About Lisa Buyack

This property is owned by the Buyack and Pratt families. Natives of Arizona, but we escape to Southern Utah as often as possible.

Lisa Buyack purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Lisa Buyack chose Utah

Southern Utah is a hidden jewel. The area has some of the most amazing beauties in the US. Zion National Park is perhaps the most stunning of all the US National Parks, yet you have Bryce Canyon closeby as well. The quad trail systems through the national forest in the area are some of the best in the nation. The property is fun year round with so many activities to do.

What makes this cabin unique

We built this cabin for us and for our family. It was setup to fit a small or large group combined. We didn't spare any expense as you'll see with the solid wood floors and custom cherry cabinets and granite countertops. The high speed internet, and Satellite TV lets us stay connected to life, yet a step outside and you can watch deer, turkey and numerous other antelope walking around the property. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

Great cabin for families!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great for our two families. The location was perfect because it was centrally located for most of the large parks nearby. It was stocked with all the comforts of home. The fire pit was great for our cookout. We appreciated Brett and Lisa checking in on us from time to time as we stayed longer than most guests. The main living area TV broke before we arrived and they made arrangements to have it replaced quickly. Thanks for sharing your cabin with our families.

So pleased we stayed here

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, nice house that is located between Bryce and Zion. The location requires some driving, but the drives are beautiful and worth getting away from the crowds into the peaceful wooded setting at Duck Creek. We also explored some caves here that we would have never seen if we didn't stay here. The house is beautiful and well kept and we are so happy we chose to stay here over a hotel.

Owner's Response: Hi Jennie - I couldn't agree with you more! The drive down the 14 to Cedar has to be one of the most scenic that there is. The crowds are heavy down by Zion, and so it's nice to go in and see the park and then retreat to the quiet Village at night. Mammoth caves are great, and a favorite for our kids. There is also quite a bit of geo-caching that we've done with the kids in the area. We hope you guys can come back again!

Wonderful Mountain Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Spent 5 days here with my family. Really enjoyed the cabin - lots of windows which brought the outside in, and with a pool table/ping pong table and Xbox, our teenage daughters were entertained. Also nice proximity to both Bryce and Zion. Only problems were that it rained/sleeted most days which made Duck Creek Village a mud bowl so you couldn't walk around outside, the cabin was about 40 minutes to a decent grocery store, and the cabin bedrooms were very dusty (might need a new housecleaner). However, Brett (the owner) was super helpful with suggestions of things to do and see; he really went out of his way to make sure we had a good time. All in all a great 5 days! Would like to come back in the summer.

Owner's Response: Hi Tim! Thank you for the detailed review. The weather at times in Duck Creek can be crazy - and I'm sorry you got a few days of rain. Thanks for the feedback on the dust - we'll be sure to get some additional deep cleaning to avoid that! We're glad you had fun though and we look forward to having you back again!

Gorgeous cabin

  • 5 of 5

This was a beautiful cabin to share with my family of 15. There were plenty of comfortable places to sleep for adults and children and enough bathrooms for a family of mainly girls. Unfortunately, the cold wind kept us indoors more than we would have liked, but we had plenty of things to keep us entertained between the pool table , ping pong table, board games and Xbox. The kitchen was very well stocked to prepare meals for all of us. The owners were very helpful and easy to get in touch with and even called to confirm the coffee pot was working which was important to us.

Owner's Response: Hi Emily! Thank you for your kind review. We're glad your family had a fun time. I can definitely relate to the need for bathrooms with 4 ladies in our own family here. The weather in April is always an adventure, but it sounds like you guys still had a good time. We'd love to have you back again!
