Peaceful Location In The Centre Of Chamonix With An Underground Parking Space

Set on the top floor with uninterrupted, panoramic views of Mont Blanc, Le Refuge is a stylish, two-bedroom apartment in the heart of Chamonix, next to the river and minutes from the shops, ski lifts and public transport.

With a south-facing balcony, open-plan layout and high ceilings the apartment feels really light, and is incredibly spacious at 70 square metres. Considering the central location, it’s a surprise to find that it’s in a tranquil setting, facing away from the street and not overlooked by any other buildings. The apartment has been newly renovated to a high standard, retaining its local rustic charm but with all the conveniences of a modern home.

Le Refuge easily sleeps 4 to 6 people. For those with young children there’s plenty of space in both rooms for a cot.

The apartment has a private parking space in a secure garage underneath the building, a private ski locker, and lift access from the garage. There's also free public parking nearby.

Why Harriet & Oli chose Haute-Savoie

We bought the apartment in 2013 so we could spend more time in Chamonix and enjoy the amazing skiing in Winter and beautiful hiking in Summer.

What makes this apartment unique

Chamonix is really easy to get to from the airport and the underground parking space means that we can always find have somewhere to put the car, and in the winter we don't have to spend ages each morning clearing snow off it.

The apartment is really peaceful, considering it's central location, and the high ceiling and large windows make it a wonderfully relaxing space.

Only stayed for a few nights but really liked this apartment. Underground car park was great, although make sure you get the fob with you keys! Lift takes you to top floor where you find apartment. Warm nicely decorated apartment with great functionality. Particularly liked having an oven which is rare in the alps Only minus was there was no bath to sooth the old legs after a days skiing but shower was hot and powerful. Good location for town centre, literally 5 min walk (if that) and ski lifts 10 drive but well signed We have booked again for 2015 and can't wait!!

A hidden gem .very central to Chamonix .

Fabulous location . Superb views from balcony.

This our second stay at Le Refuge . Very comfortable for the 5 of us . Well equipped kitchen. Nice chill out lounge . The power shower welcome after a hard days skiing. Would recommend this accommodation . We may well be back again ��

Stunning views

This is a beautiful apartment and the views simply stunning. It's position in Chamonix was perfect for exploring the area. Our children particularly enjoyed the Cham Aventure activities down by the River Arve.

Because this apartment faces away from the road, towards Mont Blanc, it's really peaceful and hard to believe you are in the town.

Although there is no washing machine, the launderette just up the road is fantastic.Great if you're trying to travel light.

We'd definitely recommend this apartment to friends and family and are hoping to return ourselves soon.

Excellent apartment, very well presented, light and clean. Very roomy and well located 5 minutes from town and only 15 minutes from ski school. Would definitely recommend

The apartment was perfect, extremely well equipped with plentiful good quality equipment. The furnishings are beautiful. Le Refuge was definitely the best ski apartment we have stayed in and ideally located for all the facilities in Chamonix.

Snostation were excellent, their services exceeded all expectations. We would definitely recommend the apartment to anyone wishing to visit Chamonix. Many thanks for making our holiday perfect.

A fantastic stay at Le Refuge

Le Refuge and Chamonix in general is a perfect place to relax in October. We have visited the area many times before and will continue to use Le Refuge in the future. The standard of the property was very good - not huge but with perfect views and ample space for a family of four. The location is simply excellent with marvellous views of the mountains and is very central - a two minute walk into town with great access to some superb restaurants. We were very pleased with our choice on our first visit to this property - no minus points from us - thanks!! 10/10

Lovely, bright apartment with most amazing view

Apartment building in a good position; ideal for walks as well as being close to the shops. We visited out of season but still plenty to do. This is our second visit to Chamonix for just walking and relaxing; we love it. Le Refuge is a pretty, very beautifully presented apartment. It was difficult to take our eyes off the breathtaking view from the windows. We sat in the sun on the very private balcony and watched the Paragliders floating past Mont Blanc. We appreciated the well equipped kitchen and quality utensils as we prefer to cook for ourselves.(my husband is a chef).

Would stay here in preference to anywhere else when we next visit Chamonix. Snostation were friendly and helpful when we arrived although we didn't need to contact them again as everything had been arranged perfectly.

Only one criticism was the vacuum cleaner which has minimal suction! (We would have liked to leave the rugs a little more fluff-free!)

Le Refuge is perfectly located in the centre of Chamonix next to the river and minutes from the shops, ski lifts and public transport. The apartment is on one floor and can be reached via a lift from the underground parking.

The Mont Blanc tunnel gives access to Italy in less than 25 minutes - Courmayeur, the Aosta valley and fantastic Italian food!

Activities :

In Winter, as well as skiing, there is paragliding, snowshoeing, ice climbing, winter mountaineering , ice skating and dog sledding.

In Summer, there are numerous hiking trails with huts in the area, rock climbing, mountain biking, paragliding, water sports like canyoning, kayaking, fishing and rafting as well as swimming in the local pools and lakes. You can also play golf, tennis, go horse riding or visit the adventure parks such as the Alpine Coaster luge.
