Historic & renovated stone cottage home set on 30 private acres - dog friendly

About Jenn V.
Built in 1920, our cozy stone cottage home was built from the original farmhouse's foundation stones which sits on a private 30-acre property, then owned by the Santomenna family. Each stone represents a part of that family's history. A babbling brook meanders through the forest which connects to a small pond. We have lovingly restored the cottage over the past few years and have created wonderful memories here ourselves with each passing season. We hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we do.
Jenn V. purchased this House in 2015

Perfect getaway! Exactly what we were looking for. Beautiful, peaceful and cozy. Tons of wildlife all over the area too. Thank you for having us! We hope to come back soon.
Cozy and private
My husband and I enjoyed a stay to celebrate our anniversary. We wanted peace and quiet and it’s just what we got. Loved the cottage and beautiful view. Super eclectic and fun decorating made this cottage stand out. Thanks to Jenn for being very very easy to work with. Thanks again for helping to create a weekend we won’t forget!!!
It was such a pleasure to have you as our guests! We wanted you both to be able to relax and get away and we're so happy to hear that you did just that! Autumn is a fabulous time to explore and visit the Catskill area and we hope to see you again! Thank you for choosing us!
Lovely cottage on a quiet street!
I have stayed at other places in the Catskills which I also liked, but this place has so much character. First of all I can't believe the offering of refreshments. No one does that! This was the perfect size for me and a great central location in the Catskills. I will definitely be back. I only wish the windows could be opened 😄
Thank you Kathy for your stay at the cottage! We're so happy that you were able to enjoy the peacefulness and the Honey Bee Festival. Actually, the windows do open at the cottage but we usually keep them closed to keep insects out but I'll be sure to place a small note on how to open them in the future so your feedback is most appreciated. We hope to see you again!
Jenn has thought of every detail to ensure a relaxing and memorable experience at this adorable stone cottage. The decor is warm & inviting, there were refreshments in the fridge, bikes to ride, music, wifi, and I could bring my dogs along. We had such a great time exploring the property. It was quiet, private and just what I needed...I enjoyed it so much I extended my stay an extra night! Can't wait to visit again.
Thank you for your recent stay at the cottage Dee! It was lovely to meet you and your adorable pups. We hope that you will consider us again and we are always happy to accommodate additional stay time for our guests! :)
It was just what I needed
The cottage has a wonderful, comfortable feel. Jenn is so easy to deal with, there were even some great refreshments waiting in the fridge. The views are beautiful. The bed was very comfy. The decor was cute. The bath/shower is very grounding, and tranquil and the cooper sink is just beautiful. The ability to play music via sonos throughout the cottage is a huge plus and the station it was already set to was just perfect. The grocery is very close and there is a liquor store and an icecream shop near by. It is a simple calming place. If your need is to get away, this is where to go. I hope to be back again.
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us! Our cottage is not only a rental property but our own escape destination so we carefully choose amenities that we ourselves enjoy and want our guests to have that very same experience. Comfort, music and little amenities make it feel like home and we're glad we've been able to accomplish that for your stay. We look forward to seeing you again soon!
I've stayed in over a dozen VRBOs and this was by far the most accommodating place I've ever stayed. Jenn really cares about her guests and it shows. There were all sorts of amenities from Kcups and soap samples to towels, linens and fully stocked fridge on arrival. I wish it wasn't so close to a road with the dogs wanted to run free, but if you travel a few feet down the lane they had plenty of room to roam.
