THE HOUSE OF ROSE
www. rent-cottage-Etretat. com
True character house built in 1882, it was built on a slope facing the sea on top of Notre Dame.
Each piece that composes therefore offers an exceptional view of a green dotted others as beautiful villas and typical of the Alabaster coast.
A 5-minute walk from downtown and less than 10 minutes from the beach, the house offers easy access to various tourist attractivités the village.
This gives a clear view of openness sensation on the sea with the ocean in the distance by providing a real breath of fresh air and allowing a profound renewal.
Atypical, its positioning among the trees with an exceptional view of Etretat, the sea and cliffs gives it a quiet and relaxing environment away from the busy tourist village.
As a balcony on the village and the sea, features suggesting relaxation and healing ...
We stayed with Daniel in June, 2016. He was very welcoming and helpful. The 'Jardin de Rose' is the lower part of a three-story house converted to three apartments. It is up on the hill overlooking Etretat and the views are amazing from every room.
The two bedrooms have excellent beds, but you pay a little extra for sheets and towels. The kitchen is well equipped. The bathroom is small and has a 'traditional' bath, meaning a cast iron tub with a hand held shower. The living room is very comfortable and Daniel has a million books. If my french was any good I could have read all summer long.
The village really is just a five minute walk downhill. Of course, that means a ten-minute walk uphill to get home, but the view is absolutely worth it. We spent a lot of time watching the light and weather change over the cliffs and the sea. You can easily see why artists have been visiting Etretat for years.
Our thanks to Daniel for providing such a wonderful place to spend a week.
