This property was purchased because it was close to the beach, fishing pond & bike/snowmobile trail. My Grandpa was raised by Bear Lake and I think it is one of the most beautiful lakes in Utah.
Why it is called Lazy Moose?
On one of our family vacations my sister called me Lazy Moose, it stuck. When trying to name the cabin it made sense to call it the Lazy Moose Cabin because I want it to be a place to unwind and relax.
We just purchased a swimming pass to the garden city pool and spa (pass will be active until Sep 11 2016. The pass works for up to 8 people, each additional person is $3.00 at the door.
My family and I enjoyed the stay in the Lazy Moose Cabin in Bear Lake, Utah. It had a lot of room and a nice yard for the kids to play in. The sauna was great. I would recommend it to anyone.
We really enjoyed our stay at the Lazy Moose Cabin. It was just the right size and the kids loved the outdoor play equipment. My only suggestions would be a few more utensils in the kitchen and more comfortable seating in the family room. Otherwise, the place was great. We rent a cabin at Bear Lake every summer and this was among the best we've rented.
We spent 3 nights at the Lazy Moose Cabin and enjoyed it immensely. It is a nice and well kept home. The pictures shown on the profile are true to the actual place. The place had everything that we needed during the stay including a playhouse/swing-set in the back yard for the kids which was a huge benefit for the evenings when we were not at the lake. The home is also very close to public beach entrances (although I would not choose to walk to the entrance but would drive to one of the public parking places at the trail head).
The owners of the property are very responsive to questions or issues you might have. We contacted them during our stay regarding a question and they called within 5 minutes of the message we sent. We were very impressed with how responsive and friendly they were.
We loved our stay and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Great location, close to everything and the lake.
We loved staying at Lazy Moose Cabin! Ethan was very easy to get a hold of whenever I had a question. The home was immaculate, spacious, comfortable, equiped and well cared for. The playground equipment was a hit for our grandchildren. We were close enough to Ideal beach at South shore where we had other family staying that we could easily access the lake there. I am unsure whether we really had access to the lake and beach had we not been able to use the beach at Ideal. We have sail boats so that would have been an issue if we wouldn't have had Ideal's beach. It is a great location though right by Pickleville Playhouse and riding trails. Such a beautiful Lake to visit and having an air conditioned place to come home to after a day at the hot beach was wonderful!
Lazy Moose cabin was perfect for our family. While it was not technically a cabin, it was perfect for us! Our children loved loved loved the huge backyard and swingset. We couldn't figure out how the sauna worked, but that was ok. We loved all the space inside. Soaking in the tub was a favorite as well! We didnt really cook but we did miss having a toaster for our eggo waffles so maybe that could be added. It was super clean-we were very impressed with that. We loved our stay here, our kids were sad to leave! We would definately stay here again!
