Staying in an area of outstanding natural beauty you will be close to miles and miles of golden sandy beaches, amazing surf, stunning views and coastal paths. Croyde Bay is just a 5 minute drive, or 20 minute walk away.
Top quality finishes and attention to detail make this an excellent choice for a holiday at any time of year. As you enter GEORGEHAM THORNCLOSE BARN you will feel immediately at home. A beautifully presented home with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, wood burning stove, mezzanine level, dining room, utility room, and outside entertainment areas and lawn. A huge bonus for families with young children is the large double garage with table football, table tennis table and children's pool table. Private off-street parking is provided for up to 6 cars on the driveway.
Cosy up in front of a large wood burning fireplace in the main sitting room (logs can be added to your booking basket). There is seating for 8 on an L-shaped sofa and two armchairs. Sliding double doors give you access to the garden from this room. Home entertainment includes a flatscreen smart TV with Freeview, WiFi internet access, books and games. There are also ceiling speakers which can be connected to via bluetooth from iPods, iPhones etc.
There is a second living area on a mezzanine level. A lovely space with a glass surround, double sofa bed, two armchairs and flatscreen TV, DVD player and play station. Under floor heating throughout.
The fantastic hall with double height ceiling is where you will find a large extending dining table seating 12 people (extends up to 3 metres in length). A high chair is provided. Full of character and charm, this room has exposed beams, and a wooden staircase leading up to the glass fronted mezzanine area. This room also has ceiling speakers which can be connected to via bluetooth.
A fantastic kitchen, superbly equipped with everything you could need. The kitchen has a table with bar seating for 6 people. Speakers in the ceiling connect to central bluetooth audio device. Appliances include a fridge/freezer with ice cube dispenser, double oven, grill, electric induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetiere as well as all other essential kitchen utensils, pots, pans, cutlery and crockery (including children's).
A washing machine and ironing facilities are found in the utility room.
Bedroom 1: Double bedroom with king size bed and en-suite shower room. Plenty of hanging and storage space.
Bedroom 2: Double bedroom with king size bed, en suite shower room and a large walk-in wardrobe.
Bedroom 3: A versatile bedroom sleeping up to 4 people. There are 2 x loft beds and 1 x double bed. There is useful hanging space and cube storage benches.
Bedroom 4: Twin bedroom with 2 x single beds which can be zip-linked to form a super king size bed (upon request). Plenty of hanging space and bench storage.
Mezzanine living area: Double sofa bed. Bed linen and bath towels can be provided on request as an Add To Basket item
A travel cot is provided
All bathrooms have heated towels rails and bath towels are provided.
Bathroom 1: Relax in a luxurious Jacuzzi bath after a day at the beach! There is a shower over the bath, wash basin and WC. This bathroom also has ceiling speakers which can be connected to via bluetooth.
Bathroom 2: Shower room en suite to Bedroom 1. Shower enclosure, wash basin and WC.
Bathroom 3: Shower room en suite to Bedroom 2. Shower enclosure, wash basin and WC.
Bathroom 4: Shower room, with shower enclosure, wash basin and WC. This bathroom can be shared by Bedrooms 3 and 4.
Relax in the sunshine in a large private enclosed garden with lawn and patio areas. Lawn games and a charcoal BBQ are provided for summer afternoons outdoors, with outdoor table and seating for 10 people.
Kids will just love the large double garage - filled with games including table football, table tennis table, a children's pool table and chess. A great place to store surfboards and bikes. There is also a washing line and exterior hose for washing wetsuits and sandy feet before entering the house.
A basic summerhouse is used for garden furniture storage.
Private off street parking is provided on a paved parking area for up to 6 cars. This drive is shared with the adjoining property.

WALK TO - Georgeham village with excellent local pubs and village store. For walkers there is the fantastic South West Coast Path just a few minutes away.
CYCLE TO - Braunton village, Croyde Beach, Putsborough Beach. Croyde is a magical place nestling around a stream running down to the sea. This award-winning sandy beach is fine and flat, ideal for children and good for surfing. With Rock pools are in abundance and dunes a haven for young and intrepid explorers. Local fun parks for the children such as Cascades Pool Park are a great way to spend the day. Croyde Bay is renowned as a premier surfing beach destination in England for short and long boards. For the more adventurous, kite surfing, volley ball, kayaking and horse riding is on your doorstep. Within walking distance of Croyde beach enjoy its ice cream shop, gourmet restaurants, superb village pubs, surf shops, and art gallery.
