A beautiful tiny house built on raised platform in the center of a lovely, flower-filled garden located in the courtyard of a funky craftsman-occupied renovated cotton warehouse apartment complex. Check out the exposed wood pyramidal roof, the rare1930's "kitchen in a box" unit, an artistic "shower flower" and convenient off-street parking. free access to a charcoal grill and good times for all complete the picture. We love this spot!!! It was like staying at a Beach House in Austin!
My wife and I loved everything about it, Inside and out. Completely minimalist with just enough frills. Close enough to downtown not to have to worry about interstate driving and surprisingly quiet for being in the city. The owner Nate had everything to make fresh hot cup of coffee and a couple of movies just in case we wanted to watch TV. They hang out underneath the house was nice and comfortable with the steady breeze moving through… And there’s a Hamic! Just basically everything you would need to enjoy being in or outside while staying at his artsy, time warp house on stilts. Genuinely felt like if Venice Beach we’re located in Austin Texas. Thanks again late we truly enjoyed everything about our stay and look forward to getting another chance to stay in your sweet little place.
Great little shack
Charming shack in a great location, less than two miles from the heart of downtown Memphis. Very kind and informative host. Lovers of small, efficient spaces will enjoy it. Comfortable bed.
When we arrived we met the owner, he was wonderful, very nice place!
It was perfect for us! It was so clean and so cozy, we absolutely loved it! We even loved the outside area where we could sit and talk and watch the stars!
Rustic digs for those on a budget.
Reminded me of Venice Beach CA in the early 70’s. Good quite place to sleep and near many of the Memphis attractions.
Loved this weekend getaway.
If you’re looking for a cozy spot to feel away from everything and still have a 3-5 minute drive to down-town, this treehouse is your place. The inside of the treehouse makes you feel like you’ve visited a cabin in the woods. The downstairs patio is an incredible spot to hang out and lounge around. We spent a good while on the hammock after a long night on Beale street. Couldn’t have asked for a cooler spot. Also, Nate is the best host ever.
Cute little one room raised cabin with bathroom
We enjoyed our stay in this quirky cabin. It had everything we needed for a 3-day weekend and was close to wonderful restaurants and Beale Street. The only thing I would recommend is a small step stool. I am 5'3" and had a little difficulty getting up into the raised bed. Once I did though the bed was very comfortable. We did not cook with all the great restaurants in the area, but could have. Cabin has a unique vintage stove/sink combination. We visited in August, but with two air conditioners we were very comfortable. The hosts were very accommodating and left us books to read, movies to watch, shower and kitchen supplies. Don't come expecting a Holiday Inn type of room, but if you are looking for someplace different and interesting to stay in, this cabin is it.
Located downtown Memphis in a quiet neighborhood 3 blocks north from the trolley line ($1) and the Pyramid/Bass Pro.and a 20 minute walk ($6 Uber)to Beale St, FedEx Forum, Orpheum and more!
