Peaceful Location In The Centre Of Chamonix With An Underground Parking Space

Set on the top floor with uninterrupted, panoramic views of Mont Blanc, Le Refuge is a stylish, two-bedroom apartment in the heart of Chamonix, next to the river and minutes from the shops, ski lifts and public transport.

With a south-facing balcony, open-plan layout and high ceilings the apartment feels really light, and is incredibly spacious at 70 square metres. Considering the central location, it’s a surprise to find that it’s in a tranquil setting, facing away from the street and not overlooked by any other buildings. The apartment has been newly renovated to a high standard, retaining its local rustic charm but with all the conveniences of a modern home.

Le Refuge easily sleeps 4 to 6 people. For those with young children there’s plenty of space in both rooms for a cot.

The apartment has a private parking space in a secure garage underneath the building, a private ski locker, and lift access from the garage. There's also free public parking nearby.

Why Harriet & Oli chose Haute-Savoie

We bought the apartment in 2013 so we could spend more time in Chamonix and enjoy the amazing skiing in Winter and beautiful hiking in Summer.

What makes this apartment unique

Chamonix is really easy to get to from the airport and the underground parking space means that we can always find have somewhere to put the car, and in the winter we don't have to spend ages each morning clearing snow off it.

The apartment is really peaceful, considering it's central location, and the high ceiling and large windows make it a wonderfully relaxing space.

Only stayed for a few nights but really liked this apartment. Underground car park was great, although make sure you get the fob with you keys! Lift takes you to top floor where you find apartment. Warm nicely decorated apartment with great functionality. Particularly liked having an oven which is rare in the alps Only minus was there was no bath to sooth the old legs after a days skiing but shower was hot and powerful. Good location for town centre, literally 5 min walk (if that) and ski lifts 10 drive but well signed We have booked again for 2015 and can't wait!!

We have had a wonderful 2 week holiday here at Le Refuge. The apartment is lovely, clean, light and extremely well equipped throughout. We have particularly enjoyed the sunny balcony with it's stunning views and have spent plenty of time there with a glass of wine!. The area of Chamonix Sud is very friendly with an excellent Boulangerie and a good selection of Restaurants and shops.

Stunning apartment, perfect place to stay.

It was a lovely, homely place to live in for a week. The facilities were great and the view was breathtakingly beautiful. It was light and airy and very peaceful. The apartment was well equipped and we particularly enjoyed using the hot stone. The bedrooms were cosy with lots of places to put things away in. Brilliant for a family with children. It's only a couple of minutes walk to the buzz of the town centre.

Our only issue was with SnoStation. We recieved no details from them after the initial flurry of emails once we had booked. I phoned on the way from the airport and got an accusation that a) they had never emailed us-we had had email discussions about bed set up and then b) oh well, you did book direct, if it had been thro us it would have been different. Thanks. We had numerous phone calls to establish where abouts of SnoStation, their locker, the apartment, parking number etc. Luckily having started on a sour note, entering La Refuge immediately lightened the mood. Fabulous place. If we are back in Chamonix we will definitely be calling Harriet to stay here again. Can we buy it?!!!

A cosy, clean & warm place with lovely view

Le Refuge is one of our favorite apartments which we stayed. It is not far away from Chamonix Train Station, and there are some roof windows in the living room, kitchen and 2 separate bedrooms which can make the most of the natural light. It is really quiet at night, and the beds are comfortable. We loved to sit in the balcony to see the beautiful views of Mont. Blanc. In addition, it's only 3 minutes walking to Cable car station of Aiguille du Midi. We loved to stay at Le Refuge and will stay here again when we visit Chamonix next time.

This Chamonix sud apartment

could not be better located, central yet quiet, comfortable, and just as described on the listing. With a decor typical of the area, a well stocked kitchen, easy underground parking, good management, home away from home for two weeks. Highly recommended and plan to return!

A hidden gem .very central to Chamonix .

Fabulous location . Superb views from balcony.

This our second stay at Le Refuge . Very comfortable for the 5 of us . Well equipped kitchen. Nice chill out lounge . The power shower welcome after a hard days skiing. Would recommend this accommodation . We may well be back again 😎

Stunning views

This is a beautiful apartment and the views simply stunning. It's position in Chamonix was perfect for exploring the area. Our children particularly enjoyed the Cham Aventure activities down by the River Arve.

Because this apartment faces away from the road, towards Mont Blanc, it's really peaceful and hard to believe you are in the town.

Although there is no washing machine, the launderette just up the road is fantastic.Great if you're trying to travel light.

We'd definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and are hoping to return ourselves soon.

Le Refuge is perfectly located in the centre of Chamonix next to the river and minutes from the shops, ski lifts and public transport. The apartment is on one floor and can be reached via a lift from the underground parking.

The Mont Blanc tunnel gives access to Italy in less than 25 minutes - Courmayeur, the Aosta valley and fantastic Italian food!

Activities :

In Winter, as well as skiing, there is paragliding, snowshoeing, ice climbing, winter mountaineering , ice skating and dog sledding.

In Summer, there are numerous hiking trails with huts in the area, rock climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, water sports like canyoning, kayaking, fishing and rafting as well as swimming in the local pools and lakes. You can also play golf, tennis, go horse riding or visit the adventure parks such as the Alpine Coaster luge.
