This unique villa, built in 1906, is located in a typical Catalan and quiet village very close to Barcelona and the beaches of the Costa Brava. This is the best option to enjoy a real holiday with family!

The villa is ideal for 2/3 families wanting to experience Barcelona from a quiet setting where you can enjoy a large swimming pool and numerous activities in the mountains or the nearby beaches.

The house can accommodate 12 guests in its 5 beautifully decorated rooms. It has two bathrooms, two separate toilets and a shower in the garden. The lounge will delight children with lots of toys and a fireplace.

Two cars can park in the garden.

The house has a fenced swimming pool, a swing, a ping pong table and a barbecue. Everything is there to make the most of your family vacation!

The best stay ever!

We were treated always with such kindness –starting with encouragements to ask for any assistance regarding activities and information about the area before our stay, to a personal send-off by brother and sister owners at our departure. An example: Maria investigated and provided information on a personal wish to play tennis on a clay court –in advance she made reservations for us and provided directions once we arrived for our stay. We were also greeted with a basket assortment of fine wine, cheeses, meat and fresh vegetables from the nearby farm –and a personal tour of the large family owned villa that included a how-to to enjoy the wonderful outdoor pool, washer/dryer, outside lighting system, and how to lock the very old and very large front door and gate to the property (both unusual and fabulous). The home is on a large estate, completely private and enclosed by 8 foot+ stone fence and iron front gate, nicely landscaped with private pool. The interior of several levels was elegantly appointed with antique furnishings from the family estate, but also updated in bathrooms and kitchen to include everything modern that would be desired. We highly recommend this for families or group gatherings –our group consisted of four families, comfortably under one roof. If ever our travels are to Barcelona or nearby, we will be sure to stay here again (we liked the approximate 45 minute access to Barcelona, 45 minutes to nearby Costa Brava beaches and 1 ½ hour driving distance to France).

Des plus et des moins

Tout débute avec un excellent accueil de la part des propriétaires qui ont disposé à l'entrée beaucoup de documentation sur la région (excellente initiative).

Ensuite le tour de la maison : maison qui est restée dans son "jus" de construction avec un décor des années 40-50 qui a totalement vécu mais qui garde un certain charme (on aime ou pas !!!)

Le soir dehors au moment de l'apéro, tout semble parfait jusqu'à ce qu'une forte odeur de purin vous parviennent et vous gâche le reste de la soirée (après enquête, le lendemain, il y a un élevage de vaches à proximité).

Vous allez vous coucher après cette soirée gâchée et le lendemain, vous êtes réveillé trop tôt par un concert de chiens qui aboient sans discontinuer pendant plus d'une heure.

Bref, des vacances gâchées par les odeurs et les aboiements. C'est vraiment dommage car sinon la villa est très bien (à part le côté "vieillot").

Owner's Response: Surprise, étonnée, triste,… Cher Monsieur Pascal Degrave, je ne comprends pas. Lors de votre séjour, je vous ai envoyé 3 SMS et on s'est vue personnellement 2 fois et à TOUS les coups, on vous a demandé si tout allait bien. AUCUNE remarque a été faite de la part de votre groupe pendants tout votre séjour !! Impossible donc de deviner que vous aviez des problèmes dès votre PREMIÈRE nuit, car en plus tout indiquait bien le contraire: D'une part le texte écrit par votre charmante fille sur le libre d'or datant du 18 août: “Salut, Super maison, jardin et piscine. Très agréable. On c’est bien amuser. J’adore. Bien pour l’acceuil. A….. ,9 ans Jeudi 18 aout 2016” Et d'autre part ma conversation avec vos invités lors de mon passage le samedi 20 août. Pour eux, tout était parfait et ils étaient bien tristes de repartir aussi tôt. 9 groupes sont venus cet été. (98 pers) AUCUN de nos hôtes ne s'est plaint des odeurs: “Ça sent la campagne” ont dit quelques-uns et non pas avec une tête de dégout, bien au contraire. Juste 1 groupe c'est plaint des aboiements mais sans dramatisme. Moi-même j'y ai passé la deuxième semaine de septembre et j'ai pu me reposer sans problèmes. Cher Monsieur, on est triste car on n'a pas pu vous aider à temps. (Pour les chiens, il était vraiment facil d’appeller les voisins) Depuis plus de 2 ans on loue Villa Maria et c'est notre PREMIER COMENTAIRE NÉGATIF. Un de nos plus grands soucis et d'avoir un rapport direct, sincère et clair avec nos hôtes et malheureusement ça n'a pas été le cas. Cher Monsieur, si vous nous le permettez, on vous conseille, pour votre bien-être et celui des propriétaires qui vous accueillent, de vous manifester avec un peu plus de célérité et de leur donner l'opportunité de vous aider, aide qui malheureusement nous n'avons pas pu vous offrir. Par rapport au côté “vieillot” de la maison: La maison a formé part des JOURNÉES EUROPÉENNES DU PATRIMOINE 2016 Lors des dernières portes ouvertes, on a reçu la visite de 300 personnes qui ont bien apprécié les lieux y qui ont été pour la plupart agréablement surprises par la beauté et qualité des grands meubles quelle héberge. Toutes les installations ont été renouvelées en 2014. Même si la maison est classée et les meubles sont anciens, un autre de nos grands soucis est de créer une ambiance très familiale et agréable. Souci que d'après les commentaires de nos locataires (…. de votre fille et de vos invités) est tout à fait réussi. Cordialment, Elisabet Prandi
