Located in a peaceful one-hectare park, this 300-m² contemporary house, certified “5 épis” by Gites de France, offers you multiple amenities. There is a roofed and heated pool from May to September, an infrared sauna with full spectrum, and a games room with billiards, air-hockey and foosball. It is spacious, comfortable and luminous. It consists of: four bedrooms, three bathrooms, two toilets, a large living room, a lounge with a swimming pool view (160-cm flat-screen TV connected to a Bluetooth sound system, 140 channels available), a fully equipped kitchen featuring small and large appliances (Double-door refrigerator, thermomixer...), and Wi-Fi Internet access, and baby equipment is available upon request. Outdoor: a roofed swimming pool (10 x 4-m) with a dome, a large 100-m² terrace made of natural stones, a barbecue, garden furniture, a private car park, table tennis, shuffleboard and darts. Sleeping capacity: 10 people.

It is in this small, picturesque village that we decided to offer you to discover the richness of our region.
This lovely house set in a large garden with its own woods, plenty to explore for the younger members of the group. With three generations the games room and table tennis had plenty of use and the pool was a great hit with all ages.
There is a small supermarket a 5 minute walk away, the village, restaurants and bigger supermarket 10 minutes away. In the village we enjoyed some delicious meals at Il Calcio, the owners restaurant. We found the owner to be very friendly and helpful.
The surrounding countryside is beautiful dotted with pretty, often medieval, villages. 20 minutes away is a lake with a small beach, pedalos etc, at Sille' Le Guillaume. Le Mans is 40 minutes away where we found a theme park for the youngsters.
We all enjoyed our stay immensely and would highly recommend this property.
The property is large and spacious, clean and well equipped with games galore and a pool to play in. we were two families with 3 teenage children and an 8 year old who were fully occupied throughout the week. The property is very secure and safe with lots of outside space. It does say the owner speaks English but it is very limited and confusion arose when we were asked what time we could leave the property on the last day, make sure you are ready and out by 10:00 as we believed we agreed 10:30 and were then hurried out the house in a very brusque manner - shame but didn't spoil a great week.
The house was beautiful and modern and had been recently renovated to the highest standard. We were made to feel welcome by the owner and could keep in touch via SMS if needed.
Outside is a large garden which my children loved, the pool is heated and has a cover, the BBQ is provided and there is a table and chairs under a canopy. The garden is surrounded by tall conifers so although there are neighbours you never see them. The driveway has remote operated security gates and the garden can be lit at night.
The bedrooms are all very modern with four large double beds, bunk beds and also cot. The showers are all very large walk-in style and all very modern. The sauna is also a delight to use and a great way to end the day!
The lounge has a large dining table that would seat 12 people and a large sitting area with 2 sofas. The kitchen has another small dining table and that looks onto the conservatory. In the basement there is a pool table, air hockey table and also a table football table. My boys had such great fun and their pool skills improved greatly in the week we were there!
The town has a large Supermarket (Super U) only 10 minute walk away and you can get pretty much all you need there. There is also a baker in the village which sells excellent bread and pastries. It is called La Petite Paysanne and is situated on Rue Bailleul and about 10 minutes walk.
If you want to go somewhere larger there is a shopping centre just as you enter Alencon which I would recommend. There are also lots of shops in Le Mans. We would recommend not using the motorway to get there but using the regular road that the locals use (D338) as you pass through some picturesque villages on the way (particularly to Le Mans).
The Le Mans Race Track museum and tour is excellent and I would recommend. The Le Mans cathedral and old town are also very worthwhile visiting (the cathedral is truly spectacular). We parked in the car park behind Pathé Le Mans Quinconces which is directly opposite the cathedral. In Alencon we parked in the large car park next to the court house on Rue Alexandre 1 er and walked through the Parc Des Promenades. There is a very large play park at the far end of the park. There are loads of bars and cafes in the area to enjoy.
So overall the house is fantastic and the local area has a huge amount of potential for those looking to split their time between relaxing at the house and touring the immediate area. I would highly recommend this house!
The house was beautiful and had an amazing amount of facilities to add to the enjoyment of a stay in France. It totally reflected the description and was very well maintained, clean and comfortable. The pool, sauna and games room were a bonus. There is a very large garden and small wood too. We were very happy there and were quite sad to leave.
The owners were lovely and went out of their way to make our stay a good one, even using an app to help solve any of our language problems.
There was everything that we needed in the nearby village centre including patisseries and a very well stocked supermarket.
I would heartily recommend this property and thank the owners for a very special stay.
The villa was absolutely perfect for our 2 week relaxing family holiday. There was plenty communal space and excellent facilities for a large group. The house was very clean and very well equipped. The bedrooms were comfortable and it was great having window shutters. The only drawback with a larger group might be that there were only 2 WCs - this was OK for the 6 of us but it might be a struggle with a group of 10.
The outdoor space around the property was excellent - a very large garden with secure entry to the driveway. We were not disturbed once and no surrounding properties overlook the villa. It was a major benefit having a large outdoor sitting area which we used every day for both relaxing and for eating our meals outdoors (even in the rain!). The on-line description mentioned a BBQ however it was a slight disappointment to find it was actually an electric hotplate and not a traditional BBQ - easily solved by purchasing a small BBQ at the local SuperU!
The covered swimming pool was fantastic and was used every day in both sunshine and torrential rain!
In summary, the villa was excellent and in fact the pictures on line do not do it justice - it was even better than it looked on the website! We would not hesitate to return in future and would willingly recommend it to friends. The owners were easily contactable both before our arrival and during our stay and were very helpful. We would also recommend their restaurant in Fresnay-sur-Sarthe (Il Calcio) where we had a lovely meal at extremely reasonable prices.
All-in-all a fantastic experience!
Excellent séjour dans cette belle et grande villa ! L'accueil des propriétaires est parfait, nous ayant laissé de la flexibilité sur les heures d'arrivée et de départ.
La piscine, le sauna, le grand terrain ont fait l'unanimité chez les 10 personnes présentes lors de notre weekend ensoleillé.
L'emplacement est parfait, à mi-chemin entre Paris/Nantes-Angers.
