Perfect for sun-bathing & dining. Stunning views of the Mijas Valley and the mountains beyond. Private parking, central heating, air-con unit lounge, ventilators in bedrooms, community pool. Quiet secure low-rise complex. Located 400 metres from beach, 300 metres from Myramar shopping mall (with some 80 boutiques and the biggest supermarket in Fuengirola). Walking distance to Aqua Park, skateboard park, many restaurants, bars, nightclubs & other facilities & amenities. Wifi. Wheelchair access. This property also boasts central heating throughout...ideal for that winter stay.

This apartment has been completely refurbished in December 2013 and January 2014 and also boasts new furniture, equipment, linen etc throughout, own wifi signal, Full UK TV, central heating and has a real touch of style.

With a huge private terrace of 40 m2 (about 430 ft square) there is room for all to sunbathe and dine whilst keeping an eye on the kids in the pool immediately below the terrace. The terrace faces across the Mijas Valley and the views are stunning. The terrace also has fully retractable overhead sun blinds which one can open or close in seconds depending on whether you want sun or shade at any time.

The lounge/diner has cream/lemon walls, black leather sofas for 6, super black and clear glass coffee table with chrome finishing, matching sideboard and TV table, extendible glass and chrome dining table with modern leatherette chairs.

In the period from May to October, the most important 'room' is almost certainly the terrace. Unlike most apartments, this one boasts a huge terrace of 40 m2, which is bigger than the lounge in fact, and will no doubt be where guests will spend most of their time. This terrace overlooks the community pool (approx 60m2) and gardens which have plenty of room for sunbathing. The pool is open from April 1st to October 31st each year. The private terrace has plenty of space for sunbathing (sun beds), dining and relaxing for all. Barbecue and all of the necessary furniture and equipment are provided.

The 3 bedrooms (2 doubles and one twin) are beautifully done and the two full bathrooms mean no queues or crowding. One double and the twin room face onto the huge private terrace and the other double faces onto the rear private terrace.

There are two full bathrooms each including full-sized baths with overhead showers and screens, bidet, WC and sink with bathroom cabinets and large mirrors. Both are fully tiled from floor to ceiling.

The kitchen is some 12 m2 with fridge-freezer, gas hob and oven, granite worktop, plenty of cupboards and is fully-equipped with dishwasher, washing machine, pots pans, cutlery, crockery, glasses etc, microwave, cafeteria etc.

There is no separate utility room. However, to the rear of the kitchen, there is a second private terrace of some 18 m2 very handy for drying washing, keeping beach and pool equipment etc.

The apartment is ideal for guests using wheelchairs or with mobility difficulties because from the street to the apartment is all on one level. The terrace however is some 5 metres (16 ft) above the community garden so there is no security issue.

The apartment is located within Fuengirola and is a walk to all of the town's amenities..aqua park, zoo, beach, shops, bars, restaurants, nightclubs, shopping mall, skateboard park, children's play park, port, 1200 year old Moorish castle.

Fuengirola is 20kms from Malaga (new port, Picasso museum, cathedral), 15 kms from Torremolinos (party town), 20 kms Marbella (old town, boutiques, golden mile), 10kms from Benalmadena (Tivoli World theme park, Cable car) and about 115kms from Gibraltar.

The changeover day each week in the period from May to September is Sunday. In the remainder of the year, the changeover day can be more flexible. Arrival time is 2pm (14.00 hours) and departure time by 10am (10.00 hours).

About David Greene

I have been advertising on this site since 2007 (ref s6575) and am a British Chartered Accountant and I came to live and work in Spain in 1998 after a long-ish career in corporate finance. On arriving in Spain, as a complete change of lifestyle, I opened a very successful French restaurant which I later sold very well. I then owned and ran a small, successful real estate office but closed it when the property market went quiet here in 2007. I earlier lived for 16 years in Belgium and speak fluent French and an improving Spanish too.

I am a friendly and approachable guy and I want to make sure that my guests are happy with everything and, thankfully, I seem to succeed in that. I expect high standards when I go on holiday and I always assume that my guests expect the same from me.

I live just a few minutes away in the centre of Fuengirola.

Why David Greene chose West Costa del Sol

I bought this property in December 2013 because it is superbly located so close to the beach, shops, bars, restaurants etc and yet is within a quiet, secure low-rise complex with super, well-maintained community pool and gardens. The size of the terrace is exceptional and provides space for everyone to relax, dine and sunbathe whilst enjoying the ability to oversee the kids at the pool below and enjoy the stunning views over the gardens and pool to the Mijas Valley and the mountains. Although there is also private underground parking, no car is necessary because all of that which one needs is within easy walking distance. Finally, This apartment, unlike the vast majority of apartments here on the Costa del Sol, boasts full gas-fired central heating: irrelevant for most of the year of course, but such a plus in December, January and February when the evenings and nights can be quite chilly.

What makes this apartment unique

Tranquillity, location, amazing views, lots of private space inside and outside, privacy, wheelchair access, private secure parking, no noise from passers-by either on foot or by car, either in the daytime or the night-time, full range of UK TV channels, own private WiFi signal are all attributes that make this an exceptional property. The size, layout and standards of the apartment with 107 m2 of accommodation plus 40 m2 of private terrace boasting two bathrooms and a good-sized kitchen show that it was clearly designed for permanent family living rather than just as a bolt hole for holidays. The apartment also has gas-fired central heating throughout so another rare plus for those chilly winter nights.There are certainly other properties that can boast some of these attributes but only a small few that can boast all of them.

Lovely, modern, spacious apartment..

Had a great stay in this wonderful apartment. Once you get your bearings, its only a short walk to the supermarket (huge!) and about a 15 min stroll to the main Fuengirola area of restaurants/bars etc. English TV was a bonus and the pool is directly below the apartment. Thanks to David for his hospitality.

Owner's Response: Thank you to these guests for their review. A four star rating is good but it is the first that is not five stars so a tad disappointed. The reference to the 'main Fuengirola area' presumably means the Port area which is indeed 15 minutes on foot. In fact, the sea-front promenade and beach is just 400 metres away from the apartment (about 4 minutes walk) and this is where the closest concentration of bars, restaurants, cafes etc can be found. The sea-front promenade in Fuengirola is actually 7 kilometres long and there are bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, estate agents, etc all the way along it. The apartment's location so close to the sea-front, but not actually on it, is perfect because, although it is just 4 minutes walk away, there is no night time noise from traffic and revellers and one can actually sleep at night.

Excellent Accomodation

We have just returned from 7 brilliant days in this excellent apartment and I must state that this is the best apartment I have stayed in on my many visits to Spain. This is our second visit to this apartment and once again on arrival at the apartment we were met by the owner David and shown around the apartment. He explained all we needed to know and explained that since his last visit he had now installed internet TV that included all UK Freeview channels as well as many others.

The apartment within easy walking distance of all of the amenities of Fuengirola, the location is slightly elavated but not a hindrance . We have been to this part of Spain twice a year for the last 15 years and this is by far the best private accomodation we have stayed in.

Also within a couple of minutes walk is the huge shopping centre Miramar which boasts many shops, eateries, cinema and a huge supermarket Eroski which meets all self catering needs ! The shopping centre was visited on numerous occasions by the 3 teenagers we had with us. The complex even had a GO Kart track on the roof

The apartment is exactly what you see on the website, set in immaculate gardens with a good sized pool with every mod con you could ask for (and comfortable beds), including wifi and when travelling with 3 teenage children this was a huge benefit.

Once again the apartment provided a wonderful base and was very quiet in the evenings. You are also provided with a secure parking space which was very helpful when doing your big shop

We would recommend this apartment to all as it is excellent value for money and the owner is very professional and friendly

Brilliant Apartment in brilliant location

We have been to this part of Spain twice a year for the last 15 years and this is by far the best private accomodation we have stayed in.

Also within a couple of minutes walk is the huge shopping centre Miramar which boasts many shops, eateries, cinema and a huge supermarket Eroski which meets all self catering needs !

The apartment is exactly what you see on the website, set in immaculate gardens with a good sized pool with every mod con you could ask for (and comfortable beds), including wifi and when travelling with 2 teenage children this was a huge benefit.

The layout of the apartment was wonderful and the lounge area was perfect. The quality of the furniture was exceptional and the two leather settees were the best we have ever encountered in Spain as they both fitted 3 adults on and were very comfortable.

The balcony was very large with lots of chairs to relax on and got the sun all afternoon and evening

I would recommend this apartment to all families and must give a David a lot of praise for how he looked after us throughout the stay

We had a great holiday and hope to return in the future.

Very impressed

We booked this apartment on-line and one is always dubious, however, we could genuinely say we were heartily impressed.

The property was spotlessly clean, well presented and furnished and we were delighted with the little extras like an ipod dock and DVD player.

It was in a nice complex, we had hired a car but barely used it as we could walk to most places. We particularly liked the terrace which had a huge dining table, loads of plants adding that extra special touch.

Nice views as well.

All in all I would say we were absolutely delighted with our stay here and couldn't fault any part of it, so much so we have booked again for September!

Just like to say a quick thank you to David who went the extra mile. Thank you. See you in September!

STUNNING APARTMENT WITH FANTASTIC TERRACE & VIEWS

We have just returned from 10 glorious days in this wonderful apartment and can honestly say this is the perfect home from home away from it all location. On arrival at the apartment despite being after midnight we were met by the owner David and shown around.

Although still within easy walking distance of all of the amenities of Fuengirola, the location is slightly elavated but not a hindrance (my mum walks with a stick) we enjoyed the pleasant stroll onto the beach front where we enjoyed many lovely meals before hopping a taxi back to enjoy the rest of the evenings on the relaxing terrace.

Also within a couple of minutes walk is the huge shopping centre Miramar which boasts many shops, eateries, cinema and a huge supermarket Eroski which meets all self catering needs !

The apartment is exactly what you see on the website, set in immaculate gardens with a good sized pool (we had it to ourselves during our stay) with every mod con you could ask for (and comfortable beds), including wifi and a washing machine and when travelling with 2 children this was a huge benefit.

We had a great holiday and hope to return in the future.

Their comments reflect exactly why I bought the apartment in the first place in December 2013 as I was certain it would be the ideal holiday rental due to its size, layout, location and the fantastic terrace and views all within a quiet and secure complex with garden and pool. The apartment was refurbished and re-furnished completely just after purchase so everything is fresh and new and I shall keep it that way. There are so many amenities within walking distance that no car is required although there is also a private underground parking space too for those guests who wish to hire a car anyway. The apartment also has full central heating for the mid-winter months when it can be chilly at times.

Just Wonderful

We just spent a lovely week at this apartment and it was such a pleasant change from our previous experiences of renting on the Costa del Sol. David’s apartment is refurbished and beautifully furnished and has all the mod cons you need. Two things also stood out…the huge terrace which we spent most of our time on and the peace and quiet of the complex (and the great pool there) even though it was just a few minutes walk from the sea front. Such a pleasant change from trying to sleep with noisy drunks outside all night like last year when we stayed on the sea front.The shopping centre was only five minutes on foot away too so we had a great relaxing holiday and intend book at David’s apartment again.

Fuengirola is one of the most popular of all of the Costa del Sol towns and boasts a very complete infrastructure. There are 7 kms of continuous sea front promenade and beaches, loads of water sports and other activities, hundreds of bars and restaurants of all standards, many nightclubs, a super zoo, a port, an aqua park, a skateboard park, a children's play park, live theatre, huge shopping mall, many supermarkets and boutiques, a train station linking Fuengirola to all of the towns and resorts between Fuengirola and Malaga including Benalmadena and Torremolinos.

Within a short drive from the town are golf courses, an impressive go kart track, Tivoli World theme park, Cable car to mountain top, another aqua park, equestrian centre and paragliding.

Malaga is just 20kms away and the city is well worth a visit especially the cathedral and the Picasso museum. Gibraltar, Granada (Alhambra palace), Marbella, Ronda, Cordoba, Sevilla and many other places are all accessible via car hire, bus or excursion trips.

Weekly rates are quoted for each month. For any week that straddles a month end, the rate is calculated pro rata to the number of days that fall in each month.

Apartment fully cleaned, bed linen/towels changed before arrival and changed weekly for stays of more than 1 week.
From Nov to March, big discounts available for longer stays and very low £800 monthl rate for winter stays.

For weeks which overlap a month end, the rate charged is calculated pro rata to the number of days which fall in each month. The day of arrival is counted but not the day of departure. To secure a booking, the owner asks for a deposit of 20% of the rental charge. The balance of rental, along with a refundable damages deposit of 10% (minimum £200), is payable 8 weeks before arrival.
