Great girls weekend
The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed.
Great for a quiet getaway or base for local outdoor adventures.
Wonderful guest house, sparkling clean, great location!
Wonderful guest house, sparkling clean, great location!
Beautiful home with modern decor and plenty of room -- very comfortable beds and beautiful views in all directions of orchards, pasture, and the Grand Mesa. Very friendly and professional hosts who are quiet but available on request and very knowledgeable about the area.
We had a lovely stay at Blue Door Farm Vacation Rental. We were visiting family in the area and needed somewhere close to stay. We didn't spend a lot of time there, but it was a welcome place to come home in the evening to wind down and sleep. The beds were excellent. The home was very clean. We were traveling with two small kids and it was great to have a pack 'n play and an extra room. The location is great--we spent a morning at the Colorado National Monument and it was a quick drive. We also visited several local wineries and it is quite close. If you are looking to explore the Grand Junction/Palisade area, this is the place to stay! We hope to return soon!
Thank you for choosing Blue Door Farm for your Thanksgiving vacation!
We welcome you to stay with us again anytime.
We are so glad you slept well -- we have received many compliments from our guests about the comfortable beds and welcoming decor. Message us for your next visit to the Grand Valley!

This adorable place was the perfect quiet getaway that my friends and I needed. We loved the feel of the house. We ended up needing one item and the owners were quick to accommodate us even while they were in California!
We hopped on our bikes and biked to some surrounding wineries. We also spent time at the Fruit Basket next door. The owner there was so helpful and we had fun picking some fruit and learning about the plants.
I would definately stay here again! Thank you!
We only needed to stay in Grand Junction over night, which most VRBO's require minimum 2-3 night stay, yet Blue Door Farm was available and Robin was so kind in corresponding hosting us! We enjoyed this quaint, clean, renovated space for one night. The beds were very comfortable and cozy!
Robin was wonderful and quick to respond to any email questions I had regarding our short visit. She recommended paddle boarding (SUP) and visiting the National Monument State Park which we all enjoyed doing!!!
Experiencing TOTO concert with our youngest son and cousin was a BLAST! The concert was held at the new Las Colonias Park Amphitheater which was beautiful and a great venue for concerts plus it was only a 10 min. drive from Blue Door Farm!!!
Highly recommend visiting and staying here!
Thank you Robin & Mark! Blessings on your VRBO adventure ...
Thank you for staying at the Blue Door Farm Vacation Rental, Jim & Kim! It was a pleasure to meet you and I’m glad you enjoyed your visit! We would love to host you again for another visit to the Grand Valley.
Blue Door Farm Vacation Rental LLC offers full accommodations for 1 to 6 guests, with sweeping views of the Grand Valley from the high desert to the Grand Mesa. It is a 15 minute drive to downtown Palisade and Grand Junction, and only 5 minutes to one hour's drive to amazing year-round outdoor recreation, including hiking, biking, skiing, agritourism, music festivals and wineries.
Blue Door Farm is fully furnished with 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, open kitchen-living room, private desk area, and washer/dryer -- located on 5 acres on Orchard Mesa. We are surrounded by peach and apple orchards, pasture and 360* views of the Grand Mesa, Mount Garfield and the Bookcliffs, and the Colorado National Monument. Guests can walk to 2 wineries and drive to a dozen more within 10 miles between the farm and Palisade, Colorado. Guests can also walk or ride bikes one mile from our driveway to the Colorado Riverfront Trail, which runs several miles east and west along the Colorado River. The Fruit Basket Orchard next door offers boxed and you-pick peaches, cherries, apricots, plums, apples and raspberries in season. Our property offers peace, privacy and quiet ~ with open pasture, 3 picnic tables plus outdoor chairs in different locations, a scenic pond, a fire pit plus firewood, and room to park your trailers and RVs (no hook-ups). The Vacation Rental is fully furnished, and the kitchen is completely stocked with dishes, silverware, refrigerator, pots and pans, microwave, coffee pot, an induction cooktop, electric skillet, countertop oven, crockpot, blender, and dishwasher.
The vacation rental and the owner's home share the same roof but have separate front doors, private living space, and no connected inside areas. Guests are welcome to walk in the pasture, sit by the pond, and enjoy the rose garden just outside the bedroom windows. The owners live in the adjoining home and are happy to answer questions. Mark and Robin grow and gather a variety of flowers, herbs, branches and greenery in a high tunnel and small field right here at the farm to create custom arrangements and wedding florals. More information and pictures of Robin's floral studio are available at www.bluedoorfarm.com. Guests will be welcomed with fresh flowers, evergreens or succulents to enjoy during your visit. Mark worked for the Bureau of Land Management for over 25 years and is very familiar with the topography and many recreational opportunities in the Grand Valley and on the Grand Mesa. He loves maps - ask him about the best places to go!
Other things to note: Thank you for abiding by the house rules listed in this property description.
