Our charming 1930’s cottage is located in the heart of Anacortes - perfectly situated for exploring Fidalgo and the San Juan Islands. Walking distance to historic downtown shops and restaurants, as well as the Cap Sante Marina waterfront. Two blocks down the road to Starbucks and three blocks to grocery and pharmacy stores.
A three and a half mile drive takes you to the Washington State Ferry Terminal where you can catch a scenic boat ride through the islands and explore quaint island towns like Friday Harbor on San Juan Island. For hikers and mountain bikers, Anacortes has over 50 miles of well groomed forest trails traversing 2,800 acres of Community Forest Land. A two mile drive takes you to one of the main entrances to this trail system at Cranberry Lake. Just 10 miles away, Deception Pass State Park and Whidbey Island await. During the summer months, Anacortes is host to a number of large festivals including the Waterfront Festival in June and the Anacortes Arts Festival in August.
Our home has all the comforts to make your stay cozy and relaxing. Enjoy a good book by the garden pond or a glass of wine around the gas firepit or at the tiki bar. The master bedroom offers a king size bed and the second bedroom offers a queen, both with luxurious bedding and down duvets. The newly renovated bathroom has a shower and tub lined with subway tiles. The living room has comfortable seating and 40 inch flat screen smart TV with cable and a Bluray DVD player. The kitchen is fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes and all the cooking essentials to enjoy the local bounty from the Skagit Valley farmers and local fishermen. A large gas barbeque and burner is located on the patio for grilling and boiling your fresh meats and veggies. Outdoor patio sets on either side of the cottage provide al fresco dining options or enjoy your meal inside on large solid oak dining set.
There is a binder in the cottage that will acquaint you with the cottage and its systems. This binder is also well stocked with local area information on sights to see, shopping, restaurants and activities. There is a Chamber of Commerce office in town with very helpful information on all that Anacortes and nearby towns have to offer.
