The former home of a well-known local artist, Gabbiano di sotto, meaning ‘the seagull’, is one of two stylish apartments for four, located in a private ochre coloured palazzo, within an easy walk of Cefalu’s sandy beaches, shops and restaurants.
Recently restored with white washed wooden beamed ceilings, wooden floors and white and blue colours throughout, the apartment feels light and airy. An open plan sitting/dining and kitchen area opens onto a sitting out balcony which looks over a dining terrace on the rocks below. Upstairs is a shower room and two comfortable double bedrooms, one with a private balcony and wide uninterrupted sea views, the other with a balcony overlooking historic Cefalu.
A group of 8 can rent the entire sea front palazzo if Gabbiano di sotto is rented together with Gabbiano di sopra.
Accommodation: Steps up to the entrance on the ground floor: Sitting room/dining area and kitchen with sitting out balcony, steps down to a private dining terrace on the rocks. First floor: two double bedrooms and a shower room.

Services: Bedlinen and towels are provided. The apartment is cleaned once per week, before arrival and after departure. A lift can take anyone with walking difficulties to both apartments. On street parking is available
The town itself offers plenty to explore and enjoy. The old town is littered with charming narrow streets, baroque palaces and piazzas, and plenty of friendly bars, restaurants and shops. The long sandy beach is inviting, while the crystal blue sea is simply irresistible. It is truly a beautiful spot, and a slice of authentic Sicilian life.
