how much the whole family enjoyed their holiday in your beautiful house. The whole house was impressive and we really appreciated some of the more thoughtful details like the provision of swimming towels. The well-equipped kitchen was a real pleasure to cook in and the bottle of chilled cava on our arrival was a lovely touch.

A real five star experience - Thanks again.

Fantastic house

  • 5 of 5

just returned from a stay here, the house was lovely and the best equipped I've ever stayed in, I always pack a bread knife, chopping board and tongs - this is the first house I really didn't need to! Also the pool and outdoor space was bigger than we thought from the photos so really pleased.

The house notes were comprehensive and covered everything, the tips on where to park in town etc most appreciated.

The location among the trees and vines was beautiful, watching the swallows and bats diving for insects in an evening was great.

Sitges itself was great, and we managed to eat out in several of the recommended places.

We made a couple of trips into Barcelona and the train was easy and only 35mins so the house is well placed for this too. We parked all day in the town car park (not the station) for just 3.60 euro in the week.

It was a great holiday, fantastic property and town, and I would definitely recommend.

This cottage is beautiful. Off the beaten track in a tiny village, but only a 5 minute drive from Sitges. The outside area is so pretty, we loved the tiny humming birds that feed off the flowers. The children had great fun in the pool, and there are two tables for eating outside. The cottage is spacious, very homely, and well equipped. It has everything you need, especially plenty of towels. All in all we could not fault it, and would defiantly recommend it.

A relaxing week

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I booked this villa as a final relax at the end of our month long trip from Australia, my Mum, Aunty and a good friend joined us for part of the time. We were all absolutley delighted with the homeliness of the villa and the quality of all the furniture and especially the extremely well equipped kitchen. The pool and garden are perfect.

Jane's friends who manage the property were wonderfully helpful with restaurant recommendations and taxis.

This is truly a hidden gem to relax in away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Thank you Jane for a wonderful holiday.

Fantastic Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

We have just returned from this villa. A mixed bunch of 7 people, 3 generations of one family and some partners- and we all had a superb holiday. There was easily enough room for us all.The villa is beautiful and the setting perfect. There are so many home comforts that really make the place. We made use of the bikes, great cycling country. John really ensured everything was in order for us.

The location ideal---for trips into Sitges or up into the mountains-- or simply just lazing by the pool! The village is quaint and the local wine at 80p a bottle is delicious!

We would all recommend the villa and it will certainly take some beating!l

This was the best vacation villa I have ever stayed in! There was just the four of us, me, my husband and two kids and it was so large, another family could have stayed with us! It had everthing we needed, the kitchen was fully equipped. The washer and dryer was very handy. The beds were so comfortable, like being at home! You may want to bring slippers b/c the terra cotta floors can be a little hard after a while. The pool was perfect for a dip although we couldn't get the kids out of it, they had so much fun! Plenty of good books to read. I could go on and on! OH and the Cava in the fridge when we arrived was a welcome surprise! Thank you Jane.

Joan and John, who were the property managers, were extremely helpful! When we first arrived we listened to the GPS rather than the directions the owner provided and got lost. We called John and he was able to get us to the villa without a hitch! They were also able to recommend sights to see and restaurants. There were plenty of recommendations provided by the owner, Jane, aswell in the house book that was provided. Maps and pamphlets were in a large basket by the front door.

There was even a lovely Thai restaurant within walking distance (Cinnamon) in Vallpineda. We loved the winery Cordonui. Also Montserrat was spectacular. The beaches in Sitges were amazing, go to the Club Nautica Sitges (out on the peer) for tapas.

Best vacation ever, thanks to Jane for the home away from home, and, John and Joan for their wonderful hospitality. I would definitely stay there again.

Beach holiday with a difference !

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time in this house ,which far exceeded our expectations . Even though it was situated in typical Spanish countryside , we were only 5 minutes from the sea . The owner and their house managers were very helpful before and during our stay .It is a great base from which to see Sitges itself, Barcelona and Port Aventura theme Park . My kids wish me to mention the pool which they used nearly every morning and often in the evening after returning from the beach . I should also mention that the house was very well stocked with everything you could possibly need ,especially in the kitchen and a great selection of books .It was our first time driving in Spain and we had no problem following the owner's directions to the house .

Although Homeaway has now listed our house in Sant Pere de Ribes, it is actually situated midway between SITGES and SANT PERE de RIBES. It is actually possible to walk into Sitges from the house.

After listing with Homeaway for 13 years, it seems that the popularity of Sitges has confused their organisation. Under the heading of Sitges, one can see properties as far away as 2 hour's drive by car, there are also properties considerably further away from the centre of Sitges town, both up in the hills and also in the Centre of Barcelona.

Les Torres is a small peaceful and ancient wine producing Hamlet, steeped in history, it is situated within five minutes drive of the centre of the fashionable and vibrant town of SITGES - famous for carnival, numerous other fiestas, miles of sandy beaches and designer shops. Sant Pere de Ribes with it´s old-fashioned charm is also only five minutes away. There are frequent buses which pass the end of the road. The city of Barcelona is a half-hour drive by car but similarly is well served by public transport ( Cheap trains and buses from Sitges ). The wine-producing area of Penedes is on the doorstep - with the possibility of visits to the wine and cava houses. The old Roman town of Tarragona is within an hour´s drive, and the Adventure park of Puerta Aventura, with it´s exciting rides and themed areas is near to Tarragona. Aqua Leon water park is even closer within 30 minutes drive.
