It is located on the 4th floor of a nineteenth century in the heart of the Marais, preserved historic district of Paris.

The Marais is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Paris. Indeed, many small alleys and old buildings have escaped the major development work of nineteenth century Paris.

In addition to its historic character, enjoy this vibrant and exciting district: museums, art galleries and historic hotels rub shoulders with many shops, bars and restaurants where you can go shopping and unforgettable moments in the heart of Paris.

This rental apartment in Paris consists of a living room - kitchen of 30 m2, 2 double bedrooms under mansard, a bathroom and 2 separate toilets (1 toilet on each floor).

The living room has two sofas, a convertible for 2 adults, an elegant dining area and a large flat screen accompanied with a DVD player.

White and brown tones are dominating this modern and decorated duplex with ease.

Special note for rooms in attic with exposed beams, they have a unique charm that you will discover the exoticism of a country house in night.

The decoration of this duplex, her attic and natural light make this a warm and comfortable place, an apartment rental in Paris where one feels so good ...

Great location with plenty of room

  • 5 of 5

We loved the location of this apartment and, with two floors of space, there was plenty of room for our family of four to spread out. The upper floor had two bedrooms and a full bathroom, the main floor had the living/dining space, kitchen, washer/dryer, and toilet. We ate breakfast in the apartment each morning and made dinner for two of our four nights.

The location is about 15-20 minutes from some of the key sights of Paris (Louvre, Notre Dame, Pompidou Center, Jewish Quarter) along with plenty of food stores and restaurants. We set out each morning on foot and found that there were a few covered shopping walkways within three blocks....there seemed to be sights and new things to try in every direction.

Being on the top floor of the building, with narrow, winding stairs, it would be a challenge to haul large roller bags up to the apartment. We had no issue with this but some folks might not be up to the task. The exterior of the building looks a bit rough but the interior of the apartment is very nice, clean and bright. We stayed in the late fall and the plentiful heating units kept the apartment toasty. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay again!

Clean and great location

  • 5 of 5

The apartment was well maintained and in a great location. The 4 flights of narrow stairs were a little challenging to get all the luggage up though!

Great Location Great Size for Two

  • 4 of 5

My daughter and I stayed in this apartment at the beginning of June and loved it! The location is fantastic--about 10 minute walk to the Ile de la Cite/Notre Dame (you can see Notre Dame peeking out at night at the end of the street from the front steps of the apartment). Also very close to convenient stops on the Metro. Main living area on the first floor is just the right size and cozy. Very helpful to have a tv with an easy to use channel guide so we could watch the news in the mornings/evenings. Kitchen was fairly well equipped, although I could not get the oven to work so that limited meal choices in the apartment. The management offered to send someone out to look at it, but I declined. There are too many good cafes nearby to worry about the oven. No basic spices/oils furnished in the kitchen so again limits what you might want to do on a shorter stay (we were only there for 4 nights). The bedrooms upstairs were quite comfortable with skylights above each bed that could be opened. The street was a bit noisy at night, but when the skylights and windows were closed it was not too bad. Only downside to the upstairs layout is that both bedrooms don't have private access to the bathroom. That might be a little awkward for non-family members travelling together. The bathroom was a decent size, the only odd thing was that the management only left one hand towel and one bath towel per person. If you require additional towels you might want to request that they leave them beforehand. The other reviews about the steps are accurate! There are 73 steps from the front door of the building to the apartment--and they are narrow! Anyone hauling large suitcases will have a hard time getting up there. In addition the steps up to the bedrooms is quite narrow, but there are far fewer! All in all, I would stay at this apartment again on a return trip to Paris.

Owner's Response: Bonjour Tara, Thank you very much for the long and detailed review. I am glad you had a great time and I apologize for the inconvenience with the oven. It was on security lock which explain why you had trouble using it. I wish you a great day and hope to receive you and your daughter again in the near future.

Good for active people

  • 4 of 5

This apartment is on the fourth floor - be aware that the stairs are narrow. Inside the apartment, the stairs to reach the bedrooms on the top floor are quite narrow and steep. I therefore only recommend it to active visitors. The top floor layout is: from the front door, internal stairs are immediately to the right. Those stairs enter directly into the first bedroom (blue in these photos). The full bathroom is at the opposite end of this bedroom. The second bedroom (green) is separated by a door and is entered from a very small hall area at the top of the stairwell. The blue bedroom has no closet space for hanging clothes due to the roof line. However there is a closet on the lower level. The television in the green room is for video only, not set up to receive programs. The beds are extremely comfortable and the linens provided are of a high quality. The entire apartment was quite clean and has a lot of natural light due to skylights at the roof. The immediate neighborhood is full of wholesale vendors and some art galleries. The rue Beaubourg has heavy traffic during the day but is quieter at night. With the windows closed, there was very little noise from the street. It was an easy walk to two Metro stations, the Centre Pompidou and to the rue Rambuteau where one can find many nice food and clothing shops.
