Our 40 hectares estate offers extensive grounds, panoramic views and two different accomodations: the CASALE VECCHIO and the new CASALE DI SOTTO
Each casale has its private pool and garden area to let you enjoy your privacy during your stay, choose the one that suits better to you for the same price.
CASALE VECCHIO ( photos 1 - 12 ) can accomodate 4+2 persons. Two suite bedrooms each one with queen sized bed, full bathroom, kitchenette and patio, can accomodate 4 persons. The central living room, opening on a largest patio, includes another small but well equipped kitchen, full bathroom, dining area with luxurious ceramic tiled table, sofa, armchair, large screen tv, fireplace and a cosy mezzanine that offers 2 more sleeps. Air conditioning is available in every room. In the garden, just a few steps down the main patio, the circular pool will be for your exclusive use.
CASALE DI SOTTO ( photos 13 - 24 ) is composed by three apartments and can accomodate 4+2 persons. Only two apartments are linked by a door and can be rented togheter. The third one has no link and is available only for our family and friends sometimes in winter time. Each one of the two available apartments has a patio, a living room with sofa and dining table seating 4 or 6, a small kitchen, one bedroom and one bathroom. Inside the living rooms 2 extra twin beds find place on a mezzanine. Air conditioning is available in the living rooms. In a short walk you will reach the long fountain-pool overlooking the stunning landscape. It is for your exclusive use and thanks to a new salt depuration system it provides no chlorine water.
In a corner of the garden between the two houses find out the barbecue area, with extra large grill, stone sink and pizza oven.
Discover the nearby surroundings with plenty of hilltop rural villages, genuine high quality local food and wine, living traditions, prehistoric italic and Roman sites, Benedictine abbeys, and the huge sacred mount Maiella inside the National Park, where you can go hiking in search of wildlife or of its hidden hermitages, or trekking to its heights, or skiing in winter time.
Taste the genuine Abruzzan cuisine that is one of the most priced in Italy with its pasta fresca, roasted lamb meat, mountain cheeses and fresh fish from the Adriatic sea and its reds, whites and rosés wines Montepulciano, Trebbiano, Cerasuolo and the newly rediscovered old wines Passerina, Pecorino and Cococciola.
Davide and Alessandra live and work in Rome and spend in Casali ai Paduli most of their weekends trough the year.
Casali ai Paduli and its 40 hectars of land have been a property of Davide's family for generations, producing quality wines and extravergin olive oil.
The peaceful location on a hill regarding an open valley, the surrounding mountains covered with snow most of the year and the simple inexpensive lifestyle we experience here during our weekends are contrasting our frenetic days in Rome.
We are three families from Norway who has been in Italy on vacation the last 10 years. This is the best rental home we have ever had. the villa was perfectly clean, beautifully decorated and conveniently furnished. the view was amazing, and the surroundings stunning. The beach and interesting sites where all in reach.
We recommend the property to all, families, couples, young, old, for those who love both the sea and the mountains!
The property is a drive from the nearest town but definitely worth it. We were greeted by the friendly and helpful caretaker. The property sleeps 4 very comfortably: the other 2 sleep on a mezzanine above the sitting room which is cosy but up steep steps, and has a low ceiling. The 2 bedrooms are both en suite and have their own little kitchens, but we used the main kitchen and ate together at the spacious dining table or outside on the patio ( don't forget your mosquito repellant). There are fans and air conditioning throughout. The pool is circular, fine for a dip, but not for any serious swimming.
There are plenty of things to do in the surrounding area and several good restaurants in driving distance. The nearby towns are lovely, with narrow streets and interesting places to explore.
We had a very enjoyable and restful week there and would certainly go back
The farmhouse is situated on hill overlooking Torre de Passeri and the surrounding valley that provides a wonderful, relaxing aspect to wake up to in the morning. Davide and Alessandra were very welcoming and even invited us to view the grape harvest in their neighbouring vineyard...a wonderful experience. The house is charming, clean and comfortable and has all the necessary conveniences of heating/air-conditioning depending on what season you decide to stay. There was also more space than I anticipated which as great for traveling with my family including my 10 month-old baby. A car is generally required to enjoy the surrounding towns in the hills and also to reach Pescara and the beach. The only difficulty was that there was not much English-language information for a stay of a week (ie. where to put the garbage)- although the housekeeper Guliana was very helpful otherwise. Overall a fantastic Abruzzo experience and I would definitely like to return for another visit next year. Thank you Davide and Alessandra.
Gode indkøbsmuligheder i byen.
