Lakefront 3 bedroom,3 bathroom home, easy lake access and beautiful lake views
About Staci Hackenberg
We are a recently retired army veteran family who loves the lake! We LOVE Beaver Lake!!! We were blessed with the opportunity to find a wonderful lakefront lot with a gentle slope to the water and decided to build a home.
Staci Hackenberg purchased this House in 2013
Why Staci Hackenberg chose Garfield
We built this home in 2013. It is on a great lot with main channel views. It has one of the easiest walks to the water that you will find on Beaver Lake. That is the main reason we chose this lot was because of its gentle slope to the water. Great for kids and aging grandparents who don't want to hike up and down to get to the lake. Also, off our shoreline is a rock shelf so it stays shallow for a good distance before hitting deep water which makes for a great swimming and snorkeling area.
What makes this House unique
I am so glad we decided to build this home! It has the views, easy access to the water, great swimming, and is on one of the prettiest lakes you will find in the central part of the US. It is a great place to just enjoy family!

Great lake house for families. Really enjoyed the kayaks/
Great place for the family
This house was perfect for our family vacation. There was plenty of room for everyone to spread out. Between fishing, kayaking, hiking, playing games or reading a book everyone was so happy they didn't want to leave. We're looking forward to returning again next year.
The house and area was beautiful. The amenities were more than we expected. So relaxing! I would definitely rent this again.
A great time was had by all!
Our time at A Shore Thing was wonderful! The home is open and inviting, clean, and well stocked. We had everything we needed for our time there. Our family of seven had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The kitchen was well stocked with plenty of tableware, cookware, appliances, and even some spices, flour, sugar, and other basic staples. The view is amazing, and there is adequate privacy from neighboring properties. The water level was high, so there really was no shoreline to explore, but that didn’t stop us from using the kayaks and enjoying the water. The two adult kayaks and four kid kayaks are a great amenity! We have more adults than kids at this point, so we brought along a couple of inflatable boats for more options. Make sure to bring along your own life jackets and you’ll be set. There is a mud room right off the back with washer and dryer to make the outdoor to indoor transition quick and easy. Staci was available for questions before and during our stay, and offered several suggestions about what was available in the area. They have a cell booster in the house, but expect that there may still be times without service depending on your carrier. We have T-Mobile, and there were times when service was non existent. This did not detract from our stay, but just want others to be aware of the possibility in case service is needed. Thanks for an enjoyable stay!
Great family lodge!
We stayed here for Thanksgiving! The kitchen is beautiful and well equipped. I had everything I needed to prepare our meal. My family which has 3 kids and my dad and step mom all stayed here and it was perfect. The kids had a bunk room downstairs and we stayed upstairs. The shoreline is right out the back door and my kids loved going out and looking for rocks and treasures! I’m so glad we stayed here! Staci was very attentive and they even put out Thanksgiving themed kitchen towels for our stay. :) We loved it!
We are so happy you all had a great time and enjoyed our place!
Thank you for choosing our home and we hope you come again!
Loved our stay at A Shore Thing!
We had a wonderful time at this beautiful Beaver Lake Home! The home was immaculate and very inviting. The view of the lake was just beautiful and we loved the peaceful surroundings. We explored the shoreline, went fishing and enjoyed the outdoor fire pit while making s'mores! The kitchen was equipped with everything that we needed to prepare all our meals while we were there. All of the beds were quite comfortable and the linens were great! We also enjoyed the big sectional couch downstairs in the den while watching the bigscreen TV. Would have loved a table down there to put our feet on....really the only suggestion we had for this wonderful home! Also, the home was within a short drive to Eureka Springs. We enjoyed making the trip there again since we spent part of our honeymoon there years ago. We will be putting this on our list of great family vacation homes!
