An updated 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom beach house very close to the beach and pool.
About Dave Brossard
My wife Sylvia and I still live in Northwest Michigan, but, plan on spending more time at the Dune Dancer as I recently retired. We are planning on using our home in the late fall and early spring and eventually part of the winter, but, we are not quite ready to give up X-county and downhill skiing.
Dave Brossard purchased this House in 1997
Why Dave Brossard chose Port St. Joe
I fell in love with the Cape and our home in the spring of 1997 when I was camping down the beach. My dog and I found the this house on one of our morning walks. The beautiful and peaceful Boardwalk Association that we live in with our white sand beach and community pool is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy life. Our home is what I think a beach house should be bright and comfortable with porches on three sides.
What makes this House unique
We love our two closest towns of Port St. Joe (pop. 3,500) and Apalachicola (pop. 2,300). Combined they offer an amazing number of good restaurants and interesting drinking establishment. The amount (and quality) of live entertainment in these two small towns is amazing.

This was a fantastic house. We so enjoyed our stay. Lots of room with an extra loft area with a trundle bed where any kid would love to hang out!! Absolutely loved it. So clean and everything you would need in the kitchen. Loved the gas stove!! I would give it 5 stars all the way thru. My husband and I are beach bums so we didn't really like the beach in this area. We had to go on down Cape San Blas to get to clear blue-green water. Also, people can drive on this section of beach even at night, also people ride horses on this section. Nothing is wrong with any of this but I don't want to walk or sit where a horse has just relieved himself! This is not the owners fault. None of the other reviews ever mention this. We were there the whole week and never had clear water, we did walk many miles up and down the beach. The house is absolutely amazing just don't like the beach in this area!
Great place to stay!!
Enjoyed our stay at The Dune Dancer. The house was clean, very cozy and inviting. The kitchen was very well stocked for all our cooking needs. Hated to leave!!
This is a very quiet location. There is a 5-10 walk to the beach. The beach is quite private with only a few families near by. The house was very comfortable except when the air went out for a few hours. Owner was Johnny on the spot to answer text. Luckily after we shut it off for a couple of hrs., it started back up and repair man was there the next day to look it over and make sure it was okay! Thank you Owner! We had everything we needed to enjoy ourselves.
Very nice rental
We really enjoyed the house. Only wish is that it was right one the beach. The house was really nice and we loved the layout of the house. The owner was very nice and always responded to our needs without delay.
Loved our true get away!
Dune Dancer was just what we needed for a true get away with the whole family (2 small doggies included). The space was perfect, there is even a loft not described which our kids used as a play area. We beached, did lots of puzzles, reading, and enjoyed day trips to PCB and Apalachicola. Our favorite restaurant by far was Mama Joe's Pizza in Port St. Joe. Communication with Dave, the owner, throughout the week was quick and easy. Being on a cul-de-sac, we had no concerns with the kids riding bikes or walking the dogs. The walk to the beach was easy - there are a few stairs on the boardwalk, so be ready to lift your wagon. ;) We would definitely stay here again if coming to the area.
Cute, comfortable and rustic
Love Dune Dancer. Would definitely stay there again. Short walk to the beach. Half mile from the best little pub on the Forgotten Coast. (Scollop RePUBlic) Owner ready to help. Couldn't ask for much more.
